Beautiful beach house on canal exactly as described. Enjoyed fishing and crabbing on canal dock. Wood fire pit was a hit for smores. Highly recommend for families. Our hosts, David and Darla were easy to contact with any questions.

Fun in the Sun!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home on the Davis Canal in Oak Island. One of the highlights was the easy access to the canal via the private dock—perfect for fishing, launching kayaks, and enjoying the peaceful setting. Our whole crew had a blast paddling along the waterway and spotting a variety of local wildlife—it was such a unique and memorable way to experience the area.The house itself was spotless and very well-maintained, which made settling in so easy and comfortable. Everything was clean, thoughtfully arranged, and we had enough space to suit our needs. The outdoor fire pit provided ample smores and memories. A big shoutout to our host, David, who provided outstanding customer service throughout—from quick communication to helpful tips about the area. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for getaway on the canal!

Beautiful new house and dock on peaceful canal

We had a great time with our son, daughter-in-law and 5 year old granddaughter. We brought our own canoe and small dog, and took a paddle every morning on the canal, then drove to the beach for a few hours. The house is new and kitchen well-equipped. The floating dock is great, there is a large yard, and there is an equipment shed with bikes & helmets, toys and beach chairs. If you are bringing a dog you need to know that there is a 30 per day pet fee that is not evident on the VRBO listing; nor does the fee come in to the charges when you check the box that says you are bringing a pet. When the host called to ask me to pay, I made her aware of this issue, so I'm am sure she is getting this fixed. Also, the listing says "2.5 baths" but the half bath refers to the outdoor shower. The master bath off the king is very large with double sinks and a beautiful glassed in shower, and there is a smaller bath with tub/shower combo off the hall between the other two bedrooms.Overall we had a wonderful week and Darla was kind, very responsive, and went out of her way to help when needed.

Spring break

We had a wonderful time at casa sea esta! The location and accommodations were great. Property was clean and within walking distance to the beach. David was always available and responsive to our needs. We enjoyed the slow pace and beauty of OKI.

We loved the location, it is kind of tucked away off the main road & quiet. The canal was great for bird watching & sunset watching. We did use the firepit because the weather was cold!! The layout of the house was perfect

Amazing property and host!!!

David & Darla were great host. We had an issue with checking in due to a death in the family and they did everything to help us. The house is absolutely gorgeous. The bedrooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the showers are hot with great water pressure!! Being able to walk out to the dock and hangout by the water is nice. We sat on the swing and just enjoyed the morning sun. The wives loved the screened in porch; they enjoyed being able to just relax and read their books. The choice of restaurants around Oak Island are exceptional. We highly recommend The Break for breakfast. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Excellent vacation home

My family and I really had a great vacation. The house was clean and met our expectations. We are David and Darla Bermeo, a Mortgage broker and Microbiologist, respectively, residing here in North Carolina.
We have 4 beautiful children, all grown, except for our little Oscar (10yr). When we’re not running around with family chores, we love to go to Oak Island Beach (OKI). Here you find us fishing and kayaking on the canal or eating at one of the awesome restaurants in and around OKI. As a couple, David and I are quite the “Salsa-Duo” (David is native Colombian) who love to visit every Salsa club we can find!

Oak Island is a very unique and relaxing area. Less touristy and tranquil. There is a good mix of activities and restaurants to keep you busy on the Island. Why I chose this property and area is due to the view from the back porch. On the deck it just screams a "Nicholas Sparks" novel.
