Lakefront with Premier Views! Welcome to Starry Nights Cabin, where magic awaits! Rustic, mountainous, Historic 1963 A-frame Cabin, with stunning views from 2spacious decks, equipped with 2kayaks for your outdoor adventures.

Built on a rocky hill overlooking the lake, this home is a half-tree house, half cabin, and total happiness. It is comfortable in size with over 1,088 square feet for your enjoyment and two decks for stargazing every evening on both the first and second floors : )

Please note Starry Nights is a historic cabin and has its unique charm. One important characteristic to mention is that the staircase to the second floor is 24 inches wide. This adds to the rustic feel of the cabin, but we want to ensure all guests are aware for safety and comfort. If you have any questions or concerns about the layout, feel free to reach out!

Breathtaking Views: Enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding pines from two spacious decks, ideal for stargazing and relaxation.

Comfortable Accommodations: The cabin features two cozy bedrooms on the second floor, each with a queen-size bed and a half bathroom in between. A sectional couch on the first floor can accommodate 1-2 persons with a $35 linen fee for Guests numbers above 4persons or use of the sleeper couch.

Modern Amenities: Stay comfortable year-round with forced air heating in all rooms, each bedroom on the second floor has a small fan, and there is a window air conditioner and a 16" oscillating pedestal stand fan on the first floor.

The main floor of our cabin is designed to provide you with all the comforts of home. It features a fully equipped kitchen with a five-burner stove, stocked with just about everything you will need for your creative culinary skills, and a dining area that seats up to six with amazing views! Plus, a full bathroom adds to the convenience, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway!


Entertainment Options: Relax in the living area adorned with a 32” flat-screen TV, Netflix, and complimentary Wi-Fi. We also have a selection of board games for traditional fun! There is a fireplace to cozy into the evening and is perfect for relaxing with a good book or unwinding.

Outdoor Adventures: For those of us who love lakes and ponderosa pines combined, this cabin is a hillside and a perfect place to relax and take in the mountain air. Enjoy evenings by listening to the sounds of the water and wind in the trees, and explore the magical skies all around.

Take advantage of two complimentary kayaks, (to access kayaks, you will use a boat boarding ladder) life jackets, and oars for your lakefront experience. Explore the beautiful shoreline and walk down the private deer trail (which can be steep at points). You are responsible for your family's safety- "At your own risk". If you choose to participate in any of these activities and use the trail to the lake - you do so at your own risk.

We’re pet-friendly! One to two dogs are welcome for a $50 fee, pets are not allowed on the furniture or linens, please ensure they are crated if left alone in the cabin; always under your control; picked up after outside; any flea and tick issues resolved before your stay.

Convenient Location: Located in a friendly neighborhood with private access to the lake, you're just 30 minutes from Durango, making it easy to explore the area.

Guest Experience: One week before your stay, I will start communication on your upcoming trip. As your dedicated host and concierge, I am available to answer any questions or recommendations in the area so this can truly be a memorable trip.
I have a guest book in each cabin with detailed information of the cabin, area, hikes, restaurants and activities. We can also arrange to meet at the cabin so I can better understand your needs, goals, and desires, allowing me to tailor your experience to perfection!

My top priority is to provide you with a comfortable cabin, stocked with just about everything you'll need, while you explore all that Vallecito Lake and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Our small neighborhood has many majestic trees and because of this trash companies cannot use their hydraulic lift to pick up containers, all cabins use dumpsters on the main road and guests are responsible for taking their trash out.
