Water's Edge Cabin on Lake Vallecito is a rustic WATERFRONT cabin located between Durango and Bayfield Colorado within walking distance to marina. Incredible views of the lake!

The rustic, comfortable, relaxed cabin-style home is situated in a rare, waterfront with a few other homes and cabins nearby. It is perched up and provides AMAZING views of Lake Vallecito. There are large multiple decks and a propane grill at the cabin. Our guests can fish, canoe and kayak directly from this home. Inside, there are views from the lake in every room of the house. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living/dining area and kitchen.

LOCATION: In the heart of the Lake Vallecito recreation area, you are near the marina, hiking, biking and ATV trails, fishing, hunting, ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling - the San Juan wilderness area is at your doorstep! Vallecito also has a few restaurants and general stores. Appx 25 miles to downtown Durango and 50 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

The fireplace in the Great Room is operational; the fireplace in the bedroom is NOT operational
Pets are not allowed at this home

VRC CANCELLATION POLICY: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
