Discover Céleste, a charming flat nestled on the 3rd floor of a building on Rue Ganterie, one of the liveliest, friendliest and most sought-after shopping streets in the historic heart of Rouen. Just a stone’s throw from the majestic cathedral, this is the perfect spot to explore the city on foot, amongst shops, restaurants, cafés and charming narrow streets. The moment you arrive, the contrast is striking: right in the heart of Rouen’s bustling city centre, step inside this little gem and let yourself be enveloped by a peaceful, almost suspended atmosphere, where calm and comfort reign supreme.

The bright and pleasant living room overlooks Rue Ganterie and naturally invites you to relax. We love settling into the ultra-comfortable sofa, watching the city centre bustle below, or sharing a meal around the dining table which seats up to four guests. Opening onto the living room, the fitted and equipped kitchen has everything you need to make the most of a short or long stay: hob, oven, microwave, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, crockery and kitchen utensils.

The bathroom features a shower and a vanity unit, whilst the toilet is separate for added comfort. The bedroom, with storage space, overlooks the interior and guarantees a quiet and restful sleeping area. A few steps then lead you up to the mezzanine, a true timeless retreat. Here, everything invites you to slow down, curl up and enjoy the moment. You’ll find a large 180x200cm bed with a mattress topper, as well as a desk, ideal for setting up your laptop, reading or simply taking a quiet break.

To make your stay easier, the property also provides ironing facilities — an ironing board and iron — as well as a washing machine. Bed linen and towels are provided to ensure a smooth arrival.

Regarding parking, the property does not have a private parking space, but it is possible to park in the surrounding streets at the current rates. The paid, covered car parks at the Palais de Justice and the Hôtel de Ville are also nearby.

The property is managed by L’ArchiDuchesse Conciergerie, available 7 days a week, from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00 pm to 9.00 pm, to assist you throughout your stay.

To preserve the quality of the premises and the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood, we would be grateful if you could take care of the accommodation and respect its surroundings. You will be asked to provide a credit card authorisation via a secure link to finalise your booking and obtain the access codes.

And to extend your stay a little longer, early check-in or late check-out may be available, subject to availability and prior agreement from the concierge team. A one-off fee of €10 will then apply.

## Neighbourhood

Rue Ganterie is an ideal location for exploring Rouen on foot. Situated right in the heart of the historic centre, it immerses guests in the city’s warm and lively atmosphere, with its shops, cafés, restaurants and pretty traditional façades. Just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Gros-Horloge, the Palais de Justice and the pedestrian streets, the neighbourhood allows you to make the most of Rouen’s must-see attractions without needing a car. It’s a perfect spot for strolling, shopping, stopping for a drink on a terrace or simply letting yourself be carried away by the charm of the old alleyways. The street is a bustling shopping street during the day, whilst offering quick access to walking routes, restaurants and the main attractions. For travellers, it’s an excellent starting point to experience Rouen from the inside, with its heritage, top spots and local atmosphere.

Rouen Rive Droite station is also nearby, easily accessible on foot in just a few minutes, making arrival straightforward for travellers arriving by train. Regarding parking, the accommodation does not have a private space, but it is possible to park in the surrounding streets at the current rates. The paid, covered car parks at the Palais de Justice and the Hôtel de Ville are also close to the property, a convenient option for stress-free parking in the city centre.

## Getting Around

From Rue Ganterie, you are ideally situated to get around Rouen very easily, with or without a car. The property is situated right in the heart of the historic centre: the Cathedral, the Gros-Horloge, the Palais de Justice, the pedestrian streets, shops, cafés and restaurants are all within a few minutes’ walk.

To get here from Rouen Rive Droite station, you can walk to the property in around ten minutes, depending on your pace. You can also take the metro from Gare – Rue Verte station to Palais de Justice – Gisèle Halimi or Théâtre des Arts, two very convenient stops for reaching the city centre. The metro journey between Gare – Rue Verte and Palais de Justice is very quick, taking about 2 minutes, with regular services.

For getting around Rouen, the most convenient stations near the accommodation are Palais de Justice – Gisèle Halimi, Théâtre des Arts and Gare – Rue Verte. The Théâtre des Arts station is a central hub of the network, served by the metro, the TEOR T1, T2 and T3 lines, as well as several bus routes.

Rouen’s public transport network is called Réseau Astuce. It allows you to easily reach the city’s various neighbourhoods, the left bank, the banks of the Seine, shopping areas, and even the neighbouring towns of the metropolitan area. To plan your journeys, you can use the My Astuce app or website, which lets you check routes, timetables and stops in real time.

If you’re coming by car, the accommodation does not have private parking. However, you can park in the surrounding streets at the current rates, or opt for the nearby paid covered car parks, notably the Palais de Justice car park and the Hôtel de Ville car park. These options are convenient for parking in the city centre whilst then exploring Rouen on foot.

In short, from Rue Ganterie, you can make the most of Rouen without a car: everything is easily accessible on foot, the train station is nearby, metro and bus stops are within easy reach, and several covered car parks allow you to park nearby if you arrive by car.

## Notes

Please note that the flat is located on the 3rd floor of the building and features a mezzanine accessible via a staircase. Guests with reduced mobility or large suitcases may find access difficult.

Check-in is via the ArchiDuchesse key holder from 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm, and check-out must be completed by 11.00 am at the latest.

The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm). In the house, all our guests are provided with linen, essential toiletries for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper, etc.), as well as one large towel per person, along with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit containing kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

Enjoying a holiday rental also means following a few rules to ensure everything goes smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the security deposit! Please treat the property as if it were your own: avoid causing damage, take care of the furniture and leave the place clean when you leave. Follow the guidelines regarding timings and the use of facilities, and respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. And if any minor issues arise, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Please note that parties are strictly prohibited (€250 will be deducted from the deposit), the property is entirely non-smoking (€50 will be deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 will be deducted from the deposit) unless prior request and approval have been granted by us, and any loss, theft or damage will be charged at the actual replacement value.
