If you're looking for a newer condo with all the upgrades, one that's priced a little more reasonably than those right at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, The Pines at Ore House is a great option. This complex is situated one mile from the base of the ski resort, right on the route of the free shuttle bus that stops by every 10 minutes and runs late into the evening. As locals, we use this same shuttle to go skiing and head into downtown Steamboat Springs for dining and nightlife. You'll be within walking distance of the grocery stores, several restaurants, and discounted ski and snowboard rentals at Ski Haus, with an outdoor gazebo, two shared hot tubs, and heated changing rooms on the grounds to welcome you back home.

The condo is cozy and comfortable, offering a living room with a suede sectional couch, a river rock gas fireplace, and a large flatscreen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a great meal, and the small dining table provides seating for four (with additional seats at the bar). There's a spacious patio with a gas grill and chairs. The main bedroom has a king bed and an attached bathroom and closet, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the second full bathroom is in the hallway. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living room if you need a bit more space.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
