Great place to stay

The perfect place to stage a tour of local wineries and dining in Staunton. The apartment itself is beautiful with fantastic touches like a huge shower, room controlled temperatures and modern flooring and appliances. Highly recommend a stay here. We’ll be back!

Great place

We stayed here to go skiing in Wintergreen. The property was perfect for what we needed. Everything is updated and very clean. It is an easy 30 min drive to get to the resort if you are going skiing. There are plenty of places to eat/drink in the area. If we do another weekend trip, I will be booking this again.

Overall great stay!

Communication was great. The place was as expected based on the posting. The shower is AMAZING - big, nice pressure, loved it. Full kitchen is really nice to have. We stayed during when it was exceptionally hot and the AC units worked great, kept us nice and cool. Love the location, very convenient to a lot of fun things - hiking, breweries, wineries, etc. overall we had a really great stay and hope to stay here again. Highly recommend.

The property is exactly as described. It is located in a a quiet location and offers lots of things on site to do which is extra special if you have kids (pool, volleyball, basketball, goats). We look forward to returning next year!

Great location, perfect for getaways

We visited the area for Edible Landscaping’s open house. We also visited Chiles Peach Orchard several times for fruit picking. There’s so much to do around Afton. We loved this home for our family. It’s very well located for all the things we wanted to do. The house was very well decorated and supplied in a minimalist sort of way. This was perfect for us because we have a very curious toddler who wants to get into everything. We had a bit more peaceful time since there was less for him to get into. The bathroom was gorgeous! And kiddo loved seeing the goats.

Welcoming retreat

La and Murphy are wonderful hosts. They were full of hospitality yet we had a great apartment to ourselves. They let us stay longer to use the pool with a water slide our daughter loved. Trampoline for kids as well and goats!

Great location!

This was a great property in the perfect location close to the wineries, breweries and restaurants. It was very quiet and peaceful at the same time. The home is wonderful and had everything we needed. The goats are adorable and we had a couple of friendly cats who were available for heads scratches and purrs. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy the area. They just put in a fire pit and sitting area outside as well.

An Amazing Stay

Murphy's Place was a perfect location at the vicinity of our family's homes. La and her family were harm and friendly. This property has pet and wildlife all around. Beautiful Awe! The interior was cosey and spacious. We will be returning during warmer temperatures, to experience the recreational activities of the Murphy's Place property.

The place is wonderful, and as described in the listing. Great location for hiking, wineries, and breweries all nearby. Everything you need is there, and the bathroom and the shower is very nice. Remember to bring body wash and shampoo (we forgot and it wasn’t provided).

We are so grateful we found this property. We were goi g to pay over 1000 for two rooms at the hotel down the road for two nights. Thankfully my sister found this as an alternative. It was so quaint and clean. It smelled good and everything looked brand new it was so well cared for. I could go on and on about the shower and how great the water pressure was. We were there two days and I took 3 showers because it was so nice. My parents and husband met the owner while I was gone early tog et ready for a wedding down the road and said they were very king. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again if we were ever in the area.
