Unser charmantes Cottage mit 2 Schlafzimmern und seiner Veranda ist warm, gemütlich und einladend. Die Holz- und Fliesenböden bieten eine saubere und offene Atmosphäre. Die Schlafzimmer mit Holzböden sind hell und gemütlich. Eines der Schlafzimmer hat einen Fensterplatz mit Blick auf den Fluss, es ist ein großartiger Raum, um das natürliche Licht aufzunehmen und zu lesen oder einfach nur zu sitzen und zu entspannen.
Die Lage ist großartig und unser Haus mit seinem Charme und Komfort ist ein Muss.

The stay was very nice, nice and cozy, but we didn’t know the owners lived on the property too, but it was cool I need better roll out beds due to you feel the spring thicker mattress It was a cool nice stay and they need a new pot sets for Family that want to cook.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Joel's home this past weekend! From start to finish, Joel was an exceptional host. He was communicative and friendly, making the booking and check-in process seamless. Upon arrival after a 3-hour drive, we were greeted with a delightful surprise—a bottle of wine on the dining room table, which was the perfect touch to unwind and kick off our getaway.Joel went above and beyond by providing thoughtful recommendations for local spots to explore and places to order food from, which made our weekend even more enjoyable. My girlfriend, our dog, and I felt right at home in the beautifully maintained accommodations, which were clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly.What truly set Joel apart was his flexibility. He graciously allowed us to stay a few hours past checkout time, giving us the chance to visit a few more local gems we hadn’t gotten to yet. We enjoyed our stay but there were drawbacks. Busy, noisy road (not disclosed). No outlet near bathroom sink for shaver/curling iron, etc., no mirror/outlet combo anywhere. Way too much "decor" on shelves, etc. Esp. kitchen needed a deep cleaning in cabinets. Microwave on top of fridge is a no-no. Steep, narrow stairs. Dangerous step down to bathroom. Closets full of bedding, beds. Old, smelly vacuum. Awkward front door. 4-poster bed blocked room, awkward for large or pregnant person. Difficult parking. Odd assortment of dishes & flatware, no sharp knives. Electric grill tripped GFCI & was unusable. We meant to rate 3-stars but could not edit.

Perfect place for a stay

My wife and I stayed here for a week with our dog while we were having our floors done at home. This was the perfect place for us. It was clean, inviting and it was close to everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant One Month Stay

This home was perfect for our one month stay in the area! Convenient to shopping and Yale University. As others have mentioned, it is located very close to a busy road and can be quite noisy at times. Additionally, being a 100 y/o home there are some quirks, but overall it is quite charming and made for a wonderful stay for us. The owners are nearby and were very accomodating to requests throughout our stay. I would definitely book again and also recommend to others!

Cute bungalow

We stayed for a short visit and had everything that we needed. It’s a cute old house with a very comfy bed and living room. The kitchen had whatever we needed and there were various ways to heat the house. The hosts were very sweet. The bedrooms are upstairs and if you have any mobility issues- this may not be the place for you. We would stay again!

Great cottage!

This is a wonderful 2 bedroom cottage in a lovely town . Close to everything! We were there early December so there were lots of beautiful sights. Just note the stairs to bedrooms were tricky.Joel, the owner was super responsive and worked hard to accommodate us when we had extra needs!

Lovely Home

What else can I say about this home it is absolutely beautiful They are sure to have it fully equipped they thought of everything toilet paper to coffee to wine they are the perfect hosts. I brought my dog and they have a nice little patio out in the yard he was able to run around there a little bit and do his thing. Across the street there is the beach and a trail and lighthouse Park is only a few minutes away and that was very nice as well. They are a lovely couple that on the home we are extremely grateful to both of them we had a wonderful weekend my family was delighted the beds were comfortable the couch was comfortable and the house was completely clean so thank you so much for a lovely weekend

Quirky cottage

The cottage was sweet and clean. The stairs are very steep and the street noisy. The bathroom door sticks and is noisy when it Is opened from the inside. Only one small cookie sheet. No real baking supplies like pie pans and rolling pin for example. No guest parking which was a bit of a problem at first for family who wanted to visit with us. Owner lives next door and was responsive to our questions.

Great cottage by the best little beach

Loved my stay at this cottage! Plenty of space, probably too much space for just me :) Wonderful little touches such as fresh filtered water, bottle of wine etc. Super convenient to the best little beach, which was what I was looking for. Definitely on a busy street though. That would be the only potential down side.

Good place in a nice area, good beach, nice owners with minimal pots and pans for cooking on a surprisingly busy (in August) and noisy street given the low speed limit and stop sign. We're full time travelers

Just right for us!

This was the cutest little cottage! Just right for my wife and I and our two dogs. The inside was very charming and it was stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the location as it was close to everything and convenient for our family we visited close by. We liked that it had a small fenced yard out back for the dogs and there was also a fenced dog park nearby. The hosts were very accommodating and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the area. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Disappointing

Nice neighborhood but busy location right near a stop sign locals fly through. Driveway extremely tough only access on main road owner requests park close to house to give him access to his house next door and has some areas blocked with garbage cans which makes more than one car visiting impossible.I had to confirm to the owner we needed the second bed made up even though I clearly booked for 2 adults 2 kids so needed all 3 beds. The four poster in the master creaks every time you move and the guest room second bed is more of a temporary cot than a bed, bedrooms very tight. Downstairs is better with enough space for 4 Electricity went off when family was getting ready for my wedding and owner came over to reset / restart it which was good I booked it for family as it was my wedding that weekend and noticed a mark on the counter and a tray of water in the oven on arrival that we thought was very strange , my family forgot to take a picture as requested and busy with my wedding I forgot to mention to the owner. We were charged for damages we did not do and I am not happy with the owners insistence he checked the property before we arrived as he clearly did not. I have never had less than a great review left or received and am disappointed .
