The one good quality of the Wallace House is that it was clean. But it needs a lot of work and TLC to bring it up to snuff. It's very tattered looking on the outside. The walkway up to the house is uneven and dangerous including a splintery rail on the steps. The overhangs on both front and back porches is falling apart and unsightly. The furnishings are very low-end as is the decor which makes it a dismal overall atmosphere. This includes sheets, pillows, dishes, cookware, wall decorations etc It seems like the cheapest items possible were used to outfit the place. The outlet in the bathroom doesn't work and the bath tub faucet seems as if it's about to fall off. The oven was filthy and the Keurig machine did not work because it needs "descaling " This is not to mention that this house should not be rented in the hot summer months as it is not air conditioned. By 1:00 both days it got up to 89 in the house and that was with trials with multiple fans and opening and closing windows. We spent two miserable, hot nights there. We knew it didn't have AC but we trusted it could be cooled down. A LOT of work needs to be done if this is to be an acceptable place to rent.
