The property was magnificent! Location was spot on to anything we wanted to do. My friend and I go on an annual girls weekend every year and have already decided to come back to south haven and breezy beach cottage for next year's outing. Jami did an excellent job communicating i just didnt throughly read one of the emails so thats on me!

Perfect Getaway

Very nice bungalow, clean and well-maintained, in one of the best locations in South Haven with easy access within walking distance to downtown and the beach. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this property.

Perfect location. Very cute property. There is a closet with baby supplies (high chair and a pack and play) that I didn’t discover until we were leaving! I would stay here again

While the house is very old and shows its age. The house was well cleaned, the beds were comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at this ‘Breezy Beach Bungalow’. Perfectly located, easy walk to the beach and an easy walk to the fun, lively downtown area. We absolutely loved the backyard space that was fenced in for our fur baby June. We enjoyed a couple of campfires and did some stargazing. The backyard was also a wonderful place to do some morning yoga. The house was absolutely adorable, and we had everything we needed. We really appreciated the beautiful artwork throughout. It was so nice having a washer and dryer, and a fun basement area to play ping-pong. It was also great to have a wagon and some beach chairs to bring along on our beach days. The front porch was also a nice little spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, with comfortable clean sheets and blankets, and plenty of towels and washcloths. The neighborhood was quiet, and had me trying to figure out a way to move to South Haven! Lol! We would absolutely stay in this home again. Thank you to the owners for sharing the space with us and making us feel so cared for in this beautiful home. Our vacation was perfect!

The cottage was warm and inviting! It was very comfortable for four people plus fur babies! The beachy lake decor was nice and the everything was very clean! The only drawbacks were there was no dishwasher which we assumed there was from the list of rules and the second bathroom was in the basement, down a steep set of stairs! We ranged in age from 73 to 82!

Beautiful neighborhood

Loved the house. Six minute walk to the overlook. Nice neighborhood. Nice backyard. The living room did get chilly with the thermostat in the back hallway.

We truly did enjoy our stay and appreciated that it was a pet friendly property because both of my adult children have dogs so it was nice with them living away we could all be together! A few things that I would’ve preferred for the price that we paid… I do understand these homes are older, but I’ve stayed in many homes in South and they need to do a little bit of renovation1) no dishwasher-being there for nine days it was as major inconvenience. I do understand these are older homes, but there could be renovation done to install a dishwasher, especially when people are staying more than a few days2) I am picky about this, but I feel we should have a full length mirror if not in every bedroom at least in one location and there was not one full length mirror in the entire property3) rugs and things seem to be ran down a lot of yard sale items….house could definitely use a little bit of a makeover4) overall it was a wonderful location and again the pet friendly is a major plus I just feel for the amount of money that was spent. There should be some more updates and a little effort.Alot of the houses we stay in leave little things like a coffee bar with different items or a bottle of wine. One of them found out we are celebrating an occasion and had a special cake delivered. I’m not expecting that, but there was no coffee station or anything extra even the spices. A lot of the homes I’ve stayed in has 12 or more spices they had 5 we had to run and purchase some

Perfect in many ways.

This property feels like a home away from home. Incredibly cute, quaint, and comfortable. Living room was perfect for the 4 of us. Outdoor space was perfect for hanging out, grilling, and dining. Comfortable beds in perfectly sized bedrooms. 3 blocks walk to the beach. 4 blocks to downtown. Just perfect. Thanks again!

We'll be back to Breezy Beach Bungalow

We rented the Breezy Beach Bungalow for a few days in September 2023. Loved this house. It is two blocks from the lakeshore and about 4 blocks from downtown. This allowed us to walk to watch the sunset. There is a park on a bluff & the beach itself is a short walk. There are many restaurants to eat lunch and dinner all within walking distance. There is a fenced in backyard which was handy for our dog. There is a gap between the privacy fence and the chainlink fence that my 30lb dog tried to shimmy through. Beaches in South Haven prohibit dogs on the beach, but you can sit on the benches where there is concrete with your dog. Van Buren State Park and Pilgrims Haven allow dogs on the beach & are good places to rockhound. The house itself is really nice. Probably built in the 1920 with plaster walls with arches, beautiful wood trim and crown molding. We did not cook but the kitchen is well equipped to do so. There is a washer and dryer in the basement, but we didn't use them either. There is a driveway big enough to fit several cars. The neighborhood has a lot of older homes that have been renovated of really well maintained. The yard has beautiful landscaping with clematis that was covered with monarch butterflies and other pollinators. There is a gas grill and long picnic table and smokeless firepit in the backyard. We did not use these either.

Very cute house! We had 6 adults and the space was fine for us. We really enjoyed the back yard Firepit and adirondacks. It’s only a few blocks from the beach and not too far from downtown. Two things that weren’t really clear in the listing is that there is no dishwasher and the second bathroom is in the basement. We didn’t really care about the dishwasher but others might. We initially thought the second bathroom would be a problem but it worked out ok. We just sent the men down to that one. But I wanted to mention in case it would be an issue for others. Overall, a great property and would recommend and come back!
