Summary:

Magnificent 2 double bedroom flat located in the centre of Paris in the 4th arrondissement, just a few steps from the Rue de Rivoli known for its many lively shops and restaurants. You're surrounded by trendy cafés and restaurants, and a 5-minute walk from the Marais, the Beaubourg Centre and the banks of the Seine. Bright, warm, tastefully decorated and fully equipped, my apartment is ideal for a successful Parisian break with family or friends.



The Space:

79m2 flat on the 3rd floor without lift

This was a nice and spacious place to stay. Property is close to all amenities. The only downside is the noise from the busy street below.

Location, Location, Location!

We spent 10 days at this adorable apartment with our two teenage daughters. It was spacious and had everything we needed! The location is fantastic, you can walk outside the building and walk to cafes and shopping! There is also a small grocery store next door which came in very handy. We would absolutely stay here again.

This is in the heart of Paris - no more than ten minutes by foot from Notre Dame. The Marais is a lively area with plenty of shops and restaurants right on the street below, but the noise never bothers you in the apartment.

Loved the location

We loved the location of this property. We only had a long weekend in Paris and this was central enough to where we wanted to go. We also love the vibe of Marais and loved the street we where on. The only complaint I have is there where not enough towels and they could not supply more. I would ask in advance for more towels next time.

Appartment Rue des Lombards

We loved the appartment in the Lombard street, very spacious and characteristic, moreover in the middle of Paris centre, ideal for visiting le Marais and musea such as the Centre Pompidou. Perhaps the only thing to note would be that the Lombard street can be a little noisy late at night due to all the nearby cafes. Nevertheless, we have had a great time!

Great location and apartment

The apartment is centrally located to restaurants and shops in Le Marais. It is very close Chatelet metro stop which is a very central station for most connections including CGD. The apartment is spacious and the listing is accurate. I also accidentally left my my key in the apartment and was able to contact Johanna and pick up an extra key! My only concern for this place would be if traveling with elderly companions. It is on the third floor and you may have to walk up with luggage. This was an excellent place for us!

Nice apartment

Our family of 4, with two adult children, stayed at this apartment for 3 nights. We all enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spacious, well located in a bustling area with cafes, all types of eateries and bars just steps away. It is located off a main street so only walking traffic just below. It’s a little noisy due to being above all the eateries, but that wasn’t a big problem. This apartment had a lot of Parisian charm, which we were looking for. Be prepared for a winding staircase to climb a few floors, which really only was tricky bringing luggage up and down.

The apartment location was good. 5 minutes to metro. Apartment provided good space and met all of our basic needs. The check in process needs to be updated as the lockbox to enter the apartment is no longer attached to the wall next to the apartment door. This created quite a bit of panic after a day of travel but we finally (through much searching) found the lockbox near the mail boxes on the first floor.

Not as it appears

Pros: 1. Great location. 2. Good kitchen. 3. Roomy living space. 4. Felt safe. Cons: 1. It was described on VRBO as having 1 1/2 bathrooms. No. It has 1 toilet in a small closet and a second "bathroom" with a shower + 2 sinks–no toilet. 2. Living room couch was filthy. 3. The mattresses were filthy. No mattress covers, just a sheet on top. 4. Kitchen and small bedroom had good lighting, but the larger bedroom had just 1 dim bulb so it was impossible to see in there without a flashlight. Likewise, just 1 very dim ceiling light in the living room 5. No oven in the unit. Just a microwave. 6. No instructions on how to work the appliances. The washing machine (no dryer) is a mystery with incomprehensible icons. While a pdf is supplied to explain the apartment, nothing explains the washer or how to control the heat in the apartment. (The “Heating” option in the pdf shows a picture of the electrical panel. Unrelated to the steam heating in the apartment.) 7. The unit comes with very few amenities like soap or shampoo. For a two bedroom apartment advertised as sleeping 6 people, there were just 2 coffee pods; 1 regular 1 decaf. No basic food staples at all, such as salt or pepper or sugar or tea. I have never stayed in a VRBO that did not have all these items as a minimum. 9. We stayed for 12 nights. The $4941 did not include cleaning of the unit during our stay. This seems remarkable stingy for such a long and costly stay.

Thank you for your comment and your feedback on our apartment. we are surprised by your comments concerning the details of the bathrooms and toilets which are nevertheless correct (the definition of the bathroom is not the same in the USA as in France, which is why it seems incorrect to you, however everything is correct the washing machine does not have the dry option as indicated in our ad, we do not melt household products and laundry detergent as also indicated in our ad. We are also at your disposal and very responsive to your request and we intervened the same day when you informed us that the bulb was broken. We are and remain attentive to our guests, it is our priority! 1 star rating is really harsh and not undeserved :(thank you
