Comfy private apartment in a great location

I'm a former junior high school teacher. I relocated to Atlanta over 20 years ago. I started building furniture about 15 years ago and have enjoyed doing this ever since. My projects have ranged from tables and sofas to whole house remodels including bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms, all outfitted with custom cabinets that I built!! I remodeled the apartment listed here a few years back. My latest projects include a townhouse remodel and custom built banquette seating. I worked at a Montessori school up until 2020. I love to travel (the "beach" is always a great answer), listen to audio books, eat great food, and spend time with family. I love this location because it's so close to so many things including shopping, supermarkets, fitness centers, and great restaurants. I hate traffic and Atlanta has plenty of it. On a nice day, I enjoy walking about 1/2 to one of the shopping centers for lunch. I am new to this platform but have been hosting short term renters since 2017. I always look forward to providing every guest with great service.

Travelers can contact me during their stay if they have any issues. Other than that, I believe in giving you your privacy. You may see us in the backyard gardening, feeding the chickens, or just cooking out.

This comfy private apartment is a great place to get away while providing all the amenities of home. Centrally located we are located about 2 miles from the Centers for Disease Control, Emory, 10 min drive from Atlantic Station, midtown, and 15 to 20 min from downtown. The apartment is a simple, clean, comfortable, recently updated space, located on the first floor of a private house with it's own private entrance. It features a kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and a bar top to eat, work, or just have a conversation. The living area has a comfortable sofa with pull out bed and smart TV. The one bedroom features a comfortable bed, dresser, smart TV, chair and has a walk in closet. The bathroom also has a washer/dryer. Guests will receive a door code prior to check in so you do not need to meet anyone for a key and can check in at anytime after 4 pm on the day of your reservation.

The listing is located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood with only 2 streets. There is very little traffic since both streets are a dead end. The neighborhood is very walkable, as long as you don't mind a hill or two. There is a great park about a 20 min walk away with playground, tennis courts, picnic areas, and great walking trails. There is a target less than a 10 min walk, 3 major supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, health food store, gas station, and LA fitness all within a 10 min walk.

There is a free parking on the street just outside of the apartment entrance. There is a bus at the end of the street. The train station is located 3.8 miles away. It's very easy to Uber/Lyft around town as well. There is a lot within a 10 min walk including Target, three supermarkets (Kroger, Publix, Lidl), several restaurants, LA Fitness, banks, Starbucks, CVS, salons, etc. There are two movie theaters with a 5 to 10 min drive and there are three malls within a 5 to 15 min drive.

Inside of the apartment you'll be greeted with water and snacks after your long journey. There is also a coffee bar including coffee, tea, creamers, sugar and sugar substitutes, granola bars, hot chocolate, and of course, popcorn. We often leave fresh eggs laid by our backyard chickens in the refrigerator for our guests to enjoy. The bathroom also has towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, q-tips, cotton balls, face pads, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, shower cap, lotion, toilet paper, washing pods, and dryer sheets, just in case you forgot anything at home.
