Really the best location you can get - SOFI.

Ocean Drive, bars, restaurants, clubs, lounges, and shopping as well as supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, bike rentals and car rentals are all in walking distance.

2 Beach Chairs/Umbrella included with Free Beach Club Card ($40/day elsewhere).


PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PARKING IN THE BUILDING

The apartment has been completely renovated. Furnishings are light and fresh; bedding and towels are high quality and comfortable.

The beach is just out the back door, across the pool area, through a private walkway through the dunes. The condo is equipped with a Beach Club Card which allows you to receive two FREE beach chairs and one umbrella for free at Esteban's Place Beach Service (this is a $40.00 value per day anywhere else). The apartment includes beach towels. There is no service at Esteban's so either pack a cooler with your favorite drinks or hop over to The Savoy Beach Bar, just one block north for cocktails on the beach.

The building just received some fresh paint, new artwork and some other repairs and renovations. It's well maintained and monitored. However, please keep in mind; it's a humble, low key art deco building of vacation rentals, not ultra luxury accomodations like the surrounding buildings and the area.

More on the area, it doesn't get any better. Some notable hangouts are Nikki Beach Club, Carbone, Catch, Kissaki, Forte Dei Marmi, all within 3 blocks of walking distance. Boardwalk is right in the back of the building, parks and public spaces surround the whole area.

For more casual options, just walk north on the boardwalk where you'll find a vibrant restaurant, bar and shopping scene.

No parking garage in the building. A car is neither needed nor recommended but plenty of garages available in the area. Spot Hero app gets you the best options and rates. Uber is affordable and widely available.

The entire stay was outstanding. The host was great as he met us at the front to make sure we got the codes correctly, if we had any questions at the condo, etc. He even sent us a text with restaurant recommendations and where to shop. The access to the beach is super easy and there is someone there to provide umbrella and beach chairs. The pool was great as well. There is enough room for kitchen items with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, and cooking utensils. Plenty of towels for beach, extra pillows for beds, etc. Wifi was fast and TV instructions was easy for Netflix, Roku, Amazon. We will surely use again as the experience and hospitality was excellent all around.

Top notch location!

Clean, AC works GREAT! Plenty of pillows (may be weird to call out, but I sleep with a lot of pillows and my husband and I easily had 4 each here.) Host was very communicative. The location is awesome. Immediate beach access, and love that it also has a pool (for those that love vacation but not sand/ocean). So close to amazing restaurants. Everything was walkable. No need for cabs or ubers.

This was our first visit to Miami Beach, and we researched a lot of things before committing - plus got really lucky. The location is just a block away from the louder all night action on the strip, but you can feel that noise and commotion slip away as you're walking. It was so nice to stay somewhere quiet. The beach is literally downstairs, and the chair/umbrella passes were really fun. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect location

The apartment itself is just fine, but you don't want to spend too much time inside when you are right on the beach! It's steps away from an awesome bike/toe path and the beach, with complementary chairs and umbrella, and it's also walking distance to many shops and restaurants. So the location had everything we wanted. The apartment was small but serviceable, though had some oddities, like a misplaced TV to the side of the couch, which made it unusable for the movie nights we had planned with the family. Jason, the host, is very nice and readily available.

Good location!

Pros : great location- close the action but not too close. Comes with beach chairs and umbrellas. Right on beach which was very convenient. Check in was very easy - host gave us list of restaurants and recommendations and was extremely friendly and reliable. Cons : Bed was very uncomfortable, my partner and I had trouble sleeping. Place was much tinier than we imagined. No place to unpack your belongings/ no hangers. No tv in bedroom. Building is older, you get what you pay for. Pay more for better room if you plan to stay in it for more than just sleep.

Time together

Everyone from Carmen, property manager, to cleaning person were extremely helpful and pleasant. Can't say enough about the location. There is a great local market a block away with the best local food. The beach and amenities that come with the rental, lounge chairs and umbrella, are perfect. Don't over pack not a lot of room for hanging but they have been creative with the small space. Very clean charming place. Will definitely be back.

Disappointing

The location is great—right on the beach—but calling this property "wonderful" is a realstretch.Pros:- On the beach.- Public spaces and rooms were clean.- Appliances worked, and the kitchen was well-stocked.- The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were clean.- Air conditioning worked.- The free lounge chair and umbrella on the beach were as advertised.Cons:- Building access is confusing—read the instructions carefully. - The beach entrance code wasn’t provided, and the fob for the front door doesn’t work there.- The building itself is old, damp, and smells musty.- "Ocean view" is listed as an amenity, but this unit has none.- The space is tight—the kitchen and bathroom barely fit one person, and if you pull out the trundle bed, it takes up the entire living room.- Furniture was beat up, wall hooks were missing, and the bedroom curtains were absent.- Several lamps were broken, with damaged shades and faulty switches—you had to unplug one just to turn it off.- The bathroom vanity drawers wouldn't stay closed, making it easy to find the toilet paper (since there was no dispenser).- The bathroom fan was as loud as a jet engine but did nothing to clear steam.- Hot water took over three minutes to arrive.- No smoke detectors—just empty brackets.- The bedroom sprinkler head was painted over.The location is great, but the listing photos must be old. This place is run-down and desperately needs renovations. At over 350 per night with fees, we expected more

Great Location

PROs: Location, location, location -- steps to the ocean, in the heart of the action for restaurants & services, and through the pool gate you step onto a fabulous paved ocean walk promenade that goes for miles! Comfortable mattress. Good wifi and A/C. Efficiency kitchen equipped with the basics (no dishwasher). Quiet building. A pass is included for 2 padded beach chairs & umbrella -- a $40 per day benefit. CONS: (1) You must be comfortable with a virtual property host and can follow instructions from messages via the VRBO app for the check-in process, which includes a master building key in a lock box hanging on a rack of over 50 boxes (not in numerical order) in an alcove on the side of the main building, a different code for the unit's door keypad, plus a magnetic key fob for other door access. (2) Not a good building for anyone with accessibility issues. (3) There is no closet -- storage is only some wall hooks and the little drawers in the bedside tables. We had to live out of our suitcases laying open on a cabinet in the main room. (4) A table with 4 molded acrylic chairs is available to eat at or function as a desk, but rather difficult to use as the space is crowded with a daybed. To watch the wall TV, one person can lie on the single daybed but others will have to sit in the acrylic kitchen chairs. It's just not a pleasant or comfortable set-up for extended periods of time indoors. (5) Bathroom frustrations: no dedicated toilet paper roll dispenser; very tricky to get the cabinet drawers latched; the shower takes a long time to produce hot water and has little flow; the bathroom door opens right against the bed & nightstand. (6) Would not recommend more than 2 adults unless you have minimal belongings and plan to use the unit only for sleeping.

The building just installed a new/professional lockbox system for the building entry that is clearly labelled. As far as the other "cons" - it is really unbelievable how they can review this apartment as if it's the Ritz Carlton, when it's only $300/night and right on the beach with the best location in Miami Beach. See other reviews that are accurate.
