Loved it, very close to downtown. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay but the accommodation provided for a cozy and relaxing getaway.

Property was older , wasn’t to impressive from the front of the house.Inside felt brand new everything worked , instructions for Wifi were wrong in the room had to ask for help but got it going ! Garbage was piled up on the side of the lawn supposed to taken care of in the next little while with a new shed.Within walking distance of downtown and lovely park and river at the back of the house.

What a quaint, beautiful little home. We only spent one night. With all the added extras, could be easy to spend an extended time there. Highly recommend it

This was my second time staying with these host. No complaints at all. Very friendly, quick to answer any questions, check in was super easy. We didn't use the laundry facility this time around, however, love that both places I've stayed had easy access each. Would happily book again and again.

There was a binder on the coffee table that we found right away with recommendations for restaurants and local things to do. Vito's pizzeria was delicious btw!! It was clean and perfect for our needs. We have to go back for work again so I would love to stay there when we go back.

That was a perfect accommodation: spacious, clean and in best condition! Without any doubt: this place can be called Home far away from home! Only the outside area (around the house) could be a bit improved.

Bancroft Booking

This property was a very clean space. It was perfect for our couple getaway. We really appreciated the comfortable king size bed and over sized soaker tub. It had everything we needed. Lovely location. We wish we could have stayed longer.

My adult son and myself stayed for one night. When we got there it was cleaned and smelled fresh. We found it to be cozy and quiet. The beds were comfortable and comparable to hotel quality (I travel a lot). There were extra blankets that my son appreciated as he is always cold. Although we didn’t need them, there is a washer and dryer. It was really cold so we didn’t explore the area but the location of the property is nice. We would definetly come back.

Every thing we needed!

Very nice and had everything we needed for our stay.Loved the huge bath tube, washer & dryer, and location near the playground. Only little improvement would of been a mattress topper in the front tv bedroom. The bed was a stiff/hard.Totally going to come back.

Beautiful place with friendly owners who are great with communicating. Bancroft is a beautiful, quaint little town, the perfect getaway to truly unwind. The bed was big and very comfy, everything was very clean and well thought out. If I were to say anything negative it would be that the duct cleaning services could use a call, but it truly is the perfect place.

This is a well-situated apartment, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The road it's on is a little busy during the day, but didn't affect us in the back bedroom (king). The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the separate shower in the brightly lit bathroom. The apartment is clean and bright, and is reasonably appointed. The TV is a good size but you need a log-in to watch Netflix, the listing just means the TV has the App. Someone left their Apple TV log in active, so thanks for that.

A little misleading

Great house, clean and modern!! Very convenient for what we needed. However, when it states Netflix, Disney+ etc in the listing, i expect to find that and not use my apps to get any sort of TV programming

Decent overall

We were only made aware half an hour before arrival that there was also a rental in the other half of the house. There was only 1 thermostat for both units, so that created a dilemma. Overall, very clean , comfortable, and would likely rent again.

Bancroft In Town

Main level of a house. This appeared to be a brand new reno. The finishes were very nice, not your basic rental cast offs. The living room furniture was VERY comfortable. Washer/dryer. Soaker tub (room for two) and separate shower. Back deck overlooks the York River. Right in town. Perfect if you want to close to amenities. Owner was quick to respond to inquiries while we were there. The kitchen was well equipped. Great stay
