The family home in Rivel has become a holiday home, a completely independent gîte, halfway between Toulouse and Albi, with a lovely swimming pool, ideal for a peaceful stay with family or friends. Located just outside the charming village of Giroussens, at the gateway to the Gaillac vineyards. Giroussens, a former 13th-century bastide town built around a castle overlooking the valley, prospered thanks to the potters who established themselves on the edge of the forest. They benefited from a privilege granted to the inhabitants: the right to take wood from the forest to fuel their kilns. Remarkable pieces from this local industry are now on display at the Giroussens Ceramics Center.
