Perfect family stay

Very comfortable house, great pool and jacuzzi, playground for the kids, nice salon and kitchen, 8 bedrooms (moderate to huge). Everything was very clean. Daily breakfast (croissants, baguettes etc) can be arranged at the local boulangerie. Nice villages and walking trails nearby. In twelve years the best spot for our holiday with friends and kids.

The house is in excellent condition.

Our family had a wonderful week at La Clapassina. The house has facilities not normally found in rental properties and everything is in superb condition. We were a large group and everyone was very comfortable and never without a lack of something to do around the property. The location is ideal to use for sight-seeing in the area. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property while in town for a family wedding. Our group of 14 had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the home and grounds. The kids especially loved the fun zipline, and we all enjoyed the pool area and stunning surroundings. The kitchen was well appointed, making it easy to prepare meals for a large group.Our host was incredibly kind and responsive throughout our stay, even offering to help with transportation arrangements, which we greatly appreciated. The generous gesture of heating the pool for us made our time even more enjoyable.A few things to note: there are extra fees for towels and bed linens, which is unordinary, and although we paid extra to heat the jacuzzi, it wasn’t warm for the first 24 hours. The kids’ bedroom also didn’t have pillows upon arrival so they had to use the couch cushions.That said, overall, this was a fantastic experience for our family, and we truly appreciated the host’s hospitality.

A wonderful holiday destination.

This is a wonderful property in a perfect position. The communication from the owners was excellent, from initial booking through to departure. They were a pleasure to deal with. The house and gardens are very well equipped . The pool is superb. There are 15 in our family party and we have stayed together in many holiday properties. This one was THE BEST.

Family Vacation

This house is located close but far enough away from town so that we could enjoy total privacy and enjoyment for our family vacation. This is indeed a five star facility. There is nothing that has not been considered and provided. If anyone that stays here is not satisfied then they would not be pleased anywhere. The house, grounds, gardens, pool and spa areas are all very well maintained. Our family of 12--ages 7-83 all considered that this made for an absolutely wonderful vacation stay.

MAGICAL HOLIDAY RETREAT

Our group of 18 were celebrating a 50th birthday. Our total surprise when we arrived at this magical place and all the incredible details and comforts that Rose suppled were like a fairytale. The property was well kept, the rooms all comfortable and having own bathrooms for large group was exceptional. We received 5 star service from all the staff and were delighted by all the nooks and crannies of places to just be together, near pool, in the garden, dinners outside, kids loved the place as well. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants top notch location and superb comfortable and gorgeous setting as well as divine spacious home.. Thank you Rose you have a wonderful property, it is with sincere gratitude to you and your home that we had such a wonderful stay.

Pleasant stay

Very nice property. Enjoyed the beautiful home n surroundings. Needed. New grille n coffee pot but Rose had them delivered next day. There were some extra charges for sheets n pillow cases. I did not understand why as we paid for the house n it should hv been included no matter how many guests showed up. Rose is very very nice n very accommodating but when your paying that much for a home there should be one price n not any additional charges for sheets

Worth another review (previous review MAGICAL RETREAT)

Reflecting on our amazing time at this perfect property is just like a dream. Anyone who gets the chance to stay here will never regret it. Every aspect of this house delivered, the rooms were spacious and had their own bathroom, the living areas were optimal for hanging out and connecting, the outside area for eating was bug free and ideal for large parties. Everything was clean and functional. The pool was especially perfect for our kids. The seating area near the pool offered great night time wine and stars. Rose the owner was prompt if I needed anything and response within the same day. We highly recommend this place especially for large groups. We were a group of 18 and it was extremely comfortable. We hope to return over and over to this paradise.

Beautiful house & gardens, warm and helpful owner

This house was perfect for a family vacation and small wedding celebration. Rose was very responsive to all my questions and helped to organize the small celebration for us - definitely going above and beyond for us before (and during) our stay. The house and gardens are even more well kept than in the photos; the rooms have up-to-date appliances, furniture, etc. (each bedroom has its own bathroom which is a big plus!) and the garden has a clean pool and beautiful flowers/bushes. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in a scenic location (just minutes away from one of the cutest town centers in southern France, Bonnieux) in a place perfect for all ages (there are activities in the house like chess, foosball, petanques, etc.) I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding celebration at this house! Thank you for a wonderful stay - I hope to return someday soon!

French Charm and Abundant Comfort

I've just returned from a week's stay with a group of 14, and without exception, we were delighted. The public areas are comfortable and ooze charm. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and comfortable, particularly those on the main level that open onto the portico. The kitchen is well stocked for any type of cooking. The grounds are endlessly magical with space for dreaming, wandering, sports, or just watching the moon over the mountains. Rose and Eric met us upon arrival and could not have been more delightful or accommodating. The property was an ideal base for walking into Bonnieux or exploring the neighboring villages, and we did quite a bit of both. I will definitely be back. In fact, I can't wait! I LOVE this area of the Luberon and am thrilled to have a home base.

Fabulous house and welcoming owners

I stayed with a group of 17 friends for a weekend at the house and I cannot fault Rose and Eric. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped make our stay so enjoyable. Any questions I had regarding the stay Rose promptly responded and provided many suggestions. She and her husband went out of their way to accommodate some of our requests. Without their help our stay would not have been half as what it was. Every single person from my group commented on how accommodating they had been. The house is absolutely stunning and the photos do not do it justice, we are already discussing when we can come back for a second visit. Absolutely wonderful!

We had a fabulous family week in Gaby’s wonderful villa celebrating my Dad’s 75th birthday. The house was spacious (there were 21 of us :10 adults and children aged 2-15) and brilliantly appointed with lots of options for outdoor eating. The garden and pool area were really lovely and there was so much to do to keep everyone occupied and happy ( pétanque pitch, football goals, giant outdoor chess, trampoline, table tennis, bar football). The house itself is lovely and has everything you could possible need. The master bedroom is stunning! We didn’t explore the area as much as we’d planned as it was so hot but the surrounding area is beautiful with the pretty little village of Bonnieux only a 15 minute walk away and beautiful Lourmarin only a 15 minute drive away. Gaby could not have been more helpful or responsive. It was a pleasure to stay in her gorgeous house and we would love to return in future. I would highly recommend.

A very relaxing stay

What a wonderful week at La Clapissina. Very comfortable bedrooms with enough combinations to suit the whims of our 2 families (with our 5 children). The pool and jacuzzi were big hits and we enjoyed lovely afternoons relaxing in the sunshine on the loungers. We didn't need them but the villa has high chairs and a cot for babies which is always refreshing to see! It also has 2 washing machines (and dryers if needed) which means you can travel super light which is always a hit with us. We used the BBQ every evening and ate at the massive table indoors. In the mornings we ate breakfast on the verandah and enjoyed the perfect temperatures. Bonnieux itself is a few minutes drive away. A very picturesque little town, great cafés and places to eat (most with wonderful views) and little galleries and shops. You are spoiled for choice of things to do in the area. This was our first visit to this area of France and we were not disappointed. Many thanks to Gaby for providing a wonderful relaxing retreat and to Aurélie for looking after us while we were there.

Fabulous Villa for Family Vacation

Our American family of 16, ages 20-62, rented this fabulous villa for a week in early summer. The villa was well-equipped, a lovely mix of traditional Provencal with modern comforts, and spacious. But the grounds were the really special aspect. Situated in this beautiful nature preserve, the grounds featured beautiful gardens, hiking trails, large swimming pool, hot tub, petanque court, ping-pong table, outside barbeque, inside and outside eating areas, old stone ruins, and wonderful views of the villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste from some of the villa rooms. It was easy driving distance to nearby villages (walking distance from Bonnieux) as well as to Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, and Chateau-neuf-de-Pape. We also took a hot air balloon ride in nearby Roussillon. I highly recommend this property as either a base from exploring Provence or a place to relax amid the quaint villages of the Luberon mountains. I only wish we had booked for two weeks so we could do both more fully! Rose was very helpful in connecting us to the hot air balloon pilot and to Edith, a local chef who prepared our first night dinner and did a cooking class mid-week for us at the villa.

We Found a special place and area of Provence

We have travelled extensively in France but bizarrely never this far into Provence. Its such a special area. The colours day and night, clarity of air and the views from the top of the Luberon. We loved the fact that we could walk into Bonnieux to collect bread etc every morning. There is a footpath at the rear if you don't want to use the road. With this being a COVID impacted year we were especially lucky to even be able to book such a property due to all the cancellations. Suffice to say that we were delighted with everything. The Pool is huge and chopping wood for the BBQ and Pizza over before shooting some hoops became an evening regular. Aurelie was amazing as the house manager and couldn't do enough. She did the rare thing of striking an excellent balance of being there if we needed her but also allowing our privacy. If I could find one small negative thats the occasional road noise at the weekends but the best solution is to turn up the excellent outside speaker system! Thank you for allowing us to share you house. We had an amazing time.

Lovely home

We found this house to be exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay. Positives: huge home on a beautiful piece of property. Bonnieux is a very quaint village with wonderful restaurants and art galleries, and a short drive from all major sites in Provence. We took day trips to Chaeauneuf du Pape, Aix en Provence, Gould, Gordes, Menerbes, St Remy, and others. We also enjoyed going into town each morning for fresh bread, eggs and fruit to take home. The pool and jacuzzi are wonderful. The 4 acre property borders the luberon forest, so you really feel like you are secluded. Nearly everything in the house was brand new also. We had an infant with us, and they provided high chair and crib that still had tags.... The TV, sound system and appliances were also brand new and top quality. Each bedroom had its own wonderfully renovated bathroom and shower. Negatives: the house was a little too far away to walk into town comfortably. You really need to drive if you are picking groceries or running into town for something. Lastly, the house is so big and beautiful, but the decorating is straight out of Ikea. A small investment in an interior decorator and furnishings could take this house to a completely different level of luxury. All that said, we had a wonderful stay. The family that owns the house are lovely, generous, honest people, and we would highly recommend their home.

"After the very nice comment about LA CLAPASSINA sent by Walker, an american citizen I would like to precise 2 points First point The furniture is not coming at all from IKEA; the main furniture is from Provence (dining room, lounge, the master room upstairs....) Some wardrobes have been bought at MAISONS DU MONDE, those in the 3 rooms next to the kitchen which is a much better quality than IKEA Second point As written on the site the center of the village (shops cafes restaurants)and groceries...) is at 1 km ,5 ( 20 mn walk ) so it is quiet easy to walk to the village. Actually, you should take the shortcut through the CAPELONGUE Hotel,(Relais Chateaux) next to the house instead of walking along the route. the landscape to get to the village is wonderful -flowery and nice-smelling romantic paths- Gaby the owner"

Absolutely outstanding in every way possible

We had 13 adults and 2 kids stay for one week. The house is amazing. Everything on the outside is impeccable: the pool, the hot tub, the petanque course, the landscaping complete with lavenderand butterflies, and on and on. The inside is equally outstanding. The house has 4 floors and we easily could spread out and find places to get away and have privacy, but than meet at one of 3 giant dining tables for group meals (inside, porch, lawn). The owner linked us with an amazing chef. Her name is Soko and she's Japanese but don't let that fool you. She cooks amazing French food. She shopped, cooked, cleaned up, etc. We didn't lift a finger. It was amazing. We rented bikes (which the owner also helped us with) and biked to many places that were so, so beautiful. We rented electric bikes and traditional bikes. My wife, who rarely cycles, biked with me to LaCoste (7 miles each direction because we purposely went the scenic route) and totally loved it. She loved it so much, I am now an $800 electric bike for her! Point being, the hills are NOTHING on an electric bike. Bonnieux is literally a 3 minute bike ride from the house. The Lavender Distillery is a 15 minute bike ride. Saignon is a 20 minute bike ride. We are in our 40's, 50's, and 60's and every single person that had the electric bike loved all the rides. Passing fields of lavender, olives, cherries, apricots, was just outstanding. Speaking of outstanding, the owners of this house, Rose and Eric, are the best part of the whole thing. We have rented and traveled the world over and had thought that the Kiwis and Balinese were the world's most helpful and friendliest people, but Rose and Eric take the cake. They are incredibly helpful, kind, patient, responsive, and every other positive adjective you could name. I own the highest rated company (Yelp) of my profession in my city and I'd like to think I know a thing or two about customer service. I highly doubt I will ever meet anyone better than Rose and Eric. Rose and Eric, nous vous remercions tous tellement! Vous deux êtes incroyable!

Wunderbar

Anlässlich unseres 10. Hochzeitstages haben wir mit Freunden (insgesamt 21 Personen) eine Woche auf diesem Anwesen verbracht. Das Haus, welches mit Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist, und der wunderschöne Garten sowie der Pool haben dazu beigetragen, dass es ein unvergesslicher Urlaub war/ ist. Jede Partei hatte ihr eigenes Reich. Wir trafen uns zum Frühstück und zur Vorbereitung des Abendessens in der gut ausgestatteten Küche. Die Gastgeber waren sowohl im Vorfeld als auch während unseres Aufenthaltes hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen .

Perfekt!

Das Haus hat wirklich in jeder Beziehung gehalten, was auf den Bildern versprochen wurde. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Genossen haben wir insbesondere das Grillen am offenen Feuer, sowie das gemeinsame Essen im Freien mit dem Blick auf die wirklich toll gepflegte Anlage. Nicht zu vergessen ist der schöne Pool inklusive einer Vielzahl an bequemen Liege- und Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir insgesamt 8 Personen und haben jeden Abend gekocht und gegrillt. Die Küche war dazu bestens ausgestattet - auch mit Geräten, die wir selbst zu Hause nicht haben, einen Gas- und einen Elektroherd hat sicher auch nicht jeder. Außerdem ist die Küche groß genug, dass auch immer noch jemand hineinpasst, der gute Ratschläge geben kann ;-) Wohn- und Schlafzimmer entsprechen den Fotos und die sprechen für sich. Für alle Ortsfremden, die das hier lesen: Ich selbst komme schon seit Jahrzehnten in den Luberon und keine mich gut aus. Für Menschen, die nicht unbedingt das Meer brauchen, ist es eine tolle Gegend mit vielen interessanten Plätzen, nicht nur Märkte sondern auch landschaftlich und was die umliegenden Dörfer betrifft. Und gerade außerhalb der Hauptferienzeiten ist der Touristenstrom hier wirklich noch erträglich. Zuletzt noch: Ganz, ganz nette Vermieter, die sich gerade auch im Vorfeld um jede meiner Fragen prompt gekümmert haben, vielen Dank auch hier noch einmal dafür!

Un endroit superbe

Au jour du départ, Septembre 13, 2014 Une réunion de famille en Provence, c’était notre plan depuis plus que deux ans. Il s’est concrétisé en avril 2013, après que Madame et Monsieur nous avons donné l’occasion personnellement de visiter leur maison à Bonnieux. Maintenant, après un séjour de deux semaines, il faut déjà que nous disions au-revoir – des adultes et des enfants de trois générations d’une famille, venant de plusieurs régions d’Allemagne. Nous avons vu La Clapassina, Bonnieux et la Provence avec beaucoup d`enthousiasme. Certain de nous ont été heureux d’avoir l’occasion d’appliquer leur connaissance de la langue française, ou mieux de la tester et améliorer. Insurpassable était le plaisir d’être à “notre” maison; son charme, les jours à la piscine et les soirs sur la terrasse resteront définitivement dans notre souvenir. Nous remercions beaucoup Madame et Monsieur de nous laisser passer notre réunion de famille à cet endroit superbe. Une famille d‘Allemagne. Am Tag der Abreise, 13. September 2014 Ein Familientreffen in der Provence – das war unser Plan seit mehr als zwei Jahren. Er wurde kon-kret, als uns im April 2013 Madame und Monsieur persönlich die Gelegenheit gaben, ihr Haus in Bonnieux zu sehen. Jetzt stehen wir schon vor dem Abschied - Erwachsene und Kinder aus drei Generationen einer aus vielen Teilen Deutschlands stammenden Familie. Alle haben La Clapassina, Bonnieux und die Provence mit Begeisterung erlebt; einige auch Freude daran gehabt, ihre Kenntnisse der franzö-sischen Sprache anzuwenden oder besser gesagt zu testen und zu verbessern. Unübertroffen war die Freude an „unserem“ Haus; sein Charme, die Tage am Pool, und die Abende auf der Terrasse werden uns allen in tiefer Erinnerung bleiben. Wir danken Madame und Monsieur dafür, dass wir unser Familientreffen an diesem herrlichen Ort verbringen konnten. Eine Familie aus Deutschland

Maison pratique pour se retrouver en famille mais déception par rapport au niveau de standing annoncé et prix payé notamment via les photos : 20 couchages dont 11 en souplex , chambres assez fatiguees ( carrelages douches, peintures, jardin certes en hiver mais non entretenu) , propreté moyenne , accès autonome assez regrettable pour une maison de ce type, problème d’évacuation des le lendemain de notre arrivee, gere mais échanges difficiles avec le gestionnaire .

Le commentaire n'est pas objectif. Le vacancier a jeté des objets dans les toilettes d'où engorgement le lendemain de leur arrivée; Beaucoup de difficultés de communication s'en sont suivies car ils craignaient à tort que nous leur allions leur facturer les frais liés au désengorgement Le commentaire négatif est à replacer dans ce contexte Le domaine est très bien entretenu prestataire de ménage professionnel (voir les appréciations des autres vacanciers; les tomettes sont d'origine: elles ne sont pas fatiguées etc etc...

Un week-end absolument parfait

Nous avons passé un magnifique weekend pour l'anniversaire de nos 40 ans. Le mas est superbe, très bien agencé avec tout le confort dans chacune des chambres. La vue sur les montagnes du Lubéron est splendide et le jardin beau et agréable. L'accueil a été très chaleureux !
