Located near Arrington Vineyards, Percy Priest Lake & 20 mi. from downtown Nashville. Enjoy both the Nashville bustle and Tennessee countryside. This contemporary farmhouse is the studio of a local artist. Spend your mornings walking the creek through a tree-filled property, gathering fresh eggs from the chicken coup to enjoy breakfast in the open floorplan kitchen. Take a quick ride into Nashville, or spend evenings around the fire or relaxing in the hot tub.

The open floor plan and several outside entertaining spaces (including a swingset) makes for a perfect escape or quiet couple's retreat.

Guests have the entire home to themselves with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

We are 20 miles from downtown, sitting on an acre plus of land with big beautiful trees. A local vineyard and lake are within a short drive, downtown Nashville is 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Publix, Target, and popular restaurants all within 10 minutes away. Papa John Delivers!

Nice retreat close to Nashville

Nice, clean house. We did all our cooking there and could have used a few mainstay kitchen items like a pasta strainer, toaster, etc. House is clean and comfortable. Fresh eggs a nice bonus.

Nice retreat

We spent 4 nights in Nashville visiting with other family members and stayed at the Artist Studio Retreat. It was a very enjoyable experience and a relaxing respite after a day of touring and visiting. We enjoyed the art displayed throughout the home and the beautiful chickens in the backyard. It was also conveniently located to shopping and other towns of interest. Kristin was very easy to communicate with and made our experience much easier since this was our first time in Nashville.

Maybe a hand rail to get up the steps into the kitchen I have a bad knee and had a little problem getting up them . The property is beautiful the chickens are beautiful also. Peaceful and quiet I love by a truck stop in ohio so I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

Girls Trip

My girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Llama❣️ It was awesome waking up to the natural light coming in through all the windows with the open floor plan. The hot tub was amazing after a day of sight seeing. The kitchen is spectacular and was our most frequented hangout area around the island. What you see in the pictures is what you get and more! Nice patio - great for pictures! *If you require closet space for hanging clothing items be sure to ask the host. We didn’t know we needed to ask, but we made it work*

Great potential

The property was immaculate and lovely, matching the description. It was fun to get our own eggs. However, there were a few issues... - there were open windows with no coverings or privacy screens in both showers which felt very exposing (this was the biggest issue! One of the bathrooms was on the ground floor and we didn't use that shower at all because of the window at ground level, at least the other bathroom was upstairs) - the bed squeaked with every movement - there were only 4 k-cups for our group of 4 staying for 5 days and no drip coffee maker, so we had to run out to buy our own k-cups - there were no tissues - the couches were pretty but very uncomfortable to actually sit in - there was no step to get into the hot tub These problems weren't enough to cause me to complain, I don't know what th owners could have done about the biggest problems. But as we stay frequently at rentals like this one we know what sets a place apart and this place has potential but could use some basic improving to achieve that excellent status (ie: mainly bathroom privacy and basic amenities provided)

We are so sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the property. We provide a fully stocked kitchen with spices, oils, fresh eggs and a days worth of coffees to get guests started but it’s not meant to provide food and drink for the entire stay. It’s expected that guest provide their own food. It is the first time we’ve had any complaints on the other specific issues you listed in over 100 stays through Vrbo and a i b n b and feel that the experience may just have not been a right fit for you but will take your critique into consideration.

Half and half

The property was beautiful and everything listed in the listing was there and readily available. The listing does state that it is approximately 25 minutes to nashville.. this approximation must have been made when all the streets were empty and all the lights were green as we ventured to Nashville multiple times in our 4 days and it was never under 40 minute drive. Also, every time we would go out for the day someone would use the nest thermostat and turn the heat down in the house. When we arrived it was under 60° and took 2 hours for the house to warm up to a comfortable temperature. After a 12-hour drive this was very inconvenient for everyone in our party. The next day the heat then was turned down on us when we went away for the day and took an hour for it to warm up yet again. The property would have been perfect if the owners had prepared for us and turned the heat on, and given us control of it as we are the ones paying to stay there. I understand that there was a cold snap that came through Nashville area the week that we arrived however this was a known fact and the freezing cold Cottage situation could have definitely been prevented. Otherwise the trip was great and the property was well kept and in a very safe area.

Hi Brandilyn! I’m so sorry that you had trouble with the heat and traffic. The home is 20 mi from Nashville and unfortunately depending on time of day and year, Nashville is a popular place so can take a bit longer to get around! As far as the heat, guests have control over it through the thermostat. We definitely don’t change it on people during their stay (you are right, that would be awful if we did!). I know you reached out when you first arrived that it was cold because the weather but as far as it dropping while you were out, you must’ve had the eco setting on. I’m so sorry, if we knew, we definitely would have helped you with it! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the home otherwise and again, so sorry for the cold & the traffic… I hope you still enjoyed our city!

Nice

Place was clean. Hot tub was awesome and enjoyed the fire pit as well. Nice having fresh eggs when we arrived, but didn’t get anymore for the week. Not a lot of furniture for 4 people to sit and visit. There weren’t extra towels for the hot tub. Things to bring- hairdryer, all personal hygiene items, 2 ply toilet paper 20 miles from Nashville, with traffic 40 min drive one way.

Thank you for your visit! We do leave toilet paper, guest soaps, both bath and hot tub towels (8 total, plus a washer/dryer if needed), a hair dryer, iron, a fully stocked kitchen and two fully furnished living spaces in addition to the bedrooms. Nashville is 20 miles away and takes 25 minutes on a normal day. Just like in any big city, its recommend to avoiding rush hour when possible.
