Welcome to Rachel's Beach House!

Walk on the flat sand, tide-contingent beach from East Beach to the Sea Island Golf Club. Stroll a quick five minutes to the Lighthouse, the Pier or restaurants in the Village. Eat al fresco at Mullet Bay. All of this is possible from Rachel's Beach House at St. Simons.

From your second story patio you can watch the large ships come into port or see the dolphins play from the beach access which is a few steps from your condo.

All of this is available from a newly updated condo with contemporary furniture and a modern kitchen that features stainless steel appliances and unique sea shell counters. A sleeper sofa, love seat and chair welcome you to sit back in relax.

Enjoy St. Simons – golf, beach and biking. Schedule great day trips to Cumberland, Jekyl l and Sapelo Islands and the Okefenokee Swamp. Catch the shrimp fleet in Darien. You'll wonder how quickly the time flies.

Loved this place check-in was smooth kitchen facilities was well equipped and it was clean all over needs more pillowcase washcloths only 2location was perfect you could tell if someone was entering the property door would compress .it took some getting used to, all the family games you would ever need, parking was good because all 4 under was not occupied 3/5 min walk to the beach 8/10 min walk to Mallery st.overall 10/10 I would book again

Great location!

Wonderful location....so close to the beach and village! The bathroom situation is a little strange and master bed is a full size (thought it was listed as a queen) but overall a great stay!

Nice condo near downtown and beach

The condo was clean and pretty comfortable, with a full kitchen, but we thought it had an ocean view room, and it was upstairs over an apartment being renovated from 7am everyday. It was quite a walk down to the pier and lighthouse with a good variety of restaurants. Not much nightlife going on here during late December on the weekend, which surprised me.

Clean & comfortable. Great Location

We are senior citizens (75+) and we chose to sleep in the 2nd bedroom with the twin beds because the bed in the master bedroom was SO high we could not get into it. Also felt it could be a safety factor when getting out of bed especially at night! Not sure picture of master bedroom is current?? Are high beds the new thing?? Other than that, condo was clean, well stocked with necessities and comfortable. Great location - easy walk to restaurants, the pier and village.

Beautiful condo, horrible beds as hard as the ground!

This is a clean, updated and lovely condo. It's right near the beach. It's close to the village. It's got a decently stocked kitchen. A nice balcony porch. The only problem is the beds. They have clearly bought the cheapest possible mattresses. For $150 or more a night, one can expect a semi-decent bed. This is not a good bed in the master, and even the twin beds in the kid's room were cheap. When I contacted the property manages I was told to sleep on the couch, or push two twin beds together. Although they did bring an eggshell topper, it made little difference since the bed was so uncomfortable. It was also creaky--and every time you moved made loud noises. If you want a comfortable stay, just understand although everything else is lovely about this rental, the beds aren't.

This condo was completely renovated last year and all the furnishings and beddings were brand new and top quality. Everyone has different comfort needs, of course. Our owner selected a firm mattress thinking it would suit the largest percentage of guest's preferences. As a replacement, we have decided to purchase another mattress that is less firm. Also of note, we never suggested this guest sleep on the sofa (it's actually not allowed as per our rental agreement). It is a sofa sleeper and we offered this as a possible comfort option. We really do care about our guests!

Post pandemic get away

My husband and I were happy to get away from the 4 walls we've been staring at since the pandemic. We loved this town since our 1st visit 7yrs ago. We love parking and walking everywhere and feeling safe. This apartment offers a perfect location! It's 7 min walk from the village, 3 mins from the beach, you get a small view of the water from the balcony which is nice. The property appears to have been remodeled, I'm not sure how recent but the furniture is fairly new. The apartment looks exactly as the pics. However the bed in the master is horrible. It needs to be replaced ASAP. I thought it may breakdown actually. My husband and I slept separately 2 of the 3 nights. I also feel like the cleaning service isn't doing a very good job. The glass shower doors were dirty, several hairs 😳 not mine found in the bathroom. My husband and me are bald are nearly so. And anything we used in the kitchen needed to be washed first. We went in cleaning. After that, we enjoyed our stay!

So happy you and your husband were able to get away and enjoy fabulous St. Simons Island! This condo is in the perfect location to enjoy the beach as well as village. So sorry for the condition of the Master bed - I wish you would have contacted us. In just a few minutes, we were able to tighten up the frame and make the bed comfortable again. Also, we have passed your feedback about the cleanliness on to our cleaning company. Hope you'll be back to stay with us in the near future.

Updated, attractive condo with ocean view, short walk to Village

This condo offers spacious rooms, all-new kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, a view of the ocean, access to the beach across the street, and a short walk to Neptune Park, the historic lighthouse, and shops and restaurants in The Village at the south end of the island. A great place to relax with easy access to all the great attractions available on St. Simons Island. Owners keep the condo immaculately clean and make sure renter's needs are met and typically exceeded.

We had a great experience with our first trip to SSI. Accommodations were “spot on” and exceeded all expectations. Location was perfect as we walked to the village daily for meals and shopping. Would highly recommend!

Awesome location!

We had just arrived for our stay and as we were unpacking the car, we heard a ship whistle. I turn around to see a large ship silently cruising by. The condo is just steps from the beach which was amazing but you could also very easily walk into town to the shops and restaurants. The management was great, the condo was very nicely updated and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!!

Perfect location

We were pleased with the property and found it to be exactly as described. We were just across the street to short beach access and within easy walking distance to several restaurants, shopping, the Lighthouse, pier, public playground and pool. There were four of us "girls" ages 5 to 80. Loved our trip to St. Simons and will definitely return to the island and to the same condo.
