Very convenient location for surfers, fantastic communication from the host, well appointed, comfy beds and linens. If you're a Ritz Carleton type, this is not your spot, but it was clean, simple, comfortable, and a perfect home base for a surf and exploring trip, cooking a few meals, taking a few naps, and cooling off in the pool. Surfers and skaters will appreciate the books and photos.

We had a wonderful time during our trip. The condo is comfortable and spacious with great extras (full kitchen, nice towels and linens, washer dryer, etc). My kids loved the pool. The complex itself was quiet, clean, and safe.

The host was great, the amenities were very good (but no dishwasher) and the place was clean. A few things that could be told to others is the traffic is VERY noisy not just a little noisy. You sit at the pool and on your deck with it being that noisy all day and night. There are many stairs which you were not told about so if you cannot do stairs this is not for you. The wifi goes on and off all the time (very spotty). The pool is not heated so is quite cold and if they did not bring us chairs to sit on outside (after I asked about it) there are none, nor is there a table with shade for anyone that does not want sun all day. It was okay but not a match for what we were looking for.

Our listing location is accurate on the map, and we are approximately a five-minute drive from the main hotel area. While we cannot control temporary increases in traffic due to nearby construction, we understand that noise sensitivity varies from guest to guest and appreciate you pointing out your experience. Regarding the stairs, they are mentioned multiple times in the listing description specifically to help guests determine if the property will be a good fit, especially for anyone with mobility concerns. We always encourage guests to review those details carefully, and we’re happy to answer questions prior to booking like we did for you in August. During your stay, there was a brief internet interruption due to area construction. The pool is not advertised as heated, but we understand that temperature preference can vary. For outdoor seating, we were glad to promptly bring additional chairs when some pool furniture was temporarily being used by neighbors. There is also a beach umbrella available in the closet for guest use to provide shade on the deck or at the pool. As hosts, we strive to respond quickly and address concerns right away, and when it became clear the property wasn’t the right match for your expectations, we offered a partial refund so you could secure alternate accommodations. Our goal is always for our guests to feel comfortable and well cared for. We truly wish you the best in your future travels and thank you again for staying with us.

We enjoyed the views for sure. The unit is set up nicely, very comfortable and homey. Once we figured out the taxi service things got easier to get around. The only thing to consider is the traffic noise, can be loud at times.

Great stay!

Property is exactly as advertised. Clean and tidy. Good communication with owner. Fast wifi. Location is close to the beach. Highway is a bit loud but bedrooms are at the back. AirConditioning is strong and works well.

Great value in San Jose

This condo was well appointed and the Property Manager was super responsive and great to work with. The condo is a bit dated but the patio overlooking the beach was fantastic. We ate most of our time outside eating and enjoying the view. The condo had great air conditioning in all rooms. As previous reviews indicate, it can be a bit noisy with the traffic but with a/c didn’t bother us.

Property was excellent. Great views, close to beach and condo was excellent. Loved sitting on the deck or swimming in the pool. Only down side was the highway below. Quite loud, but we got used to it. The positives outweighed the noise.

Room with a view!

First of all, thanks to a wonderful host. Nicole was very attentive and responsive. Entry instructions to the property were very clear.The view from the balcony was exceptional and we spent most mornings enjoying coffee and watching the whales.The unit was spacious and well laid out with lots of windows. Air conditioner was rarely required due to the ocean breezes. Kitchen was one of the best equipped of any vacation rental we've stayed in. We typically cook most of our meals in house, so this worked well for us. The full size washer and dryer were also a very big plus. The unit was well stocked with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, beach towels, towels and linens etc.We would definitely stay here again. However for some the stairs to unit, walking distance to restaurants, and nearby highway could be a concern. They were not issues for us.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay. The Condo was well stocked with typical items for cooking, dishes and cookware, beach, cleaning and household paper towels and toilet paper. The bedrooms were large enough and beds comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, as did the washer and dryer. One bathroom had a very tiny shower and it was difficult to keep the water from spraying outside of the shower and somewhat difficult to get warm shower water but we figured it out. The owner was responsive and helpful. The view was nice. The gate door to the complex was difficult to find in the dark, but we found it. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the unit. We were always able to park in the designated parking area. There was a fair amount of street noise but it didn't disturb our sleep. All that said, it was a good spot for everything we wanted to do at the condo or nearby, and we were comfortable. We'd consider staying there again as it was a good price for all the amenities and the quality.
