Full remodel recently completed with all brand new designer furniture/appliances/finishes/surfaces/accessories, and stunning original art paying respect to Maui's rich heritage and emerald colors.

If you're a foodie and desire to cook your meals in, you'll love the kitchen, as it's outfitted for every imaginable culinary need. Cooking with the brand new Euro double-oven induction range is a total joy. For your convenience, you'll enjoy your own private, in-unit washer/dryer, and our private assigned parking space is literally 10 steps to your front door. No hassling elevators. All-new central A/C, ultra hi-def TV’s, Sonos sound system, wine refer, remote solar shade, beach gear, and high-end coffee and espresso machines. Bottom line: We want to provide you with all the creature comforts of a beautiful oceanfront home so you can feel inspired, relaxed, and totally refreshed.

You'll be staying at the 'private end' of the famed Maalaea Kai resort, and only 20 steps from the surf's edge and local sea-turtle sanctuary. We're approximately 200' from our private swimming pool, so instead of hearing kiddie noises, the only sound you hear is the constant surf and tropical breezes passing through the palm trees.

'The Kai' is famous for its golf-green landscaping, stunning Haleakala sunrises, quiet vibe and the perfect central location to every island amenity. (Our guest reviews rave about the location and laid-back Hawaiian vibe). And, were just a short 5-minute walk to either the sugar sands of uncrowded Maalaea Beach or Maalaea Harbor.

We co-own/manage the adjacent ground floor unit (VRBO #1485275) and between our two units, we've been honored with 100% 5-star guest reviews. (Many of our repeat guests book both units for larger family gatherings and we invite you to do this as well for a discounted rate) .

If you are looking for a clean, spacious place with incredible views, this is your place! The unit was well stocked with just about anything you may have forgotten to pack too! My family of 5 ( including 3 boys ages 13, 19 and 21) really enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The surround sound Sonos system was a bonus and wonderful to have on with the breeze flowing through the unit in the evening. After a busy day of exploring the island, it was a nice retreat watching all the sea turtles gathered on the shoreline and taking in the ocean waves and breezes right outside our back door on the lounge chairs. The property was very quiet and everyone we came in contact with was friendly. Downtown area has some nice restaurants (we liked Point Break Pizza) and some shopping. Maui Ocean Center was a great place to spend a few hours with my youngest as well! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you John for the accommodations and for your quick responses when we communicated!

While we had a rough stay due to air travel issues and then a historic Kona Low storm system, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. John and Trish have thought of everything you might need for your stay on Maui, extra beach bags, umbrella, chairs, snorkel gear, so easy to be a guest here! The backyard is a turtle sanctuary and so fun to watch! The pool was warm and clean, and it's easy to walk to the general store for coffee/ breakfast and pizza shop for dinner. Communication was great and John made sure we were taken care of!

Where to begin, the photos describe the condo perfectly. The condo was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had every thing needed for complete meal preparations. The view…the pictures do it no justice, incredible. The grounds are well maintained and the setting is very quiet. Location is in proximity to the island. This property is perfect! It has everything you need, including boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and anything else you can probably think of! We LOVED this property! Everything about it was perfect. The condo was immaculate. The location was perfect. Less than 15 minutes from the airport, grocery stores and anything else you need. Walking distance to the Ocean Center (aquarium) which was a great way to spend our first day after traveling, Starbucks, restaurants and the harbor where you can do snorkeling tours (we did the Maui snorkeling adventure on Calypso-highly recommend), sunset cruises and I’m sure anything else you want to do on the water. We were less than 30 minutes from high end shopping, food, beautiful beaches and adorable small villages. John and Trish were the perfect hosts and very helpful with recommendations. We saw the most beautiful sunsets and sea turtles playing right outside

Without a doubt this was the best experience we have had with a property and the owner! John was first class in everything he did as well as how his property was ready for us right when we got there! The condo was exactly as pictured-beautiful, very clean and great kitchen with all items one might need. Everything in the place was top notch! A fun perk was being able to walk out the sliding glass doors and off the lanai to the waterfront and see some sea turtles. Good time

Good property, nice unit with everything we needed for cooking. Turtles swimming in front of the property are amazing. Only feedback: pool has very little shade and this part of the island can be quite windy. Easy to get to other parts of the island, very centrally located.

Beautiful Condo

This condo was immaculate! Clean and comfortable for our family. Being on the ground floor, we could step right out into the backyard and enjoy the view. Communication from the owner was fantastic.

A fabulous Christmas vacation

The condo was in a great location and perfectly decorated. John was very responsive with questions and helped me plan a fun little Christmas surprise for my family. We liked being on the ground floor so we could walk in and out of our condo to sit and relax on the chairs right outside or walk along the wall to watch the sea turtles. We also saw whales right from the condo! It was an easy walk to several restaurants and to the beach. We absolutely loved our time in Maui.

Beautiful Stay in Paradise!

Amazing property just steps from the ocean and all the sea turtles and whales you could watch. Incredibly responsive owner/host and unit was as well-appointed as any we've ever stayed in with VRBO. Quite literally had everything we needed -- extra toilet paper, yoga mat, great beach chairs and towels, remarkable kitchen, etc. Check-in was incredibly easy and the unit was clean with everything working perfectly. We're frequent VRBO guests and have never had a property live up to, and beyond, everything we expected -- until this one! And we loved the quieter south side of Maui with a convenient drive to great restaurants and beaches at Wailea.

Perfect stay

When we were trying to decide where to stay on the island, quietness was on the top of the list. This location was perfect! It was central to everywhere on the island with a therapeutic vibe. The condo is perfectly decorated and we had everything we needed. Upon arrival we saw fresh bouquet of flowers, Hawaiian chocolate and treats, and a bag of native coffee! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you!

We discovered Maalaea Kai over 40 years ago when traveling with my parents. Now, 'The Kai' is no longer a secret. Once guests stay here, it's where they return. Besides the private, yet friendly vibe, inspiring views, and short/quiet walk to one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, it's THE absolute best location in Maui for easy access to any part of the island.

Virtually everything in this unit is brand new with all the accoutrements you would expect in a 5-star hotel at half the price. You'll never forget falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the nearby surf. (A local Maui Realtor recently mentioned one can't sleep closer to the surf without pitching a tent!) In the winter, watch (and HEAR!) the whales breach from your private lanai. Or, just walk 15 steps to the surf's edge and view the sea turtles frolic in their local sanctuary. You'll also find some of the most kind, generous, and genuinely nice neighbors during your stay.
