3 bedroom/2 full bath lakefront home with gentle slope to private covered dock

Kayak Cottage is a gently sloping, lakefront property with a private covered boat dock. This cottage is nestled in the peaceful Carriage Cove subdivision right off the main channel of beautiful Lake Barkley. Our cottage is perfect for couples and families to spend quality time together. We are located approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Nashville, TN and 1/2 hour from the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened-in porch while taking in the the beautiful sunrise. Explore the natural surroundings while kayaking around the tranquil cove, with FOUR kayaks/paddles/lifejackets provided. Or, simply relax and enjoy some fishing on the boat dock. Don't forget to obtain your fishing license!

For a day of golf, two golf courses (Boots Randolph and Arrowhead) are within approximately five miles of the cottage.

Bring your own boat and launch it at a nearby public boat ramp. You may also take advantage of boat rentals available at nearby Prizer Point Marina or Lake Barkley State Park. After a day on the lake, enjoy the outdoor fire pit as the sun sets. We provide wood, starter, and skewers. Just bring your marshmallows!

Our small town of Cadiz is known for many antique shops downtown, along with other essential stores such as grocery and pharmacies.

If you prefer to be indoors, enjoy the tranquility of a gas log fireplace in the great room or downstairs master suit.

The cottage has been newly decorated, along with new linens, towels, etc. Two bedrooms (king and queen) and full bath are located on the main level with a master suite/full bath (king) and bunk room with a double bed (no door, but private with a small opening to master) located on a lower level walk out basement, where you can access a covered porch complete with a porch swings overlooking the lake. Additionally, the couch pulls out into a queen size bed. Overall, the cottage can sleep up to ten.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the luxuries of home, along with a propane gas grill on the lower porch. If you don't feel like cooking, no problem! Check out the Prizer Point Marina/Restaurant which is just 2 miles from the house. Enjoy the open floor plan of the eat-in kitchen and great room. Cable is provided along with wifi.

You can be assured that sanitation is our top priority in order to keep our guests safe.
