Honfleur is one of the most beautiful and authentic towns in Normandy. I chose this house for its unique character and its exceptional location — just steps from the famous Vieux-Bassin, the colorful harbor that has inspired painters for centuries, from Boudin to Monet.

But what makes this neighborhood truly special is its history. The locals call it the Françoise Sagan quarter — and for good reason. The oldest residents still tell stories of how the legendary French novelist used to come here regularly, bringing with her the biggest stars of the yéyé era: Johnny Hallyday, Claude François, and others. A commemorative plaque in the neighborhood keeps that golden chapter of French culture alive.
