Paradise on a Platter
Beautiful Diana and Handsome Steve,
Thank you for facilitating our "Once-in-a-lifetime" visit to the very special island of Bermuda. And what a spectacular location! Not just another pebble on another beach, Sand Pebble at Marley Beach is a truly idyllic location - thank you for giving us paradise on a platter. Thank you also for being the host and hostess with the mostest - your special blend of elegance, charm and generosity of spirit was very much appreciated.
Love and kisses

One in a million property-- it's absolutely perfect.
The combination of the private beach access (seriously unparalleled beach access), the ocean views from your own lush lawn, and the clean comfortable amenities of the studio itself creates an experience that honestly can't be duplicated. We're already planning a return trip.
Great views and an even better location!
Just returned from a 7 night stay at Sand Pebble. My husband and I loved it! We were the only ones on the private beach the entire week and meals on our little patio were better than any meal that we had outside of our little Sand Pebble oasis. Like others have said, the walk up from the beach is a lot but if you take it slowly most people should be ok. What’s the rush? Enjoy your surroundings and take your time. The bus stop was unbelievably convenient. Less than 10 minutes to Horseshoe Bay and 5 minutes to Warwick Long Bay (our favorite.) My one complaint would be the cleanliness of the apartment when we arrived. I feel like they could have done a more thorough job, like clean in between the fridge and the cabinets but I’m pretty OCD with cleanliness so this probably won’t bother most people. We are looking forward to our next trip!
Relaxing, pleasant, private escape
My wife and I were on our 5th or 6th vacation to Bermuda, looking forward to a quiet place with a view where we could sit at cocktail time and enjoy the ocean, as well as cook some meals. It had to have decent bus service so we could get about the island, and have restaurants nearby, too. Sand Pebble was just the place for us!
The studio was clean and comfortably furnished. The perch on the cliff above the private beach was excellent at all hours of the day for watching the surf, the ocean, the reef, and the huge rainbow parrot fish who clean the reef rocks and coral by feeding on algae --- you could readily see them from the patio/lawn in front of the cottage. At times we followed as many as 8 of them. The birds were abundant, too, especially the kiskadees and the elegant Bermuda longtails, which nest on the cliffs below the cottage.
The April water was about 72 F, good enough for us to swim in and on the days of heavier surf, to simply wade or frolic in. I even fished from the rocks, though nothing was interested in my lure.
The owner and manager were incredibly responsive when a plumbing issue popped up. They had a plumber come by and he and his helper worked around us to get the job done quickly, and left the place wonderfully clean.
We like to shop locally while on holiday, and cook some local cuisine. We used the gas grill 3 nights running, it worked just fine and made for excellent dining. The kitchen appliances and pots/pans were fine for what we looked to do, though there could be a freshening of some kitchen utensils and glassware. It was nice that previous guests had left some of the basics (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, spices, etc.) so we did not need to go out and get all the little stuff.
Walkable from the cottage (less than a half mile) are the Swizzle Inn (great food and drink), Southlands Park and Beach (right next door .. you can beach walk to it at low tide, or scramble over the rocks at higher tide),and Astwood Park.
We have stayed at hotels, resorts, and rental townhouses on our previous trips to Bermuda, and enjoyed them all. Overall, Sand Pebble was the highest value, and most relaxing of the places we have stayed. We look forward to our next trip there.
Comfortable and with an amazing view and ocean sounds
Sand Pebble studio is a very comfortable and well laid out cabin for two overlooking the ocean. Gordon was a helpful and available host. I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness with which the studio was equipped. The studio is part of a compound, several houses side by side and some behind all overlooking Marley Beach. We had close neighbors, but everyone was friendly and no one was noisy. The bed is big and very comfortable. The bus stop is right at the foot of the driveway, so it was easy to get around by public transportation and a great way to get to meet people. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our absolute favorite part of living at Sand Pebble Studio was being able to hear the ocean. There is a heating and cooling system, but we never turned it on because we wanted to keep the sliding doors open so we could sleep to the sound of the surf.
Great for a Honeymoon - or a second!
Beautiful property, fantastic views, and your own private cozy beach.
2 minute walk to the bus; washer and dryer just around the corner.
Great restaurants everywhere. Gordon, your onsite manager, makes everything easy.
Many thanks for a wonderful vacation,
John and Barbara
