Riverbend Retreat. Riverfront home on the Bear River

Come and get away from it all at our riverfront home, nestled in the woods along a gorgeous stretch of the Bear River with a swimming hole just below the house.
Relax on the deck and listen to the river and enjoy the peaceful natural setting. Curl up in front of the fire or take a walk through the woods. The house is just 10 minutes from town, but you will feel like you have the view from the deck all to yourself, surrounded by tree covered hills, granite outcroppings, and bright stars on clear nights.
If you want to explore the area, Riverbend Retreat is within 20 minutes of the historic gold rush towns of Old Auburn, Grass Valley, and Nevada City, with restaurants, shopping, and nearby wineries. Hiking and scenery abound in the Sierra foothills and in the winter months its only one hour up to the ski resorts of Tahoe.

This home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and can comfortably sleep 6 adults. The master bedroom has a King bed, en suite bathroom, and its own deck access overlooking the river. The second bedroom has a King bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds with one trundle bed underneath. The house is one level with no interior stairs, but there are stairs leading to the lower deck and river access.
Full kitchen that has just been completely remodeled, outdoor grill, and laundry room. TV with DVD player and large DVD collection as well as games and puzzles for your use. Parking for up to three cars in the driveway with an EV charger available in the garage. Starlink Satellite Wi-Fi is available, cell signal varies by carrier.
Dogs are welcome but should be leashed outside for their own safety.
We do not allow children under 8 years old due to the river access, wildlife, and high deck.
For protection of our guests and property, there are two security cameras with a view of the driveway entrance area.
