This VRBO is just as listed. It was clean in an excellent location, but you need to be mindful of music nearby as it can go on for a while.The patio could not be used because of cleanliness, but that may have been due to weather.

The host was non responsive.We lost electricity for one day and did not have hot water for the last three days.In order to get a response from the host i have to send multiple messages and the wait time is around five hours to get a response.This is the outlet in the bathroom very dangerous but the host did not respond.I would like to request for a partial refund with the lost of electricity and no hot water for three days. The bathroom was dark, dingy and hazardous.

Overall, our stay at Paris Marais Besties was good. The location of the apartment is excellent, situated in the Marais and within walking distance to many other areas, including the Louvre. We encountered a couple of issues, such as the Wi-Fi not working for almost the first two days and only being provided with two towels despite booking for four. When messaging the host, they responded quickly, but the Wi-Fi started working the following evening, and we never received additional towels. There was an air conditioning unit in the living room that was not functional, which the host confirmed after we asked. However, the windows in the living room and bedroom cooled the apartment quickly in the evenings, and fans were also provided for each room, which helped. We were concerned about needing to sleep with the windows open but had no choice. We were out most of the day, so we did not use the kitchen at all. We did not experience any noise issues in the evenings, even though we were there over a weekend, which was a concern based on a past review.

Poor communication plus a break in

While the listing looked as advertised, and is close to activities, what it failed to mention was:1. that the air conditioner doesn’t work nor does the dryer part of the washer. Our clothes smelt. 2. There is a private club below with heavy beat music from midnight to 5:30am. 3. There is only 1 fork in the kitchen and 2 spoons stuck together appearing to be still licked. 3. The mirrors on the ceiling above the bed were
odd.4. The windows aren’t secure enough to keep a man from entering the bedroom at 5:30am on a Sunday morning. I had to shove him back outside and he left by crawling across the roof opposite the terrace. 5. The owner would not respond to my questions at all. We left 1 night early and gave up a nights rate to pay to be elsewhere and feel safe after the intruder confrontation. I would not return.

Very Disappointed and Felt Unsafe

Multiple safety issues including front door deadbolt that didn't fully disengage and took several minutes to open, loose toilet seat, slippery shower floor, step (trip hazard) going into the bedroom, two partially detached power outlets, and terrace access that required climbing out of a window.Both beds sagged in the middle. The washer was difficult to operate (door latch misaligned), and the dryer cycle didn't work at all. (The clothes dryer was my primary reason for booking this property.) Loud booming music well into the night.The host never responded to my inquiry about the dryer, and slow to respond to my inquiries about the broken AC and what security measures were in place following a recent break in. (They had filed a "security incident" and said the building already had video surveillance.)Feeling unsafe and disappointed, we left after one night. I informed the host, and asked for a refund for the three nights we didn't stay. They immediately replied that I was being threatening and to vacate the property within two hours. I replied to confirm we had already left, and to ask directly if we could expect a refund. No reply. Later, I got an email confirming cancelation of the reservation with no refund.This is my first experience with vrbo and it has not been a good one. We respectfully request a refund for the three nights we didn't stay at the property. I will not book with this host again.

Trés bel appartement, chaleureux, calme absolu, bel emplacement (à coté de Beaubourg) proximité rive gauche, Notre Dame, St Germain et surtout La Marais. On s'y sent bien. Nous reviendrons.
