Enjoy the enchanting ocean-side estate of Leapin' Lizards, located at Turtle Hill on scenic Elbow Cay in the Abacos. Travel back in time and experience old world island charm in the ambiance of cozy beach-side living. The architecture of high Bahamian tongue and groove ceilings in every room with bead board walls creates a memorable time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The newly remodeled accommodations include seven uniquely decorated bedrooms, eight bathrooms, four kitchens with all new appliances that can easily be grouped into four distinct suites located in two buildings. Guests will notice the cozy beach feel throughout.

The two buildings are connected by an elevated walkway leading to a swimming pool and its surrounding deck. All-in-all, there are thirteen beds that can accommodate seventeen guests, plus a three full length couches for three additional guests as needed.

Visitors first encounter the main three-story building then proceed through a beautifully landscaped courtyard to an elevated swimming pool with tanning deck, finally arriving at the Beach House.

* Smaller groups can rent either the Beach House which has 2 bedrooms sleeping 6 people OR the Main House which has 4 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 11 people in four bedrooms. Either property can be reserved for $11,825.00 inclusive of all taxes. The empty unit will not be rented separately. *

The Beach House

The Beach House has two floors and is complimented on its ocean-side deck with an elevated outdoor bed designed for sunning and stargazing. The first floor is named “Mermaids Quarters”. You enter through a fully protected outdoor patio to a living room, full-service kitchen, bedroom with a queen bed, an oversized bathroom, and its own laundry room. Just off the patio is a painted life-size aquarium for the children to enjoy and add to with their beach treasures.

The second floor of the Beach House directly faces the ocean. It offers a full-service kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. The ocean-view bedroom named “Sea Angel” has a queen bed. The accompanying bedroom named “Starfish” has two single beds.

You can exit the kitchen to the pool deck which has outdoor dining for eight. The pool deck also provides an ice maker and outdoor grille as well as its own bathroom for swimmers and sunbathers.

The Main House

Our tour of the three-story main house begins on the first floor with the “Turtles Nest”. This suite offers a full service “retro” kitchen reminiscent of the 50s, a living room with a full-size sofa and a separate bedroom with two single beds and one set of bunk beds. A large full bath is also included.

The second floor provides three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The first bedroom is called “Captains Quarters” and includes a king bed. Across the hall is “Curly Tails” with a queen bed. At the end of the hall is the “Crews Quarters” with one single bed and one set of bunk beds.

The third floor has a full-service kitchen and living room with access to two outdoor decks connected by wrap-around walkways. The ocean side deck is outstanding for watching spectacular island sunrises. The rear covered deck offers panoramic views of the Turtle Hill community as well as amazing Sunsets. The ocean-side deck has a table and chairs for ten people, whereas the covered rear deck has a table and chairs for eight people regardless of the weather.

This is a terrific property for weddings, family reunions and other special events. The one-word best describing Leapin' Lizards is, “Charming"!
