Spectacular 6 BR, 5.5 bath, 4,700 sq ft lakeside home in the heart of the Galena territories. Truly, Galena's premier one-of-a-kind rental home, both spacious and private. Great room features cathedral ceiling and access to 1 of 4 decks. Two gorgeous stone fireplaces. Luxury vinyl plank flooring. Incredible lake views from sunroom. A 25'x30' bonus with 2 queen-size futons, a foosball table, and a large mounted tv for gaming and movies. Available as a 4, 5, or 6 BR rental at adjusted rates. 8 beds include 4 kings and 4 doubles; does not include 2 queen-size futons. 6 BR nightly rate (whole house) is $950/night. 5 BR nightly rate is $800/night. 4 BR nightly rate is $650/night.

Main floor includes huge great room, kitchen with 4 barstools, dinning table that seats at least 8, sunroom with stunning views, deck, owner’s suite with full bath, laundry room, and half bath. Upstairs features 2 bedrooms, each with a king bed and full bath, another deck, plus a huge bonus room with 2 queen-size futons, a foosball table, and large mounted tv for gaming and movies, inclusive of a kitchenette. Basement includes another king bedroom plus bathroom, as well as 2 bedrooms each with 2 double beds and a shared full bath, not to mention the 2nd living room with tv and fireplace, plus a ping pong table and large deck. The lake views will take your breath away.

The home is also centrally located within approximately 1 mile of the Galena Owner's Club, the Marina and resort/spa. You will have 7 access cards for the Owner's Club, which includes free access to 1 indoor pool, 2 outdoor pools and a cafe, which is seasonal, gym/basketball court, workout room, game room, tennis and pickleball courts, 32 miles of trails, and nationally recognized greenspace. Additionally, you may also visit Shenandoah Riding Center, which is always open to the public. Also with the access cards, you can rent a pontoon or kayaks at the Marina. Don’t forget about the adorable downtown Galena, with shops and restaurants galore, including the renowned Poopsie’s!

A wonderful place to stay for our family reunion.

We had family come in from all over the country for a family reunion. We had two babies, two kids, plus adults and we all were very very comfortable in this house. It was very clean and the perfect location overlooking the lake.

Perfect home for our family Christmas holiday!

Kitchen was well equipped. The view of the river from the four season room was perfect with a cup of coffee in the mornings. Plenty of room for all the adult grandchildren under the same roof. They all said they would like to come back.

Overall property worked well enough! Although the water pressure is the worst I have ever seen when more than 1 person was showering at once, and there was mold growing on the ceiling in the master bathroom. Most likely wouldn't book again just for that reason.

Beautiful vacation rental in Galena

We stayed at this wonderful home as a group of eight (older) women friends. The spaciousness and comfort of the home, the three separate outdoor patios, and the gorgeous view of the lake from every window made this a very special getaway. It was accessible to historic Galena, to two restaurants on the Eagle Ridge property, plus to the marina where we rented a pontoon for a lovely ride along the lake. We all highly recommend this house for a Galena vacation.

Fall Ladies Weekend

Our group of 14 ladies had plenty of space to spread out when needed and to gather as well! The home was very comfortable with many different rooms our group could fit in to be together. Beds were comfortable and it was nice having so many bathrooms to utilize so we never felt crowded. The home had everything in it that we needed--we had a wonderful stay!

Lovely home with tons of room! It was perfect for our family of fourteen with nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The game areas were just great for the kids, too. On the negative side, we were not able to get DVDs to play (for the kids) with the setup there no matter how we tried. And we all wished checkout time could have been at 11 am instead of 10 am. Overall, a great place to stay!

Property was just as we saw it on VRBO.

We had 11 family members get together at the location for 3 days. It was everything we expected. Plenty of room for all of us without getting in everyone's way. The entire house was excellent in every way. From the fully stocked kitchen necessities, bathroom supplies, and comfortable bedrooms. We didn't have a chance to use the "playroom" but it appeared to have enough items to keep young ones occupied.We highly recommend the property to anyone with a lot of people. We could have had 3 or 4 more people stay comfortably. Highly recommend this unit.

Family trip. Time is something we cannot get back.

This was our 1st family extended trip. My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves. The view from every balcony was breath taking. The open concept of her home made it look even bigger. Stunning setting

This beautiful home has a spectacular view of Lake Galena and the amazing sunsets. The eagles are plentiful and fun to watch. The house had ample room for our party of 12 including a place for everyone at the table. Our only complaint is the numerous things that did not work. If they are fixed we would definitely stay again next year.

Sorry some items occurred on this stay that were out of our control. The fireplace log set broke the day before this arrival, during the prior guest's stay . In order to fix it a part was needed which had to be ordered. It is now fixed. We provide 2 outside LP gas grills for this property. We replace one of the grills once a year ( every October) to assure a good working grill as they get a fair amount of use. One of the burners on the older grill on this guest's stay did not work . Sorry for that inconvienence . We will be replacing that older grill this fall. Last, the hot tub was not heating to an acceptable temperature for this guest. We have put a new heater in the hot tub, but are in the process of eliminating the hot tub for this property .

Nice NYE Getaway

We enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice! Plenty of space. No major issues and the owners were responsive when we had questions about the house. They were able to address anything under their control (took awhile for the association's snow plows to get to our driveway, but not much can be done about that). Views were very nice even in winter and are probably spectacular during other months. Note: there is no hot tub anymore so the owner should update the listing description and description of one of the photos.

Thanks Stephen for your review and your stay . You are correct that getting to the snow plowing of the driveway, was slow. I did what I could to expedite this, but it had to do with our association being over whelmed by an 8 inch snow fall , along with a downsized crew because of covid. We appreciated your patience and understanding on this matter ! Also, you are correct that we eliminated the hot tub at this property , and failed to get ALL reference to that change omitted from the VRBO information . A hot tub does not come up in a " hot tub filter " anymore, but evidently is still noted somewhere in a discription. We will get that corrected .

Unclean and outdated, lacked basics.

There was a safety concern w deck railings, they were fastened on with temporary brackets. The property had basic utensils but every thing seemed cheap and outdated for what we paid. One guest found old bathing suits under her bed which was totally gross, like it wasn't cleaned properly. The views and location were top notch and nice house and space, just needs work and updating. I know the owners are working on it and are new.

The home has a beautiful view of the lake from multiple decks as well as the sun room just off of the kitchen. This is a large home with enough room for everyone, yet we didn't feel disconnected from one another. There are separate areas that are close to one another as well as TWO separate game rooms so the various age levels could have a space of their own when they wished to do so.The beds were comfortable. The comforters were adequate, not as nice as most homes we've stayed in, but we didn't spend much time in the bedrooms anyway.The carpet is worn, but wasn't a bid distraction for us as most of the space we were in was wood or tile.The property location is perfect (in our opinion). You feel like you are in a private woods with a lake view, but you are actually close to a golf course, the Eagle Ridge Resort Inn (with some nice walking trails), the marina (great fishing dock and playground), the owners club (you have 7 access keys for indoor/outdoor pools, basket ball court, game room, exercise room), the spa, the general store, and the restaurants on the property (we ate at both and they were excellent as well).It was great to have so many private bathrooms for our family. We are already talking about coming back to this home. Our family does a high/low/buffalo at meal times (take turns saying your high and low for the day and one random thing. More than one member mentioned the house as their high!

Lovely Family Lake View Home

Family (elderly parent, adult children, college age grandkids) spent lovely 4 days at this property to reconnect after being separated during the pandemic. Great lake view with seating from all 3 levels and plenty of gathering space on main level and game space on lower level with ping pong table. Unit very clean and solid internet access. Weaknesses were low water pressure on 3rd level when lower levels using water and mixed TV connectivity. Two steps entrance to home without railing was manageable with assistance for elderly father. Amenity cards to Eagle Ridge Resort enabled renting very affordable pontoon boat. and 2 swimming pool options , one very kid oriented, helpful as lake is not swim-friendly. (Family did not golf but plenty of course options for golfers as well). Owner provided very clear instructions from get-go so no need for additional contact. Overall, a very nice get-away option.

Perfect Place to Relax and Connect

Stayed here for a golf trip with friends and this house was absolutely perfect to come back to, cook dinner, and hang out together. Incredible views from the deck and plenty of beds and space for everyone. Really an incredible stay!

We are originally from eastern Iowa and got married in Galena in 2006. It is such a special place and certainly near and dear to our hearts. We enjoy spending time with several extended family members and friends at the house and are always in awe of the lake views. They never disappoint! No matter what time of year!

This property is in such a beautiful, secluded lake setting, which such easy access to golf, the marina, the horseback riding center, the owner's club with 2 pools and several other amenities, as well as several trails. The property is also unique in that it accommodates large groups so effectively, with 6 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a large family room, dining room, sunroom, basement, upstairs loft, and upstairs bonus room. Plenty of room to both gather and spread out!

The unique benefits of this home are the stunning lake views, no matter what time of year or what the weather conditions are. Additionally, there is a ping pong table, 2 futons, foosball table, and "extras" such as pool towels, bath supplies, puzzles, games, books, and plenty of nice kitchen supplies. Lastly, the proximity of the home to golf, the marina, the horseback riding center, the owner's club, and trail hiking make it truly one-of-a-kind.
