The house was very clean and spacious. It was stocked with any kind of cooking things you would need. Very relaxing and only 13 minutes from town. We had a blast with 6 people staying here. It was great and are already planning our next trip back!

Enjoyed our stay. Great location. Well stocked kitchen and more than ample supplies. We had lots of space to spread out, Enjoyed walking the neighborhood and the hot tub!Only “complaint”, if you call it that, were the squeaky beds. Didn’t want to move for fear of waking up other person! We stayed at many different houses in the Galena territory, would definitely stay again!

First, the house is beautiful. It is set back in a very picturesque setting with lots of trees around. The hot tub was beautiful and worked great. Everything was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were a party of eight having a family reunion and it honestly could not have been any better. We hope to be back again soon!

Beautiful property! Great location! Would definitely recommend. Loved the screened in room. Was a bit cool outside, a nice touch would be a gas fire feature or heaters. We still sat in the screened room, even in the cold

Über den Gastgeber

Bild für Gastgeberprofil
For more than three decades, I have devoted my career creating spaces that feel both beautifully designed and deeply lived in. My work has always been rooted in a simple belief; a home should welcome you, restore you, and reflect the life you want to live.
My second brand, Longwood Hideaway, is where my love of hospitality comes to life. It is a place shaped by warmth, comfort, and the quiet luxury of being cared for. There, I design not just rooms, but experiences - the feeling of arrival, the ease of styling, the memory of being welcomed

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Galena Territory unfolds like a quiet, breath deepening escape - a landscape of rolling hills, winding roads, and wide-open sky. Morning light settles softly over the valleys, touching the treetops with a warm, golden glow. Deer move gently through the meadows. Birds skim across still water. Everything feels slower here, calmer, beautifully unhurried.
The terrain rises and falls in graceful waves, dotted with pines, oaks, and hidden pockets of prairie. Lakes shimmer between the hills. Trails weave through the woods. At dusk, the sky turns a soft watercolor - lavender, peach, and deepening blue - before the stars arrive in a quiet, brilliant sweep.
There's a sense of welcome in the air, a feeling that you've stepped into a place meant for rest, reflection, and simple joy. Galena Territory is peaceful, timeless, and wonderfully grounding - the perfect backdrop for a retreat like Longwood Hideaway.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Every corner has purpose - reading nooks, layered lighting, cozy textures, and spaces designed for slow morning and quiet evenings.
It feels lived in, loved, and deeply welcoming.
