Shaded by beautiful palm and moss-draped live oak trees, Happy Turtle Cottage is located in the desirable Summer Wind neighborhood of Seabrook Island. Summer Wind Cottages are conveniently located just one mile from the island's main Beach Club area, which features 2 outdoor pools, outdoor and indoor restaurants, and two championship golf courses. Pelican Beach, a short ½ mile walk or bike ride away, is a great place to watch the sun set or spot dolphins! North Beach and its wide-open sand beach is just a short bike ride away! Happy Turtle Cottage provides a truly peaceful retreat while being close to so many of Seabrook Island's great amenities.


The beautiful kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook your favorite meals and features stainless-steel appliances, custom cabinetry, a full-size pantry, quartzite countertops and a counter seating area. The table in the open vaulted-ceiling dining area comfortably seats 7. The laundry room is centrally located for the convenience of all guests.


The living area with vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and 65-inch 4KTV (streaming Hulu Live, Disney+, and ESPN+), is the perfect spot to gather. Relax with the family, enjoy an evening movie or catch up with your favorite sports team. As an added bonus, there is a large screened-in porch off of the living area, complete with lounge seating, an additional large dining area, and a wall-mounted HDTV. This is the perfect place to enjoy the cool island breezes! The rear deck has Polywood seating, a Weber grill and lovely views of the iconic moss-draped live oak trees.


There are three bedrooms in this cottage. The first is the owner's bedroom with a king bed, walk-in closet, wall-mounted HDTV, en-suite bath and access to the screened-in porch. The owner's bath has a custom tiled walk-in shower and double vanity. The two guest bedrooms are on the opposite side of the cottage, providing privacy for guests. The guest bedrooms share the hall bath, which has a tub/shower combo with deep soaker tub and custom tile surround. The rear guest bedroom has a queen bed, wall mounted HDTV, and access to the rear deck. The front guest bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed and HDTV.


Under the cottage you will find a screened-in rec room complete with ping pong table, comfortable seating and a wall mounted HDTV. A fabulous outdoor space to have fun with the whole family! There is also a covered carport with room for 2 vehicles, and driveway space for one additional vehicle*.


Allowable Dog criteria: up to 2 dogs, under 25 pounds each, and hypo-allergenic breeds! Additional pet fees do apply per day/pet

Amenity access, allowing you access to the Seabrook Island Club amenities, is INCLUDED at no additional cost in this rental
Seabrook Island is a cashless island. Your credit card will be linked to an in-app digital QR code for all purchases. Your QR code also acts as your "key" to enter all Club and Lake House facilities.
What's Free: Use of the Beach Club oceanfront pools and the Lake House outdoor pool.
What Costs Extra: Golf, tennis, pickleball, equestrian activities, the Lake House fitness center/indoor pool, and all food or drinks at Seabrook Island Club bars & restaurants

*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) charges for all gate passes.

Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.
MAXIMUM number of passenger vehicles which may be parked during the overnight hours of 11 pm-7am, which require a gate pass: 3
The first gate pass is included in your stay. You must call our office if you require more than one gate pass
There is a Google security camera at the bottom of the back door steps of this villa.

LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) RENTALS PERMITTED at this property. An LSV requires the use of one of the gate passes included in the maximum number of vehicles passes.
Requirements for LSVs
Must be registered and insured, have a 17-digit VIN and display an LSV license plate, display a valid SIPOA entry pass issued specifically to that vehicle. Drivers must have a valid driver's license. No off-road tires allowed
Usage Restrictions:
For street use only. No use on bicycle paths, walking paths, golf course cart paths, boardwalks, or beaches. Follow SIPOA vehicle and parking rules.
Safety Requirements: SC seat belt laws apply to all occupants. Child seats are a must. SIPOA officers and CCSO will stop vehicles with unsecured children

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you receive your funds back, minus $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, you lose your funds. If able to re-book it, you will receive what we rent it for, minus the $250. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

For monthly winter rentals the policy is as follows: For cancellation made up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee. For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest under the terms of the Rental Agreement.

In the event that the Mayor of Seabrook Island issues a mandatory evacuation, a prorated refund will be provided for the nights affected. Please note that this policy applies only to official evacuation orders and does not cover other weather-related travel disruptions. To protect your trip against unforeseen weather events, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance
