If you are looking for a romantic getaway for two this is the perfect spot! Centrally located, but with plenty of peace and quiet, our studio apartment is a 7 minute car ride to the beach (Seawall), and 3 minute drive to the strand. Kick back and sip some wine while overlooking the beautiful garden. Check out "the space" section to see everything our property has to offer!

Check-in instructions were sent after the scheduled check-in time, which made arrival a bit confusing. Street parking was also unclear at first. The garage door had issues and often took 3–4 attempts to close properly. Inside, the layout didn’t accommodate using the sofa sleeper comfortably. Only one towel per person was provided for a 3-night stay, which wasn’t ideal. That said, the house was very clean and conveniently close to the beach.

Privacy

Saturday morning around 7:45 we are getting ready for our day and hear the garage door opening. Looked outside saw a truck had no idea who was coming into the patio? The owner didn’t tell us they were stopping by to let their dogs use the bathroom in patio area. Total invasion of our privacy without prior communication. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have no issues with owner coming and going as she pleases because she’s the owner like we were told several times.

This place was great! 2 things I would have liked. 1st.. blankets. The blankets that were provided were small and very thin. It was either have the a/c on and freeze or no a/c and roast. Also the WiFi was slow but apparently that is a larger infrastructure issue and not on the owner. It’s apparently being worked on.

Great for a quick weekend

Overall the process was simple, we were in and out easily on a random two night stay. Perfectly priced for what we needed and used. Pillows on the bed were fantastic.Window unit is loud. The filter hasn’t been washed in forever and could use isolation.The shower head could be cleaned.

Cute quite plave

This was my first VBRO and I was not disappointed. Such a cute place even had a little balcony with private courtyard where I sat and had a glass of wine. Public trolly is right there and a nice litttle hula hula restaurant so you don’t need a car. I woud definitely recommend this place.

AC too noisy and walk way too smelly

2 things I felt uncomfortable were 1. The AC is too loud. 2. We need to access to the room by going through the garage door and atrium but the atrium is belongs to the house owner who running dog boarding business and let dogs pee and poop there causing huge smell.

Great weekday trip

Place is very private and parking was easy during the week. Plenty of spots on 19th street. Comfortable bed and nice washer and dryer. Looking forward to staying again.

Cute set up

Overall we had a good time, the owner was flexible with extra guest and the space was very neat and clean. My only complaint is the listing. It says sleeps 4 but there was only space for 3 and you only know it’s a studio home if you scroll down in the description rather than labeled in the title. It’s also a rents space behind the tenants home, something I didn’t expect. Overall, for a small group it’s a nice place.

Walkable & safe downtown accommodation

This property is in the heart of downtown making it very walkable to restaurants and shops. It also feels really safe due to having to go through a garage to get to the front door. Parking was easy as there is a large area of free parking next to the property. Additionally, this property has access to a little courtyard that is cutely decorated with hammocks and chairs. We had a great time!!

Perfect guest house for a quick Galveston getaway for 2-4 people. Booked it for an overnight fishing trip. The place was clean. It was private. It was cozy. Access into the property was slightly confusing at first but I was able to figure it out. Communication with management was great. My only knock on this place would be parking. There is not an assigned parking area and it is downtown so you must pay for parking or hope to find a free space along the rode. Overall I would recommend this place.

Our stay in the Comfy Guesthouse was absolutely memorable! The host was gracious and very accommodating.The property is beautiful and within walking distance to everything. Perfect location

A small property, but we were just using it to sleep. Owner was very flexible and communicative. Very clean. Most importantly, the location is perfect for walking around and exploring the Strand.
