Welcome to this beautiful duplex apartment, ideally located on the first floor of a secure residence. This bright apartment features a cosy living room with sofa, TV and dining table for 4. The fully-equipped, self-contained kitchen features a fridge, microwave, induction hob, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, toaster and all you need to cook and share your meals around the table.

The bathroom includes a shower, vanity unit and towel rail. The WC is separate, as is the laundry area with a washing machine, for a comfortable stay. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, each with a double bed, including one on the mezzanine.

This apartment is ideal for a stay with family or friends, with all the charm of Rouen's historic center on your doorstep.

No private parking is available with the accommodation. However, you will be able to park your vehicle in the streets surrounding the accommodation according to the rates in force in the city. ## Neighborhood

Rouen's Cathedral district is one of the city's most emblematic and historic neighborhoods. Dominated by the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral, this neighborhood is an architectural and cultural treasure trove, where every street tells a part of Rouen's history.

The nerve center of the district, the Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral is famous for its impressive façade, made even more famous by Claude Monet's series of paintings. It also houses the tomb of Richard the Lionheart.

The streets around the cathedral are cobbled and lined with half-timbered houses, typical of Norman architecture. Here you'll find numerous antique stores, craft boutiques and charming cafés.

Not far from the cathedral, Le Gros-Horloge is one of the symbols of Rouen. This astronomical clock, mounted on an arch, dates from the 14th century and is a living testimony to the city's history.

The Cathedral district is lively all year round, but retains a quiet charm thanks to its narrow streets and pleasant squares. The atmosphere here is steeped in history, and every street corner seems to tell a legend from Rouen's past.

Residents enjoy privileged access to a variety of restaurants, stores and services, while living in the heart of an exceptional architectural heritage. What's more, numerous cultural events, such as markets, concerts and exhibitions, regularly enliven life in the district.

## Transit

The apartment is located opposite the Halle aux Toiles parking lot in Rouen, in the heart of the city center, close to public transport.

1. Bus
Rouen has a bus network managed by Astuce (the public transport network of Métropole Rouen Normandie). Several lines pass close to the Halle aux Toiles, notably around nearby stations such as those on rue de la République. Main lines: 8, 11, F1, F2 (frequent lines).

2. Metro
The Rouen metro is also within easy reach:
Théâtre des Arts station: about 5 minutes' walk. This station serves the two metro lines (T1 and T2) that cross Rouen from north to south.

3. TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais)
The TEOR network is a kind of "exclusive right-of-way bus", operating like a tramway on certain parts of the city. TEOR lines also pass close to the Halle aux Toiles.
TEOR lines T1, T2, T3: Théâtre des Arts station is 5 minutes away, and the TEOR line provides quick access to various districts in and around Rouen.

4. Bicycles
Rouen has a self-service bicycle system called Cy'clic. There are several Cy'clic stations near the Halle aux Toiles parking lot.

5. Car (VTC and cabs)
Taxi and VTC (Uber, etc.) services are available in the city. There are often cab stands around the Place du Vieux Marché and the city center.

6. Walking
As the Halle aux Toiles parking lot is located in the heart of the historic city center, many of Rouen's landmarks are within walking distance: the Place du Vieux Marché, the rue du Gros-Horloge, Notre-Dame de Rouen Cathedral, and so on.

These different options allow you to get around quickly and easily from your accommodation.

Arrivals are via the ArchiDuchesse keymaster from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and departures by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

Any mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel freshening, replenishment of essentials, or delivery can be scheduled upon request for an additional fee. Taking advantage of a rental also means respecting a few rules to ensure everything runs smoothly and avoid any surprises with the deposit! Remember to look after the property as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture and leave it clean when you leave. Observe all rules and regulations concerning opening hours and use of equipment, and respect the peace and quiet of your neighbors. And if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. Don't forget that parties are strictly forbidden (250€ deducted from the deposit), that the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (50€ deducted from the deposit), that pets are forbidden (50€ deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us, and that any loss, theft or damage will be invoiced at the actual replacement value.
