Hello! And thanks so much for your interest in our Sas-sea at sea. Also, please make sure that you've read the description thoroughly! we HAVEN'T changed our prices in 5 yrs, if this isn't 100 percent appreciated, please stop your inquiry. BOAT STAYS ANCHORED. she's located approximately 3/4 MI from The Base Marina in a beautiful, very private and Serene cove! upon your arrival, I will run you out to the boat and go over everything with you. Our Sas-Sea at sea is an older boat, but she has all the systems/functions that you'll need to have a great stay! We will mention, that if your picky, high maintenance, or needy, that this may not be the adventure for you, but that there should likely be a Hilton or Marriott down the road for three times the price, that will have a mint on your pillow for you :-). Furthermore, this adventure has proven to be most satisfying for kids 60 and under :-) Often times you will have Manatee and dolphin come to say hi!! She has an abundantly stocked galley, with various seasonings, Olive oil, coffee, filters, etc.. the generator on the boat will supply ample power for whatever you required to cook, ac, coffee, toaster oven. It's design however, is not to run 24 hours a day. We supply you with 8 hours/ day, of run time on the generator, anything in excess of that we leave up to you to cover expenses for. That, helps us keep our costs down, translating into a much cheaper stay for you!!! The Captain's quarters, in front of the boat, offer a comfortable queen size bed for your hrs of very regenerating shut eye :-) The bathroom has a camper type porta- potty, and shower for rinsing off ( not heated), The boat has a nice stainless steel grill on the back, for you to enjoy cooking your favorites on) included with the boat, comes a double kayak, or for a little extra, let us know, and we can reserve a dinghy with motor for you! We had a great stay in a quiet and serene location. Mark had great communication as soon as we booked and it continued throughout the stay. It’s a unique experience and exploring the mangroves was our favorite!

mark was an excellent host , he made sure we were safe , happy , and had everything we needed for our boat . The boat itself is cozy and perfect for some privacy after a busy day out and about , or stay on boat and grill , and get some sun. :)Excellent communication with our host, Mark !! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend over the usual hotel/ motel stays . A fun adventure and we will go back !

We had an amazing holiday vacation over Thanksgiving in the Keys. The Sas-Sea was perfect for our trip, and Mark is an amazing host. He made sure we had everything we needed and stayed in constant contact throughout our trip. Everything was as listed, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and host. We will definitely be back again for another houseboat adventure!

Great adventure

Mark was a great host. My son and I loved staying in the peaceful cove. Having the dingy was great allowing us to explore small beaches and the mangrove rivers. Weather was perfect for us too. Couldn't have been more special.

Great escape

We had a wonderful stay, it was short but it was wonderful. The boat was everything you need to get away from the busy world we all live in. We had another guy from marks boats stop over and show us a fishing spot. And it’s like nothing you have ever seen before. Overall it’s a great experience that we will definitely want to do again.

When we arrived we were told we would not be receiving the boat we rented. (classic bait and switch) Instead we were shown to a half sunken hual. There were numerous safety hazzards and sharp edges(sarah gouged her leg on 1 such object).the electricity was questionable at best (none of the outlets worked there was a single cord run from a small generator (which ran out of gas after 20min) through a hatch from the topside down into the galley. The restroom was incredibly disgusting (cartridge toliet overhalf full from the prior renter and the smell permeated through out the entire vessel)The extra services discussed on the phone that he claimed to provide (snorkeling,fishing, sunset boat ride etc.) did not exist. The18ft digny we rented ahead of time specifically to fish and explore the bay and mangoves had issues with the 4hp outboard (prop would immediately cavitate whenever given any throttle so it would only operate at an idle)making it nearly impossible to manage even the short distance from the dock to the boat. The nighttime temps dropped into the low 40's and when we expressed concern for the lack of any kind of heat source or extra blankets we were laughed off and told "you'll be okay". That this is glamping I get no problem there. We're avid outdoors people we hunt,fish,camp regularly. Often time backpacking into remote areas. Expectations were that of a 30yr old camper on the water those were not met in anyway. We left at 3am on the 2nd night of a weeklong stay

Renters beware!!! From the very start, I was leery about these people, very poor manners dirty appearance, impolite, and just a very low frequency type people. We don't like to talk negative about people, and we usually only praise people's positives. But in this case of sabotage, through their review, we are forced to leave the truth of the situation. They didn't communicate well, they were given an upgraded boat. I don't understand the half sunken statement, this, this is simply not true! He repeatedly looked at me very hollow eyed, with a very clouded mind, when I explained the most basic of systems, it was clear to see that he just simply wasn't understanding things. If you read our many other reviews you will not find any people's negative experiences as these people claimed to have had. The entire time of their stay I always ask all my guests if they need anything or having any difficulties. Never once was anything mentioned., they left the dinghy in complete disarray, littered with weeds and their own personal garbage. Please take a minute to read our many other reviews and you will be able to formulate a honest perception of our rental boat! And again I would not recommend these people to anyone that is a host, or ever rent to them again!!! God bless, and we will see you soon :-)

Overnight stay on our way down the Keys…

The boat was exactly what we wanted where we wanted it…nice secluded cove with only a few other boats around. The weather was as perfect as the sunset over the mangroves. Mark was the perfect host, giving us a quick tutorial on running the dinghy and more than enough water and ice for the night. It was one of my wife’s favorite nights that week! Thank for everything Mark - we will be sure to come back if the opportunity arises :)

Peaceful and Perfect

This was the perfect vacation for us! We stayed there 3 nights. So peaceful out on the water in Mark's boat! It has everything you need and Mark is the best host! He checks on you to see if you have everything you need. We enjoyed fishing and swimming right off the boat and exploring the Everglades at a nearby park. We saw manatees and dolphins near the boat. If you're someone who loves to experience God's beautiful creation first hand, this is the trip for you! I highly recommend Mark's boat!

Simon and his friend were unfortunately not equipped / prepared for this adventure - they're communication was poor, and it was more hassle to try and keep up with them than it was worth to achieve a positive stay:(unfortunately this has reflected in a poor review for us. It's very simple folks, if you don't read the description, or communicate with us, it is possible that you're not going to have the best stay!! It was exactly as described. Relaxing time on a boat I’d recommend renting the dinghy as well. Mark, the host, was responsive and did a great job with communication.

Our stay on the ocean

We thought it was wonderful and unique. If you aren’t ok with bare bones accommodation and “roughing it,” this isn’t for you. If you are up for something unique, sleeping on the ocean, possibly seeing dolphins, and catching some rays, this would be for you. We aren’t fishermen but this would be heaven if you are a fisherman!

The boat was comfy and located in a peaceful cove. If your adventurous, and, like the description states, not expecting the Hilton, you'll love it. Oh, and if your exceptionally sensitive to mosquitoes, a good number of them found us. There's bug spray on the boat, but may want to bring some of your own too. Our host Mark was very responsive, and helped to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises!

On of my best trips to the Florida Keys

This is my second trip to Marcs boats and jist like the first trip Marc was an excellent host he is always attentive to our needs, responds quickly, anythin I needed was already there , and even if you might forget the small thing , you know ?this that and the other , its was there already , the air conditioning was cold through out the boat cabin.The veiws from the boat deck from sun up to sun down are amazing, and the quiet and seclusion is second to none , and I will be back for another stay soon

My wife and I had an absolute pleasure staying on Marks boat! She’s an older, but well kept boat. The sunsets and sunrises, with our coffee, were breathtaking! The cove where the boat is moored, is absolute heaven :-) in the evening, we often had dolphin, and Manatee locals visit us,Almost in a welcoming way! We will definitely be back again! Mark was an excellent host The boat is older but so comfortable. I enjoyed the peace and quiet while watching for manatees and even dolphins if your lucky to see one . A beautiful outdoors adventure

It was our first time in Key Largo and it was an absolute beautiful time on Manatee Mark's boat for a three day stay. Definitely more for the outdoorsy type with kayaking, fishing, and the water being right outside your bedroom. Mark checked on us through out our stay to make sure we were okay with the boat and happy about our stay as well as wonderfull communication up until the moment we checked in. We will say this space is definitely for people that love the outdoors, open space, and the water.

Hey there folks, I'm originally from Green Bay Wisconsin. So, go Packers! I moved to Key Largo about 12 years ago as a union electrician. Short after, this choice of work became unfulfilling for me. As a kid, the family and I spent our summers on our boat in door county Wisconsin. It was here that my love of the water, fishing, and boating stemmed from. I decided to incorporate that love of the water into a career of sharing that awesomeness with others!!

You could say the neighborhood kind of chose me, we were very blessed when we moved here to find a quiet, virtually no crime, neighborhood with very peaceful and quiet neighbors :-)

We know that you will love spending your off time with us simply because you won't find better prices, or guests service anywhere in the keys, and moreover, The cove where the boat is located is absolutely breathtaking! Oftentimes you will have dolphins and/ or manatee frolicking behind the boat, herons,pelicans, gulls flying around, and schools of little fish perpetually jumping about make this cove a one-of-a-kind!
