Die Unterkunft ist ein eigenständiges Cottage am malerischen Westende von Bermuda, ganz in der Nähe des historischen Royal Naval Dockyard. Das malerische Somerset Village mit seinen Bars, Restaurants und Geschäften sowie die ruhigeren Strände Mangrove Bay und Somerset Long Bay erreichen Sie bequem zu Fuß.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich am Wasser des Great Sound und verfügt über eine Anlegestelle mit Chaiselongues, Tischen und Stühlen. Die Unterkunft hat auch Zugang zu einem kleinen Privatstrand in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Loved this magical cottage! The view of the sound was even better than expected. We basically lived on the second floor terrace when we weren’t out. A few kitchen basics to get you through some light cooking when you don’t want to venture out. You can get groceries delivered from a local grocer. And of course, Christine was a lovely hostess. Easy to reach, communicated well, and overall super kind.

Great location - moments from two bus routes and the ferry (which runs to hamilton in mornings and evenings). The dock meant we could get picked up by boat! We used the cove every evening - incredible sunsets! This end of the island is gorgeous!! Itwas easy to get in and out of hamilton and ferries from nearby dockyard make the whole island easily accessible. And loads of facilities at dockyard make it easy to go on boat trips, hire jet skies or kayaks. The cottage itself is spacious and cool. Good kitchen facilities, plenty of hanging space, super clean, huge beds! We would def stay there again!

First time VRBO users vs all inclusive or cruises, but that anxiety didn't last long. Loved the acccess to busses and ferries and the supermarket was well within reach with a bus stop right there.Christine even offered to pick up groceries and put them in the refridgerator for us, but we didn't know what we wanted and planned on eating out alot..Having a private dock and beach was a plus.Very secure and we never even locked our doors.Another very pleasant thing was how kind the locals are, young and old alike. They are so polite and helpful with each and every encounter.Super quiet at night and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing.We had a prior booking that we had to rebook due to 2 hurricanes that stuuck at the same time and Christine refunded us instantly and accomodated us for the 10 days the folloring week.What a beautiful time of year October is here, hard to belive its only 1.5 hrs from home.Just far enough away from the cruise ships and crowds also.We booked another 10 days before we even left, it was a great experience for us first timers.Can't wait to return next fall.

Great property in a great location. Steps away from the bus stops to the dockyard or the southern beaches. Also steps away from commuter ferry that can be taken to Hamilton. Taxi’s constantly driving by and easy to access. Beautiful waterfront and small private beach very short walk away. Property is a little outdated but has a great deal of character.

Great trip to Bermuda

Good place right on the water, next to the ferry to Hamilton and walking distance to some beaches. Great for a short trip to get some beach time and see a few of the sites on the island. Place was clean except for dirty floor. Sports club nearby that was advertised appeared closed.

PERFECT location

We spent most of our 4 days lounging around the patio and dock, swimming, snorkeling and fishing. The view is so beautiful. We saw tons of sea life and enjoyed watching the boats and people. Overall good place and location

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) enjoyed our stay. Easy access to Dockyard, Somerset and Horseshoe Bay by scooter or bus. Ocean swimming off the dock at the back of the house. Kitten cookware and utensils were all fine. Some repairs needed to faucets and light fixtures but manageable.

Great little oasis in Bermuda's west end

This is a great little spot, perfect for four people. The best snorkeling of our trip was right off the dock and our boat tour captain dropped us off at the cottage so we wouldn't have to bother with a taxi back to the property! The convenience was awesome. The kitchen and breakfast bar suited our needs and between the porch and the little deck, we had all the outdoor space we could want. Christine was so nice and thoughtful and the property was clean and neat for our arrival. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, perfect location with amazing views. The cottage location was close to bus and ferry service. Several restaurants were within walking distance. We ordered groceries before our arrival, Christine picked them up and had them at the cottage prior to our arrival. Christine was a lovely host. I plan to return with my husband.

What a beautiful place. My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary from 8-7 to 8-14 2017. We loved this unit. We were right on the ferry dock and the bus stops so travel was a snap. The cool breezes off the sound were so refreshing in the evenings when we would sit out enjoying the moon rise. I would recommend this unit to anyone. Perfection on the Great Sound

Our family had the most wonderful time in Bermuda thanks to Christine and her fabulous rental accommodations. The place was clean and laid out perfectly for our week long visit. The bus stop is very close by and the dock and beach areas were great for snorkeling. We even took out their small kayak and toured around kings islands and mangrove bay, sighting green sea turtles aplenty along the way. Sunrise view from watford studio 2 was remarkable every single day and I got some really great time lapse videos of it. Sunset was really spectacular from the beach side. Our hosts were welcoming and warm, giving us good recommendations for dining out and transportation. We are looking forward to visiting the islands again and staying here.

Stunning views!

Even though the rental could use a bit of a facelift, we still had to give it 5 stars. Firstly, Christine is amazing! She’s responsive, helpful and gave us our space. She even picked up our grocery order before we arrived for us so we had food in the house! At one point we couldn’t get the TV to stream, so she brought over HER own for us to use for the week! The views were incredible. The views from the property are gorgeous- and the private beach just across the street was wonderful The ferry and bus are steps away, making it easy to get around. We had a serene and enjoyable stay.

Beautiful Views!

We visited for a wedding at nearby Cambridge Beaches and this location was perfect. Though there was a little bit of a walk in between, we enjoyed walking from the condo to the resort all weekend. Bermuda requires visitors to be tested for COVID upon arrival at the airport and you are not allowed to leave your residence until your results are returned. Ours didn’t arrive until midnight, so we would have been bored and cooped up in a hotel room… but this rental has access to a private beach and dock on the water where we were able to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery and ocean breeze. It was lovely! Christine was also easy to get in touch with and very helpful, which is really important when you’re in a country you’ve never visited before. 👍🏻

Misleading stay

Unfortunately this rental fell incredibly short of what we expected based on prior reviews, photos, etc. We were so disappointed and uncomfortable staying here that we literally checked out after our first night and moved to a hotel. The home was not cleaned as one would expect, there was even a dead roach in the single bathroom, which if cleaned should have been seen and removed. We took pictures just as proof for ourselves. The host was lovely and we thank them immensely for their flexibility but this property is in serious need of an overhaul. We messaged the host to let them know we weren’t going to stay and we received a casual apology and acknowledgement that it’s due for an overhaul but even that is not scheduled until months out. Look elsewhere but this property does have so much potential if and when it’s redone and maintained properly, just not now. Would’ve like to see the host offer even a small refund but we didn’t push again because of their flexibility with the reservation. But we felt strongly about the need to share an honest review.

Fun in the sun

The property's location is unbeatable. Quiet area, beautiful ocean views and easy access to the bus and Watford ferry makes this an ideal vacation spot. The snorkeling across the street is some of the best I've experienced. Bring your own masks and snorkels. There weren't any at our property, luckily we brought ours! You don't want to miss it. There is no need to spend money on a snorkeling excursion. We easily saw 10 different types of fish and spent hours in the water. The house was a perfect size for our family. The beds were super comfy and the shower had great water pressure to get the salt out of our hair. Unwinding on the balcony in the evening and listening to the waves and tree frogs was the perfect end to the day. Christine was great. We had food delivered to the house and needed the exact address. Google maps wasn’t cooperating. She picked up as soon as we called. * Some advice for those staying here: pull up the Watford ferry schedule, bus schedule and cruise schedule. Watch the cruise schedule and plan some of your adventures around when the ships dock at the Dockyard. Saturday can be very busy and it was difficult for us to secure transportation. The busses were full and didn't stop. Taxi wasn't available either. The app Hitch is user friendly to secure a taxi, but everyone was busy or in other areas of the island. So we changed plans and went snorkeling instead of traveling to the local beaches.

Ein sehr gepflegtes Haus, direkt am Haus ist eine Badestelle (Wasser über Leiter erreichbar) und direkt auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Straße ist ein wunderbarer Privatstrand. Schlafzimmer: Für 4 Personen perfekt (1 großes Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten), das Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer schien o.k., haben wir aber nicht genutzt, da nur zu viert. Küche: gut eingerichtet, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Waschmaschine, kein Geschirrspüler, Herd; Backofen Microwelle. Lage ist sehr ruhig (bis auf Froschgequake in der Nacht) und die Aussicht von der Terrasse wunderbar (Sonne dort von morgens bis abends!)
