Family Weekend at the Lake

Location was great. The apartment was very roomy with all three children, ages 8-1 with us. Kitchen was very accommodating. There was plenty of storage. Neighbors were very welcoming and friendly. We would love to come stay again.

There was access to tie up our boat we unloaded at Eddy creek Marina. The property owners were friendly and helped us with anything we needed. Nice area, their Neighbors where very friendly as well! There is no cell service which makes it nice if you want to get away from the hustle!

Property was exactly as advertised. Perfect one room setup. It was just my husband and I, put a family of six could stay there, comfortably. The stairs were our only issue. At our age, that is a big issue. We particularly enjoyed the bistro set on the deck. The view of the lake was beautiful!

Due to weather conditions, the roads were bad and water was frozen. The owners came and helped us by shoving the drive so we could get out and even moving us to a other room with water. They couldn't have been more hospitable. The property was gorgeous. We will be back.

Not as described

This listing was not as described. We had to climb 3 flights of stairs and was quit disappointed when we got in the Vrbo to discover it was an attic with 0 defined rooms. The view was very hard to see considering there were trees everywhere and the fish cleaning station was unusable an then the property owner argued that they donā€™t allow cleaning but it clearly stated they did in the check-in info. It said the WiFi had a surcharge even tho it didnā€™t state that anywhere. Nothing was clearly laid out on the property and was disappointed we didnā€™t get any more of our money back than what we did being we didnā€™t stay but long enough to discover this bad room and remove our things. We found a resort that had tons of amities and a 2 bedroom cabin for half of what this terrible attic room was.

Perfect Lake Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and clean. We loved we could dock our boat. Owners were super friendly and helpful and same for the neighbors. What a peaceful little place back there. My kids did not want to leave! I read the reviews before booking so I knew there were 3 sets of stairs and a slope to the dock. This place is definitely not for everyone if you arenā€™t able to walk those! The only thing we we change is that the apartment is always set to 80 and we were dying when we arrived (Iā€™m being dramatic;) ! It does take a little while to cool down so our suggestion for future guests would be to turn it to cold and go out and do something fun for a little while! Thank you guys for sharing this awesome little space. We would definitely come back if we ever decide to go to this lake again.

VRBO always provides a surprise!

First of all Iā€™d like to say, this was very clean, which for us is one of the most important issues. However, we were shocked when we arrived that the vrbo was up 3 flights of outside stairs ( 26 stairs), behind a garage. The vrbo is on top of a garage. Nothing in the write up or directions for us when we arrived does it state how to get to the entrance. I went back to read the VRBO write up that we read when we booked and it says there ā€œwas an errorā€ so we couldnā€™t read it again. But if you pull it up now it says that itā€™s an apartment which I would never have considered. No where in the original write up OR the current one does it mention all the outside steps you have to lug up all your bags etc. A year ago after my husbandā€™s surgery we would have never been able to stay there. We felt deceived as that was not disclosed. And to think the high price we paid thinking we were getting a place on the lake is very deceiving. Also the pictures make u think youā€™re getting a large room with a bedroom but thereā€™s just a set of shelves separating the bed area. I know we are stuck since our card has already been charged but if I can warn any prospective renters that itā€™s not what you think after reading their description. Iā€™m surprised VRBO allows this to happen.

Great location & had access to a boat dock.

Great location & good communication with the renter. Almost everything was as advertised. The only negative from our stay was that the WIFI did not work in the rental space itself. It did work everywhere else on the property. Everything else about the stay was positive & the WIFI issue would have been a non issue if the weather was better.

Enjoyed our stay, will return!

This was the perfect place for us to enjoy a lake getaway with our 2 kids and their 2 cousins. We launched our boat at Eddy Creek and kept the boat at private dock the whole stay. The kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and the cove was peaceful and neighbors were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the living area, even with 4 kids (ages 8-10) we were comfortable for the weekend. The host was wonderful and accommodating. Look forward to future visits!
