Spacious and charming apartment in the perfect location

Our family had a wonderful stay. Bertrand was great and the apartment had every amenity needed to make our stay comfortable. Location is in the middle of a great neighborhood of shops and cafes in the Marais, and an easy 5 minute walk to the Seine river and a metro line. We loved it.

Large apartment in an excellent location!

You couldn’t ask for a better location in Paris. This large apartment has two full bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room, toilet room and shower room plus a large walk-in closet room and laundry! Everything you need to feel at home. Surrounded by amazing restaurants and shops, only a three minute walk to the metro, and the patisserie is just around the corner. Bertrand was a great host and good communicator. I would definitely stay here again!

Quintessentially Paris

The moment we arrived to our Le Marais apartment, Bertrand was gracious and lovely. His apartment is early 19th c. and absolutely beautiful! We couldn’t have been more pleased with the space, modern conveniences and location. Close to everything one would need, Metro, groceries and shopping. I would highly recommend Bertrand and his lovely place to anyone and we would happily stay there again. Thank you Bertrand for a wonderful Paris experience!

"The apartment was great: spacious, clean, bright and very well equipped, exactly as shown in the photographs. Its location is superb and the noise that eventually comes from Rue de Rivoli can be kept apart thanks to soundproof glasses! Bertrand was extremely correct, helpful and kind to us! Amazing spacious well-appointed apartment centrally located to shopping and restaurants

Bertrand is a lovely host. He was very easy to reach and even called mid-stay to see how things where going. He met us at the property to explain all the amenities and offer any tips for the area. The apartment was roomier than I expected for a centrally located city apartment. Lots of space for my husband and I plus our 2 adult children. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking actual meals. Plenty of pots and pans and stocked staples that the host offered us to use. It’s nice not to have to buy basic things like olive oil and sugars. Plenty of towels for a family of 4 and spacious bathroom for 3 women to get ready in the morning. I highly recommend this property. The owner treats you like family! -GiGi

Convenient, comfortable and well appointed

The apartment was very clean, spacious and full of light. It is very centrally located and an easy walk to many Metro stations, tourist sites and good restaurants. The area is full of thrift shops, ethnic food, and bakeries all of which were enjoyed by the teens in our party. There was plenty of room for a family of four. Bertrand, our host, came to meet us personally and was very gracious, allowing us to check in immediately upon arrival rather than in the afternoon. Check in and out was seamless and getting in and out of the building was easy. The elevator works well. The sofas and beds are comfortable and the shower is lovely. Should you decide to cook, the kitchen has everything you need and more. The washer and dryer were nice to have as well as the hairdryer. Anything you forget is a short walk to the pharmacy or grocery store. Don't miss the crepes at the little market up the street on Saturday or the lemon gateau at the Fox Den bakery around the corner across from the excellent falafel shop. The building is older and so the neighbors can be heard but it is not overly noisy for a city apartment and everyone was pleasant and considerate. The only caution to the apartment is the floors, they are older and extremely noisy so it is easier if everyone keeps a similar bed time. Overall, we would not hesitate to return again and Bertand is communicative and super easy to work with as a host.

Perfect home away from hone

Thank you, Bertrand, for sharing your elegant, spacious, comfortable & beautifully decorated apartment. Very comfortable beds, plenty towels; it’s fully loaded with every amenity imaginable. The kitchen is fabulous; I so wanted to cook in it but alas, all those bistros were calling us!! Location location location! Open the front door & we were right in the middle of Le Marais,our favorite area. Walk a few blocks the other direction to the Seine. A block from metro, markets, restaurants, boulangeries & shops. We will return to Bertrand’s apt again next year!! Thank you for sharing your home with us & for being such a gracious,generous host! Oh yes, we enjoyed viewing all your art & antiques!

Convenient; “at home” feeling

Location on #1 metro makes it very easy to get to most key sites without transfers, or with easy walks to Notre Dame, Cluny, Picasso, Pompidou. Owner friendly and accessible, tho absent physically from the site at the time we were there. “Lived in”, homey feeling. Cannot sleep more than three, maybe four, comfortably.

Great stay in Le Marais!

We absolutely loved our stay in Le Marais. The apartment was very comfortable and the neighborhood offered so many options for drinks, dinner and entertainment. We were grateful to be so close to a metro stop to easily tour Paris. We would definitely stay there again.

Pretend you actually live in Paris

For a week we felt like we really lived in Paris! Bertrand's apartment was in a great location with great bakeries, bars, and restaurants within a block, but still quiet at night. We loved the views from the tall Haussmann windows in front and the charm of the classic creaking floors. We appreciated the crisp white duvets and sheets and the mix of antiques and modern furnishings. Everything worked well and was as described in the listing. Bertrand was very helpful and a great host. We'd definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

Great place to call home for a week

This apartment is in a great area, felt safe and was very comfortable. The Metro was a five minute walk from the apartment and opened up the entire city when we didn’t feel like walking. We love being in the Marais, great food, cafes close to the Seine. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this as a place to stay while enjoying Paris.

Great stay in Paris

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in Bertrand's apartment in the Marais. Everything about the apartment, from the location to the furnishings to how responsive Bertrand was to all my emails, couldn't have been better. Even the squeaky floors that a few people have mentioned are part of its charm. I really hope to stay at Bertrand's wonderful apartment next time I'm in Paris. Amazing Central Paris Home

This apartment is in an amazing location in central Paris, just a 15-minute walk from Notre Dame, the Pompidou Center, the Picasso Museum and many other cultural landmarks. It is also surrounded by restaurants, markets, boulangeries and boutiques. You could spend many days in Paris just walking around the neighborhood and have a fulfilling vacation. The St. Paul Metro station is just steps away, essentially guaranteeing access to swift transportation throughout the city, including a mere 45-minute trip to and from Charles de Gaulle Airport. The apartment itself is spacious with huge double-paned windows, which shut out virtually all traffic noise. And while it was built in the mid-19th century and retains much of its original Parisian character (particularly the ornamental fireplaces and original wide herringbone floors), it has also been thoroughly updated. It has a stylish kitchen where we easily cooked several meals, and modern plumbing, fixtures and appliances throughout the unit, including a combined washer/dryer. The apartment remained warm and cozy even though it often dropped below freezing outside during our stay. Although the apartment is warmed by radiant heat, there was no noise or any other evidence it was at work. The beds were extremely comfortable and supportive. Bertrand was also an extraordinarily attentive host. Although he lives outside of Paris, he showed up at the doorstep at virtually the same time we did. We had just finished 13 hours of flying from L.A., and not having to wait on the street to get our keys was a godsend. Bertrand also carefully but swiftly explained every feature in the apartment. He quickly responded to an issue so minor that it is not worth mentioning here. If you rent this apartment, it will provide a full and seamless “living in Paris” experience. You can enjoy the city and completely relax when you return at the end of the day.
