**Nearby Activities **
*The Las Vegas Strip (15-30 minutes). The Strip is world-famous and needs no introduction! Walk it at night, stroll past the Bellagio fountains, Sphere or casino light displays, or take in any of the world-renowned shows (Penn & Teller and Cirque du Soleil Ka are favorites).
*Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (25 minutes). Iconic desert/mountain area, effectively a national park just outside of Vegas, with amazing vistas and opportunities for hiking, climbing and mountain biking.
*Hoover Dam (20 minutes). A marvel of engineering on Lake Mead that powers much of Las Vegas to this day, absolutely worth the tour.
*Lake Mead (20 minutes). Go boating, fishing or jet ski on the Colorado river minutes from our house.
*Goldstrike Hot Springs (20 minutes). A desert hot springs hike right outside of Vegas. Bring your bathing suit and a good pair of hiking shoes!
*Willow Beach and Emerald Cove (35 minutes). Further south on the Colorado, you can canoe or paddleboard to a hidden Emerald Cove and enjoy the cool Colorado River even when outside temperatures are over 100. Be sure to reserve in advance and arrive early if renting equipment.
*Mount Charleston (45 minutes). When it's hot outside, you can still retreat to Mount Charleston for high-elevation hikes. Mary Jane Falls is one of our favorites.
*Valley of Fire State Park (40 minutes). Incredible red rock sandstone formations, unique hiking in slot canyons just north of Las Vegas. Worth the detour anytime of the year except summer when it is too hot.

Note: our home is a legal 4 bedroom, with one bedroom offering a barn door allowing it to be privately divided in two. It is permitted by Henderson City for up to 10 adults. We will under some circumstances allow more if occupants are young children. If you are unsure, please inquire.

House rules and disclaimers:

LIABILITY WAIVER:
By booking the home, guests agree to waive all liability for injury related to use of equipment (swim spa, grill, gas appliances), and assume all risk for use of facilities. If this is not agreeable, the booking is void, guest must cancel immediately and notify the host.

THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. We want you to enjoy yourselves, but if you want to party, leave it on the Strip. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Henderson will follow you back home. Our house rules conform to Henderson City ordinances. Specifically,
- No outdoor music unless brief and quiet. No excess noise either inside or outside over 70 Db outside of quiet hours, or 60 Db during quiet hours (10pm-10am weekends, 10pm-7am weekdays). No noise in the back yard, no use of pool or spa outside quiet hours. Take it inside after 10pm.
- No more than 10 overnight guests and 14 daytime guests, and no additional visitors unless expressly given permission by hosts.
- No smoking or vaping indoors, no marijuana or drugs. - No alcohol in the pool and spa. All use of pool, spa, gym or any other home amenity is at guests’ own risk.
- No overnight parking off premises. Please use the driveway and garage space if needed.

Per Henderson City requirements, guests will be monitored for noise and parking violations.

THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. We like our neighbors very much and expect you to act respectfully. Don't do anything here you wouldn't do in your own neighborhood. Thank you!

PEST DISCLAIMER:
This is a large home next to the desert. There will occasionally be a few rough edges, bugs, and wildlife. We have regular pest service and aim to provide every modern convenience possible, but pests can and will make their way into the house and on the grounds. Hosts cannot guarantee a 100% pest-free experience at all times. Any refunds will be at our and the platform's discretion. Please be reasonable and do not judge us too harshly.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
- $15 per night per overnight guest above the first 4 persons (plus taxes/fees, automatically charged by the platform based on group size)
- $100 per 5 degrees to heat the pool *beyond* 85 degrees. Heating the spa is free of charge.
- $25 per hour early before check-in or late after check-out, when possible and approved by hosts.
- $50 for every 15 minutes late after checkout time, if permission is *not* given beforehand by hosts.
-$200/hr for additional cleaning required, in case of messes that require cleaning beyond our regular cleaning window and impede incoming guests.
