Great stay for first time visit

Overall, we had a great experience! The place was clean, not outdated and in a good location. There was plenty of sleeping options.. 2 beds, a futon couch and a regular couch. The bed in the master bedroom slept 2 adults and a teenager comfortably and with plenty of space. The only issues was the AC in the kitchen didn’t work as it should and if the dryer was in use, the living room/kitchen area would get hot. The AC in the bedrooms worked great. We closed off the doors to keep the rooms nice and cold! The only other thing is the water pressure would be extremely low if more than one thing was running. If only one person was taking a shower or the washing machine wasn’t going, there was no issues. Overall, the place was nice, the neighbors were extremely friendly and it’s definitely somewhere I would stay at again!

Rebecca, thanks for letting us know about the AC and the water pressure. Your review is our first notice of those issues. Were there more than four guest staying with you? We like that the townhouse is in a family neighborhood, so it is usually quite after 10 pm. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the five stars.

Nice Nasty

This property was furnish as stated in the description. My family and I stayed here for 4 days. It’s convenient to nearby beaches and restaurants. Fort Christiansted is also nearby with a few family activities. The home is in need a deep cleaning. There’s dust encompassing the walls and floors. My sons white socks was black from the dirt on the floor throughout the house. The bedding/spread needed to be laundered as it smelled like it was stored away for sometime. The extra blankets needed to be washed as it collected dust from being stored. The showers in both bathroom were not cleaned, the tub had a dirt ring and tiles had soap scum and dirt. The shower stall, the same. The counter tops were also messy with left over crumbs and spilt sauces. The microwave was equally stained with old food. The dishes and pots were also not cleaned well. The pots needed scrubbing. I spent my first day (until 2am) deep cleaning so my family can feel comfortable. The owner should invest in professional cleaning, especially after a renter checks out. Surface cleaning is only sufficient after deep cleaning. The stove takes awhile to cook because of where the A/C is placed and the dryer heats ups the living room/dining room - the A/C is outdated and can’t manage the heat. The blender has mold in it and couldn’t be washed. This would be a great stay if the above issues are rectified. This property needs more love put into it.

We adhere to strict cleaning guidelines, that do not change from guest to guest. We take pride in the five stars we received for cleanliness from all of our past guest, and we are confident that we will continue to receive five star ratings. We received a text from the guest at 10PM (they arrived at 9:30pm). We knew the allegations to be false, and asked that they take photos of the alleged dirt and messy counters on her cell phone and produce them in the morning, when we meet at the townhouse. The guest produced no photos. The AC while not new, works well, when the guest remembers to close the kitchen windows. We are dismayed by the false statements by this guest. The bedding is changed after every booking and we take great effort to ensure that the townhouse is clean and as described in the listing. We are hopeful that our record of 5 star ratings from every other past guest booked on VBRO will assist future potential guest when considering our townhouse.
