Large Open Concept Home that can comfortably sleep 20 guests. All bedrooms are generously sized with walk-in closets and lots of space for you and your guests to relax & unwind. The house has so much character! Some of my favorites are the outdoor gazebo which is a great place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. From the centerpiece of the living room, the wall to wall brick fireplace, all the built-in's, and the woodwork throughout, the charm and comfort of this home is abundant. Upstairs in the spacious lodge room that comfortably sleeps 6, you’ll see where relaxation meets uniqueness. The Oasis bedroom is a stress free, luxurious space designed to have you feeling pampered & relaxed. Bring the kids & pile them in the large Nautical room which boasts 2 twin over full bunk beds, a queen air mattress, roll out twin bed, & 2 small fold out toddler cots! The large open concept living room has a pull out sleeper sofa that sleeps 2, a roll out single bed in the closet for 1, & a blow up queen air mattress. So much room!! The house is situated on a corner lot with a nice backyard & fire pit/grilling area where the whole family can gather and create memories. Jump on the 2 provided bicycles & enjoy a scenic stroll through the quaint Village of Bemus or opt for a short walk to the Lake for amazing sunsets. The downtown area is full of several dining/shopping options as well. Other destinations you won’t want to miss are the golf course one block away, the public park, the marina, & the downtown Ellicottville Brewing Company. The house is conveniently located just minutes from major highways for travel convenience. The historical village of Westfield, known for their vineyards and wine tours is just a short distance away. If you are in town for the Chautauqua Institution, you are only a 7 minute drive away. Enjoy a visit to Barcelona Beach on Lake Erie or jump on a charter for some of the best fishing around. Looking for entertainment? Head to Jamestown for the Lucille Ball Dezi Arnez Museum or the Comedy Club! Midway State Park is a great family friendly Park just 15 minutes away! Enjoy hiking and/or biking at one of the many parks & trails Chautauqua County has to offer or make memories on the ski slopes nearby! You are so close to so many local attractions..too many to list! Family friendly space

Wonderful stay! This property was perfectly suited for families traveling with kids. It was in a terrific location. The host clearly understands the needs of guests.

Great host, location and neighborhood

If VRBO doesn't send an access code by that morning, you should message Vanessa. I contacted with some questions before the trip and she was so helpful and friendly! It was a great place for my family's fall weekend 2 couples and 2 more adult sons. Plenty of mugs, glassware, plates and silverware, which is not always the case. A few things I will mention for planning sake: The coffeemaker is super slow and there isn't an icemaker in the refrigerator, just two ice trays. There is a toaster oven but no slotted toaster. There is a sign that says do not use above the fireplace. Otherwise, it was a great stay. The beds were nice. As for those questioning the number of people, it really depends on the dynamics. Couples or kids that can share a bed, sure. There is a list of beds, so take the guests and make your decisions. Lots of spaces for gathering, in the family room, kitchen and upstairs. The large family room has another traditional couch instead of the futon shown in the pictures, which was so comfortable. The TV is small for the room, but was fine for the one movie we watched. The patio table and 4 chairs in the back were nice, as was the table and two chairs in the adorable little gazebo at the front of the house. The overall footprint of the yard was like a city lot and the fire pit was great, but there wasn't a large space between houses, so we would have been worried about bothering the neighbors with an evening fire. The appliances were clean, and functional, even though dated. The upstairs bath with shower is small, but functional. It is clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Thanks for the great weekend!

Perfect little getaway!

Myself and my family members traveled to the area this past weekend for my daughters wedding. The house was beautiful, clean, well stocked and incredibly comfortable for all of us. Our host was so gracious and easy to communicate with if we had any questions. Bemus is a beautiful area to visit any time of year and you cant go wrong by choosing this great property to accommodate you during your stay. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. :)

Does Not Sleep 20/Bad Communication

Vanessa was really nice and the house is nice but there were some very frustrating things as a renter: 1. This place Does Not comfortably sleep 20 people. There are fold out futons that sleep two adults each (two of them) and then two queen beds and a set of bunks (twin on top, full on bottom) which would be better for kids and then a couple pull out couches and a fairly comfy cot. Great for a family with kids but not a large group of adults. 2. We arrived at 6 (two hours after check in is allowed) and had to wait outside for 1.5 hours because we couldn't get ahold of the host because she was on vacation with limited service. 3. The food there has price tags (including the coffee) which - you do you - but we were charged for three things that got thawed that we DID NOT USE. They were thawed when we arrived. Overall, if you are looking for a nice large living room within walking distance to Bemus Point for a fairly large family with kids it's great - keeping in mind communication might be tough. For a large group of adults maybe not the best choice unless it's 14 or under and there are people willing to share beds.

Great location

The house was very clean, had a perfect location within walking distance to everything in Bemus Point and met our needs! We would definitely stay here again. Only reason for 4 stars is that the house could use some updating. Definitely recommend!

Perfect little place to stay

The house was really well stocked and the host was very responsive. Easy walk to the lake and downtown. Great little place for a family gathering. The only surprise we had was that the first floor bedroom is the bunk bed room. We were able to make it work, but maybe worth a thought if you're traveling with elderly parents. Would definitely stay here again.

Other than confusion over how to enter the property (the host said VRBO was giving us the info and VRBO said the host was), it worked out by arrival time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed as far as towels, kitchen items, outlets, etc. It's an eclectic mix of rooms, but beds were comfortable. There were of 4 of us, so not an issue, but can't see it sleeping 20 unless 10-12 are kids and or adults that don't mind sleeping on couches or futons.

Virtual conference Girls Getaway

We wanted a place that would sleep 10-20 women as we spent a weekend with incredible training & fun. The place was perfect for comfortable sleep arrangement as well as comfortable accommodations as we watched on the big screen tv in a very large cozy living room that was extremely accommodating for a large group. We had a fantastic time. Plenty of room and cozy atmosphere inside and outside the house. Very clean. And Owner Vanessa was very accommodating as well. Thank you, For a perfect weekend!

Great house!

My family and a group of friends used this house as a place to crash after a day of skiing at peek n peak. Close to the resort and easy to get to. The bunk room was critical for the 4 kids. Everything was clean and organized. We really enjoyed ourselves and would come back here again!

Hi, welcome to our beautiful Bemus Point home. We are your hosts, Vanessa and Doug, and we are here to help you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay while you are visiting Chautauqua County. Doug is from Sodus Point New York and I am from Mayville New York. We are both working professionals and this is our side gig, we love Hosting rental vacation properties around beautiful Chautauqua lake. By night Doug is a nurse and by day, he is a property manager. I do property management full-time and we are both currently studying for our real estate license. We are very active in all things outdoors, including motorcycle riding, traveling, mountain biking, hiking and boating. We have two dogs, a German Shepherd husky mix named Axel and a mixed mutt named Rosie, whom we adore. Both are rescues. We also have seven children between the two of us. Six girls and one boy ranging in age from 28 down to 16. We want to be the best hosts that we can be and strive to make your stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

Bemus Point is a beautiful area that comes to life during the summer. It is a beautiful spot to vacation on the lake and growing up here, I’ve always enjoyed this area and all that the downtown area has to offer. One of my founders memories as a child was taking the ferry across the lake., it was a big deal as an 6 year old!
You get some of the most beautiful sunsets in this area & The people are very friendly. Although we enjoy the Chautauqua Institution and all that the vacationers bring to this area, Bemus Point is a wonderful vacation spot, but is less crowded and much more relaxed.

What makes this property unique is that we put everything into it. Each year, the revenue that we earn is put back into the home with upgrades such as new appliances, new furnishings, new windows, air conditioning, etc. The goal is to beautify the home and share it with vacationers who respect it as much as we do. One day we hope to retire here. We love that you are within walking distance to downtown but nestled in a very quiet, friendly neighborhood. We love the woodwork throughout and we’ve designed each bedroom with a theme. The oasis room is a relaxing , luxurious room where your worries can melt away as your head hits the pillow. The lodge reminds us of a camping trip with all the beautiful woodwork throughout the room as well as the outdoorsy decor. And of course, the nautical room, we’re so close to the beach, we had to have a nautical room. It’s a fun room for the kids to all be together and make memories that will last for a lifetime.
