I do not recommend this guest. She was allowed an early check-in around 2 PM and made no complaints until the following morning—only after demanding a refund. The toilet leak was not reported until that point. Upon entering the home after checkout, it was clear the water had been running long enough to cause damage to the living room ceiling. The issue could have been resolved quickly if reported earlier. The guest booked two nights but checked out after one. It appears the second night was only booked to meet the city’s required 2-night minimum for short-term rentals. The home is located in a residential area undergoing revitalization and has hosted many respectful families without issue. While safety perceptions vary, the guest’s exaggerated claims and refund demands did not align with how the home was used or maintained during the stay. Hosts should proceed with caution.
