Welcome to Land’s End, located at the farthest point of secluded Lieutenant’s Island in Wellfleet. The panoramic views of Wellfleet Harbor from Land’s End are stunning, especially the vibrant sunsets and star shows from the deck. Secluded island beaches for swimming, fishing and boating are less than a minute’s walk from the cottage.
If you don’t know Lieutenant’s Island, it’s a remote island on the bay side of Wellfleet in the Outer Cape. It is inaccessible for 90 minutes on each side of high tide, which helps protect it from the hustle and bustle of the Cape at high season. Most of the island is a bird sanctuary, managed by the Massachusetts Audubon Society. Off island, ocean beaches are a 15 minute drive away, as is the town of Wellfleet, full of art galleries, bars, restaurants and other interesting shops.
The house has three bedrooms on the first floor and extra sleeping quarters and an outdoor shower on the ground level. But Land’s End is mostly about the second floor kitchen and living area, opening up to the large deck and panoramic views. Cable TV is not available at Land’s End - you won’t need it!
