Nice location
We have stayed at Southwind before, but not this corner unit second floor facing the beach. The only dislikes were all the cameras, especially the one inside. Also, there is no ice maker or ice bucket. There were only 2 ice trays and 1 leaked. It took 2 days to have enough ice for drinks and ice had to be placed in a ziplock bag.
We did not do any cooking so I cannot review the range or oven, but the dishwasher and microwave worked well.
It would be nice to have a small high top bistro table on the balcony so meals could be enjoyed with a view of the gulf. The bar inside does not face the windows, so again no dining view.
Beach chairs & towels are well used & the beach umbrella was broken, so we didn’t try to use it. There was a nice beach wagon to load up all the things you may need, including lots of sand toys for children, but we did not use it either.
We did contact the owner to see if we could check in 30 mins early, but received no response, so we just sat in the parking lot.
There was a lot of sand on the sidewalks & parking lot, so to prevent tracking sand inside was a challenge. We never saw any condo maintenance. We did not utilize the pool in the back and sadly the tennis court has not been maintained. We love the quietness of the West End beaches. This unit was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. We would recommend staying here.
