I was in conversation yesterday when I arrived at the hotel and there was no recognition of my booking .The power was failing on the island so while I was chatting to the virtual assistant the conversation kept falling in and out then she was going to put me through to claim the money back but the conversation ended.I turned up and the hotel had no room for me it was totally full and the manager said he had no recognition of my booking and the hotel doesn’t deal with Vrbo.So it was getting late and had to source another hotel .So I didn’t get to stay there and had to pay for another hotel .So I was going to wait till I get back to contact Vrbo and claim my full fee and really the fee for the other hotel.I will be contacting bro on my return ,you should be able to see my virtual conversation on your system

Hello Terry, You are not communicating with VRBO or Abritel here, but on the hotel’s review page. I completely understand your disappointment. However, we would like to clarify that we have no longer partnership with VRBO, and to this day we still do not understand how they were able to sell you a room without any connection to our reservation system. By posting a negative review about our property, this unfortunately has a significant impact on our ranking on other platforms, even though the issue did not originate from our hotel. Please keep in mind that you are, quite rightly, an unsatisfied VRBO customer. However, also remember that when you arrived at the resort, you were welcomed with dignity and care. Despite the power outage—something that does occur regularly on the island—we made considerable human efforts to calm the situation, explain everything clearly, and find you an immediate alternative accommodation solution. We believe that the empathy and support shown by our team do not deserve such a negative rating. We would encourage you to share with other users how long VRBO actually took to acknowledge your issue and process your refund. You may then realize that we were far more responsive than they were.
