Located just 4 houses from the beach! This charming separate Rear East Cottage is 2 bedroom 1 bath just went through a “down to the studs” remodel in 2023. All new appliances, furniture, flooring, in unit washer and dryer and central A/C. Located conveniently on 11th Ave, with 1 dedicated parking spot, in family friendly Belmar, this unit welcomes you and your family or friends to ocean living.

No need for planning a full day at the beach, come and go as you please with the 4 beach badges, 4 backpack beach chairs, 4 beach towels and 2 umbrellas provided. Don't worry about salt or sand, rinse off in the outside shower, then come in and put your feet up to watch the surf or surf the web. Please be aware that we rent to families or groups age 25 or older only.

You will never want to leave front porch. But if you need to cool down, central air will keep the inside cool. And there is a washer and dryer in your unit for your convenience. This home may also be your potential cozy winter getaway, the ocean is beautiful year round!. Kid friendly. Please no pets or smoking.

Great Beach Spot

Had a great stay. Place was what we expected simple and close to the beach. Tina was excellent and accommodated us well. Would definitely rent again.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your kind review and suggestions. It is always good to have repeat renters. We check the mattresses every spring and replace them when we notice a problem but it sounds as if they may have taken some heavy use this summer so we will check them again at our next change over. Just so you know, we purchase our mattresses from Costco so they are usually excellent quality. As for the grill, although there are 4 units on the property, only 2 units share the grill so we have rarely had conflicts. I am very glad to hear that you didn't as well. This property is located less than a 2 minute walk to the beach which made it very convenient. The house is clean and we had a great time. Would highly recommend!

Perfect location

This was a great spot for our kick off the summer vacation. The house is great. Very clean, up to date, and with all the amenities. The distance from the beach was a true dream. Definitely looking to come back another time!

Location was ideal. Size was perfect. Having a parking space was a real added bonus. Bathroom could have been a little better - toilet very difficult to flush. Overall very happy with the property.

The location was ideal, parking and necessities were provided. The owner was cooperative. the only problem was the futon when my daughter stayed over with my son and I, we had to buy sheets and it was uncomfortable for a couple of days and she complained the air conditioner was noisy.

Thank you for your review. I have to agree that futons are not particularly comfortable. That is why the advertised occupancy is 4 (2 queen beds) and not more. A foam topper can help but it is never as good as a bed. I also apologize for having you bring your own sheets. In the future, if the futon will be used, let us know ahead of time and we will make sure sheets are available.

We had a great time as a family at this beach house! 4 houses from the beach was key as we could come back easily when we wanted. Main street was walkable as well but about 15/20 min by foot. Overall we had a very nice time

Quick weekend away at the beach!

We wanted a beach stay within walking distance to the beach, and this property checks all the boxes. It’s been recently rehabbed, and beautifully done. Everything has been planned for. They even left beach chairs if you don’t have any. One parking spot off the street is provided, and it’s so close to food and and of course the beach! Perfect weekend away, or longer stay if you wish.

Great Location Beautiful Property

Belmar Rear East Cottage is beautiful. When I booked pictures were not posted of the recent remodel. It is absolutely gorgeous. Zero complaints regarding the unit. Everything is brand new, with a very modern design. Linens are really nice, but the towels could be thicker. The kitchen is stocked really well. Soap, hand soap, Kleenex, 1 or 2, of everything is provided. My only complaint in that area is using Tide on the sheets and towels. As someone with severe allergies. I bring my own laundry detergent and wash all the towels and linens in a FREE & CLEAR brand. When I washed just 2 sets of towels, no detergent, to get the Tide out, the entire rubber gasket of the front loader was full of soap. I think the cleaners may be putting in a lot of detergent to make sure everything is really clean. However, it gave me hives (literally). The only snag we hit was we didn’t receive the welcome letter. I had to contact the property manager a couple hours before check-in, to find out where to park and get key information. I don’t know if there is an actual “Welcome letter”. We had no information on how to use fans, if it was OK to use the BBQ, etc. We did find beach chairs, and an umbrella, next to the W/D, and we found the beach badges on the table in an ceramic dish, after a little hunting. A few things that are not the owners fault, but could be addressed with a list of check-in / check-out procedures: we had a full dishwasher we had to unload, because the previous tenant probably didn’t wash them. Just an FYI for the owner: The lint filter on the dryer was really thick with lint (something the cleaning crew should clean out, so you don’t end up burning up your brand new dryer). All in all. It is a gorgeous unit, an incredible location and I would rent it again in a heartbeat.

Mid-September Stay

There were some older items such as window shades and noisy window air conditioners. Happy to have the additional floor fan. Mostly up to date flooring, kitchen items, wi-fi and large screen TV. Clean and neat. Extra beach chairs. Ideal location but some restaurants had closed for the season. I did have easy access to 24hr. 7-11 and ice cream shop! Property manager promptly answered a question.. The beaches and boardwalks were populated but not crowded.

We love this cottage

We stayed here three years ago. This cottage is perfect for us! It’s close to the beach which is great for me who suffers from some health issues. It’s a very cozy cottage and we look forward to renting it again.

Lovely cottage location

Such a lovely cottage location and fun beach stay. All you and famiy need for a great getaway. We enjoyed so much from the cute cottage, relaxing and eating on the deck, grilling, steps to beach boardwalk and town / neighboring beaches/towns.

No towels or linens.

Came to the house and the property manager asked if we got the linen package because I complained there was no towels or sheets. We all know that was a bunch of crap because he forgot to replenish. Coffee maker but no pot. No garbage bags except one. Great location but they really should not be in the rental business because they did not take the time out to prepare the house for guests.

Dear Carinda, I apologize for the issues had upon checking in. We have recently switched to using a property manager after 18 years of renting the property ourselves and you were the first short term tenant that he has handled. Obviously, we have some processes to improve. I will work on communication so that no one has to deal with these type of issues in the future.
