We had a wonderful week here. The gite is bright, spacious and well furnished with everything you might need. The bed is very comfortable as are the sofa and chairs. A large dining table provides plenty of space and with additional tables and chairs outside there are several options for areas to eat/relax according to the sun/shade/weather. There is easy access out into the countryside yet it’s a short drive to the supermarket. The host is easily approachable and communicative. Lastly the welcome pack was exactly that. Highly recommend.

Very well equipped gite

Enjoyed our week at the Old Atelier. The gite is extremely well equipped, a home from home, wifi good and TV for the rainy day. Many places to visit within an hour's drive (or just over) so we easily filled our days.

Beautiful quiet retreat

We really enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of space in the Gite although the outside garden is small and the area which gets sun is quite limited. Kitchen very well equipped and brilliant welcome pack. Comfortable sofa, sun loungers and bed. Area very rural, hardly any cars or people around, perfect to completely escape and wind down.

Second time round, and it was even better than last year. The Atelier feels like home (we are even a bit jealous of whoever is occupying it right now), and is an ideal place to rest, relax and recharge your batteries. Peaceful, lovely, charming, and close to nice towns (Ruffec) or cities (La Rochelke, Poitiers, Angouleme). We do hope to go back soon to "our" gîte!

Lots of thought and care has clearly been put into the gîte in order to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. The location is ideal for getting out and about and exploring the area.

Great property

The gite was wonderful, everthing possible was there for the guests use….torch, matches, cleaning products, extra toilet rolls etc. We were welcomed with the most amazing pack of food products including beer & wine. The bed is super comfortable with additional blankets if needed, the large shower is great as well. The area/local towns were a little too quiet for us but we made the most of it….and it is out of season.

Faultless in every way

A very enjoyable stay. The property was immaculate upon arrival and communication and arrival instructions were excellent. It was well equipped and had everything I needed for a quiet, relaxing stay (when I wasn't out and about exploring). There was even a well stocked welcome pack with some thoughtful, handy essentials. It's situated in a tiny hamlet but only 10 minutes drive from the town of Ruffec which has everything you could need as well as the N10 main road for exploring further afield. Thoroughly recommended.

Wat hebben we 3 weken genoten van de rust! Wakker worden met de zang van de vogels om je heen....elke dag de uil gezien die met regelmaat in de nis in de muur ging zitten. Nog nooit zo vaak een uil gezien en gehoord! Met die app die ik op advies van Lene geïnstalleerd heb, heb ik tijdens onze vakantie in de Charente 82 verschillende vogels "gevonden"!! Supermarkt 5km bij het huisje vandaan en voldoende in de buurt om te doen en ontdekken. Keuken goed uitgerust en bed comfortable. Mijn liefje wat wil je nog meer...... Dank je wel Lene en Bob voor boodschappenmand , het voelde gelijk als thuiskomen! Voor eventuele komende natuur en rustzoekende gasten, gewoon BOEKEN!!!

Gite sympathique et bien équipé dans un village au calme. Voiture nécessaire. Bruits de la ferme et quelques passage de train. Procedure enregistrement en anglais a payer en pounds. Propriétaire tres reactif.

Séjour très agréable et reposant. Le logement est bien équipé. Très bonne literie.

Très beau gîte rénové

Nous avons apprécié ce petit nid douillet situé au calme à la campagne, proche du Périgord. Le contact par mail avec les propriétaires anglais est chaleureux. Le welcome pack -très apprécié- souligne la convivialité de nos hôtes. Je recommande! We enjoyed this cozy little nest located in the quiet countryside, near Périgord. Contact by email with the English owners is warm. The welcome pack - much appreciated - underlines the friendliness of the owners. I recommend!

Verblijf in Ruffec - la Renaudière -old atelier gite

Verblijf in de gite als de streek was heel fijn! Fietsen en wandelen deden ons deugd. Bij aanvang met de grote warmte was het aanwezige zwembad welkom geweest. Gelukkig vonden we aangename zwemplaatsen in de regio. Dank voor het grote welkomspakket en de lieve zorg van de eigenaars!
