This top floor penthouse condo is one of the nicest condos in the area. The property was fully remodeled with over-the-top upgrades including: wall-to wall ocean views, tumbled travertine floors throughout, slab granite gourmet kitchen, European Decor appliances, shabby-chic design, high-end furnishings and finishes throughout. Primary bedroom looks out over the ocean. Back bedroom can be adapted from twins to a king bed for couples. If you are looking for a high-end property with whitewater views, luxury beds and linens, top-floor penthouse amenities with high ceilings and tons of natural light, you have found the perfect unit. There is one flight of stairs to reach the top floor penthouse, a BBQ grill on the front deck and there are two parking spots with the unit.

The views of the ocean and beach from this unit are most impressive! We enjoyed the convenience of the swim and racquet club facilities, parking, and location near good restaurants and shops. Credit to the property manager for prompt response and repair to issues with the unit. Overall the experience was memorable. The sound of the waves crashing the surf are still with me.

Enjoyable Beach Stay

A repeat stay for us as we enjoyed the stunning ocean view, beach, quiet complex, pool, tennis courts and location to other restaurants and activities. The unit does need a thorough cleaning as the kitchen drawers had crumbs in them and dust bunnies throughout the condo. The property manager was responsive to our requests as needed.

Ocean happiness!

Delightful condo with lots of amenities! We throughly enjoyed the lovely condo. It has the best equipped kitchen we have ever experienced in a VRBO, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and furnishings and an excellent reading selection. We loved watching the surfers and the children’s swimming classes from the great balcony. The complex is very attractive with nice landscaping. The location is perfect—- easy access to shopping, restaurants, San Diego and villages along the coast.

Beach Magic!

Our stay was spectacular. Kitchen well equipped, furnishings inside and out most comfy. Even the screen doors work well, which is often not the case with beach front condos. Bath towels and sheets need upgrading. Otherwise, the ocean sounds and sunsets make for a magical experience! We will be back!

It was great! The only thing we were expecting and didn't find were beach toys and good chairs. The grill and front porch were dirty and we had to clean, sweep it off and clear away the spider webs ourselves. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit itself was very clean.

Absolutely beautiful ocean view

This 2 BR/2 bath condo has a stunning ocean view! Quiet neighbors, quiet complex, very relaxing.The condo decor is nice, if a bit dated. Kitchen supplies were adequate, appliances were modern. We did find some crumbs in kitchen drawers and cupboards, and dust bunnies/hair underneath beds and couch that needed to be taken care of. For the most part, though, it was fairly clean and comfortable. It was disconcerting that internet streaming sometimes got disconnected for no reason. The owner was responsive to requests/comments and was very nice.

I must say that when I booked this place I was impressed by its ratings. First and foremost, we booked it for several reasons. First one was the oceanfront. It is oceanfront if you are straight out from your patio. But the 2 buildings on each side of you, it’s actually obstructed. So don’t expect a panoramic view. Next is that in 3 different areas of the website, it stated that it has a/c. We would NEVER book a place without one due to health reasons. I asked the property manager why it didn’t have a/c as soon as we arrived. She said they never had it. Good thing I took pictures of it where it said on the website in 3 different areas that there is. Obviously by then it’s too late to get another place and we couldn’t get a refund. She said to open the front windows and patio door to get the air to go through. And to use the ceiling fans. The white ceiling fans were extremely dusty. Never had been cleaned in a long time. We turned it on and dust blew off of it so we had no choice but to leave it off. There was ants everywhere( In the spare room on both of the beds, in the master bedroom, in the kitchen sink, in the kitchen drawers and near both the patio doors).Mentioned that as well to the property manager just for her to say cuz we left food out. We don’t eat in the room! My kid had to sleep on the sofa but it was stained everywhere. There were spiders too. Need to continue the review on another pg. Don’t stay here!

We are very sorry for the mistake of showing A/C when this was not included and understand that this was a problem, so we offered a refund as a result. We have corrected this mistake on VRBO for future reference. We also recognize that the ceiling fans were old and are replacing these in August. We did not have ants or spiders the week before, so not sure why these showed up. We appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Nice condo with an amazing view

Pros: Great updated condo with beautiful views of the ocean, well equipped kitchen with high end appliances, clean, nice amenities in the unit for guests to use such as boogie boards, beach chairs etc. Amazing beach even though it's a hike getting back up the stairs, but so beautiful and uncrowded even in the summer. Dolphins put on a show for us several times and it was fun watching the surfers during the high wave advisories. Amazing sunsets. Plenty of supplies like dishwasher detergent etc, you just have to do a bit of searching in cabinets and shelves. Loved having the washer/dryer as well. Appreciated the care put in to the unit to make it feel like home. Great location near restaurants, shops etc in Solana Beach and Del Mar. Easy drive into the city and to other attractions. Cons: Musty when you first walk in bc of lack of AC. We kept the windows and sliding doors open as much as possible. We were comfortable enough sleeping under the ceiling fans, but it was stuffy and musty with all the windows closed at night. Be prepared to possibly wash some blankets, bath mats etc when you arrive. Clearly had not been done in a while. Tiny little ants in the kitchen and some other areas. Do not leave any open food or candy out (we put everything in the fridge upon discovering our little visitors). I communicated the laundry and ant issue to the owner after checkout and did not receive a response. Only hiccup with check-in process was the code to the parking gate did not work. This was remedied by the owner as soon as I messaged her. Not a big deal although a bit concerning when we first arrived and found we could not get into the parking garage after a long day of travel. I have traveled extensively and my family rents a beach condo in various locations almost every summer. This is a 4 star property that could be 5 star with certain modifications. The complex is nice but dated and but could use some updating like new windows etc. Lovely condo in many ways though, and it was very hard to leave that view and balcony on the last day of our trip!

Great views and location

This property was perfect for my family’s needs. We were in town for a soccer event and it offered close proximity to the fields and a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean- an absolutely beautiful view! Well equipped kitchen and w&d were great to have in unit. I would definitely stay here again. The lack of AC took a few days to get used to but we acclimated quickly- it was a wonderful getaway!

Incredible Views

This is a quirky property with incredible views. Things like uncovered upper windows in the main bedroom, a wonky shower head and broken cabinet doors suggest an older property. The views made up for those inconveniences. The sound of the ocean surf was restorative. The convenient location allowed for a lovely combination of sight seeing and relaxation.
