Historic Sea Capt Home Overlooking Twilight Lake: Pool, Walk To Beach & Village

Enjoy sunsets on Twilight Lake in this quintessential Bay Head home. Built by a sea captain at the turn of the last century, the Historic 'LaBonte' House has been lovingly restored and renovated with attention to every detail. It has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths with a pool and yard, wood floors throughout, central a/c, a "great" room with cathedral ceilings, kitchen/dining room, library/TV room, sunroom and laundry room. There is a back deck and outdoor grill and a garden perfect for parties. There is one covered parking space as well as a driveway for additional parking.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. The upstairs has a Master bedroom overlooking the pool with a king bed and en-suite bath with a double shower and walk in closet. The other two bedrooms share a full bathroom with tub and shower: one bedroom is bunk room, and another bedroom has twin beds. Both of these bedrooms overlook Twilight Lake.

Downstairs there is one bedroom with a queen bed with its own full bath (double shower) and another bedroom with twin beds (full bath with single shower) which overlooks Twilight Lake. The house has high ceilings, wonderful light, marble counters, Moroccan tile and wood floors throughout.

We do not recommend this house for young children or those who are physically challenged by stairs because, due to the historic nature of the house, the balcony hallway and staircase are somewhat limiting (see photos) and may be dangerous for active or young children. The pool also presents danger for children who cannot swim; it is fenced from the outside, but is accessible from the house.

The location is one of the best in Bay Head - directly overlooking tranquil Twilight Lake with only 2 blocks to a guarded beach or to the lovely Bay Head village for shopping and of course mornings at Mueller’s Bakery.

The house is fully furnished and comes with 3 TVs with cable, Wi-Fi, all linens etc, 8 beach badges, and a BBQ. Sleeps 10.

Security deposit $10k, contract with liability for pool and conditions must be signed. Renter to pay for any and all fees or commissions charged by VRBO.
