We had a 20 person retreat for our grad program and this was the absolutely perfect space for it. The lake was beautiful and the common spaces are great for groups. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Highly recommend this place if you want the kiddos to avoid being on their phones and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Accommodated our group of 24 perfectly with enjoy room to sleep and lounge around during the day. The lake amenities were a definitely a plus. Enough parking for 5 vehicles as well.

Beautiful, spotless, and perfectly equipped! The home had everything we needed — quality appliances, comfy bedding, multiple kayaks and paddle boards, and clear instructions for everything. The owner was quick to respond to any questions. Our three-generation family loved being right on the water and not far from the public beach. Highly recommend!

Best Family Trip

This trip was a little family reunion for us. We coulndt have picked a better place. The house itself had plenty of room for my family of 28. The kids had a blast catching bluegill off of the dock, playing on the canoes, and hanging out at the beach. This was the best family trip we've had so far and we hopefully will book again in the future. Bill and april's communication was fast and helpful. Celebrating Nana’s 90th at PML

We chose this property for our large family to celebrate Nana’s 90th, and it was everything we dreamt it would be. All amenities had been well thought out, from the comfortable beds, baskets of towels to handle a large crowd, and blankets for chilly nights and mornings on the deck. All of us enjoyed the water toys (well, maybe not nana!). We can’t wait to book another stay next summer!

This house is amazing!

We had a staff retreat at this house for the small nonprofit that I run, and it was perfect. The deck was excellent for eating and hanging out, the kitchen was well-equipped. The lake access was super easy, the weather was perfect. And the folks who own this home also manage it for rentals, and they are very friendly, communicative and easy to reach.

Summer Fun

We had a wonderful stay at the house! Along with the amazing view, the kitchen had everything we needed- even enough coffee cups for all of us! Outside, we paddle-boarded, kayaked, swam, played pickle-ball and golfed. Inside the house there was more than enough room for the family to play games, read and play pool all at the same time. You won’t be disappointed!

Best family vacation!!!

Every year our large extended family decide a trip to nearby areas from Bay Area for the MLK weekend!!! As a growing family, we wanted a house that could comfortably accommodate 20+ people. This was a perfect house!!! Very well maintained and a beautiful area. This lake side property was an absolute treat!!! Our family had a wonderful time and we do look forward to coming back during summer to enjoy the lake even more!!! The house is well stocked and the owner was really very helpful!

Great family vacation!

It was our first time to Pine Mountain Lake and it was everything that we had hoped for. What better place to spend the better part of a week avoiding the heat in the Valley among the pine and cedar trees on the water. Lots of lake toys allowed for excursions to the public beach without driving as well as just going for tour of area by paddle. The best was that the kids just "jumped in the lake" for hours of fun at our own personal dock. Oh, yes and the house is fantastic! It accommodated the whole clan and offered some personal and private space for everyone. Thanks!!!

Great location to Yosemite!!

We stayed at Pine mountain lodge for 3 nights-our group had 11 total and the house was plenty big for us! The lake, paddleboards and kayaks were awesome for our kids ages 11-16 and the back yard area was great for them to get out and enjoy the weather. The marina is a short drive were you can rent family paddle boats and there is a beach to do some swimming. The kitchen was fully stocked and dining room was large enough for our group. There are only 2 TVs in the house but we loved it because we played games and talked !! We really enjoyed the fire pit on the back porch! The owner was very responsive and friendly!!

Family reunion

Our stay at this house was wonderful. It's a gorgeous home in a beautiful setting. It was extremely clean and well decorated. The pictures accurately reflected the house, and the owner was very helpful with any questions or needs we had. The kitchen was not only beautiful, but very well equipped. The views of the lake were very good. The dock area was very nice, complete with a paddle boat and a deck area for sitting and relaxing or reading. Pine Mountain Lake is just 30 - 45 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite which is one of the most beautiful national parks in the country. Our family went into the park several times for hiking, biking, and picnicking. I would highly recommend this home to both family and friends.

Spectacular Lake House!!!

Our multi family group of 7 adults and 6 children under 13 had a fabulous time at the Lake house. It is very well equipped, especially with lake toys and life jackets. Everyone stayed busy paddle boarding, kayaking and pedal boating. The boys had a great time fishing right from the house dock. They caught and released a couple dozen fish. The drive into Yosemite to hike is about 90 minutes. The kitchen is well stocked and so much great seating out on the wonderful deck. The beds, pillows and bedding were super comfortable. I highly recommend this rental. April the owner was very helpful and communicative. I look forward to staying again next year!

April, thank you for this fantastic opportunity to enjoy your beautiful home, having all my brothers and sister together finally after 3 years of trying to get us all together. Your place is awesome very comfortable for everyone. Everyone has been texting me and thanking me for a wonderful time. The one thing that I was grateful for was as the youngest of 8 at 56 years of age is that my brothers thank God have recovered from knee surgeries and were able to do the stairs that I wasn't aware it was a 4 story house. Yet that didn't stop them from going down and up the stairs to the dock for fishing every day. They were able to enjoy the lake and get to their rooms safely. Again Best Vacation yet, thank you so very much.

BEAUTIFUL property! So comfortable and relaxing!

We had 5 couples for an Elder and Wives Retreat for our church. This VERY comfortable Pine Mountain Lake property was the ideal spot for us all to refocus and refresh with the Lord. The home is well stocked with anything and everything you might need for your vacation. You can even fish off the dock and catch something, rent a boat at the marina that is within walking distance, or just relax in front of the fireplace. And the beds and bedding that are provided are EXTREMELY comfortable! There's no "one night to get adjusted to a different bed" and then you're good the rest of the time. You'll sleep well from day one! April, the owner, is also very kind and a great communicator via text, email or phone. She's quick to respond to any questions/problems you might have. In addition, she and her husband were very accommodating to specific needs for our group. Our group definitely intends on making this an annual trip!

Yosemite Family Vacay

My family had a wonderful stay. The property can accommodate a large family and the private lake access allows for convenient family activities. The host is very helpful and responds quickly to inquiries. This location provided a convenient option for access to Yosemite. The entrance to Yosemite on Highway 120 from the residence at the Pine Mountain Lake location was about 1 hour and 15 minutes with mild traffic. My family did leave the residence by 7am on the days that we traveled to the Yosemite Valley area. I suspect traffic would be much worse at a later time in the day. The restaurants that we ate at (Two Guys Pizza, Iron Door and The Grill) were all very good. The grocery store was also convenient. Guests need to be aware of trash management at Pine Mountain as with a large group, it would be easy to exceed what is provided. My family did make a trip to the Moore Brothers center to buy the large trash bags that we required. We then had to deliver these bags to the dumpster at a different location.

Luxury house with not so luxury service

We enjoyed our week but had to be very flexible with the owner and cleaning staff. Some issues with wet carpet from before our arrival left us with a loud dehumidifier running for 2 nights straight. On top of it the cleaning staff which is not even located near PML was calling to have us do their work with this dehumidifier during our vacation. Furthermore, the outdoor grill was completely filthy. We called the owner and the owner rather then taking care of the issue, asked us to talk to the cleaning staff. This time, they told us "Sorry, we were too busy to check and forgot..." "But it's easy to clean you just have to..." Seriously?! FYI, this is the kind of house(and owner), that has little(and big) notes written everywhere(above bathrooms, laundry, kitchen). Some are informative, many are annoying, a couple insult your intelligence. Still, we wanted to let it all slide and enjoy our one big vacation even if everything wasn't done as you would expect from such a high end property. However, to be told 2 weeks after you have checked out that there is a extra kitchen cleaning charge. This was, after the entire family including my mother in-law cleaned(and scrubbed) the kitchen for HOURS both the night before and the morning of our departure. Made sure we cleaned everything we were asked to clean before our departure, was the last straw. If you are an experienced renter looking for a top notch enjoyable lake experience, you might want to keep looking.

Beautiful lakeside retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this property and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The proximity to the lake was a real bonus and having use of paddle boards and kayaks was a huge hit with everyone. We enjoyed using the fire pit too and eating outside with views of the lake.

We followers of Christ, first and foremost, second...everything else--a Mom, teacher, wife, helper, worker, cleaner, gardener, and whatever else God wants me to do. Bill, my husband, is busy working on our farm day and night and keeping the home fires burning.

This property has been in our family since 1977 and was designed by my husband, Bill. He attended a small engineering school that also offered degrees in architecture. Bill bought the lot back in 1977 and built the house. He picked it because the property was on a private lake, was within a few hours' drive, and was just below the snowline, which meant that we could drive to it without having to put on chains or have snow tires.

We updated and added two stories over the garage with two bedrooms, an additional bathroom, and a loft. We have children, and when we come and they bring friends, we need some extra room and bedrooms to accommodate our family. It feels like a little-known treasure, as many people still don't know about Pine Mountain Lake. It is especially lovely in the fall, winter, and spring, as Yosemite Park is quiet, all the summer tourists are gone, and it feels like the park is in our pocket, in our backyard. It's the best time to go. Then, after a day at the park, we love to come up to PML, a tranquil place during the fall, winter, and spring. We feel like the only ones on the lake. Summer is fun too for family gatherings. The kids love all the action, the swimming, fishing, and deck barbecues.

One of my favorite things about this house is all the places I can go to for privacy, even though my family is large and we have such a full house. I also love sitting on the swing bench on the back deck and looking at the lake. Waking up in the Master Bedroom, listening to the geese, and seeing the sun peek through the pine trees, with the water twinkling in the sunrise, is so renewing for my spirit. Life slows down when we go to PML. We have great memories there with our children, and we look forward to creating more. We hope you can do the same.
