Rainy almost every day so couldn’t do as much as we planned. Weather was a little cooler than expected so bring sweaters and hoodies. Enjoyed the great kitchen, comfortable beds and living room furniture. Used the kayaking equipment and enjoyed looking around the lakes.Thanks Peggy for the use of your lovely lake home. We loved our time together there.

This was our family's second year vacationing at the lake house and it was fabulous yet again! The amenities included - especially the use of their kayaks and paddle boards - was a highlight for our entire family again this year. Lake Morris and the connecting lakes are so peaceful to explore. And with temperatures in the 90s, it was wonderful to cool down in the AC. We also took advantage of the Roku smart TV to stream movies on the 1 rainy day of the week. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Extremely clean and well cared for property. Just as described. Owners were easy to work with. Location is great with lots of trees. It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the drives were very scenic.

Beautifully maintained cottage on the best lake in the world!

We loved our stay at this property. The accommodations were perfect for our family and had everything we would ever need. I spent my summers on (in) Big Hills Lake when I was growing up and I loved sharing it with my children.

Beautiful property, very peaceful, mother and stepfather loved it many meals spent outside on the deck. Provided us with everything we needed in the home. Close to other towns for antiquing, meals out, exploring this part of the state. We felt very fortunate to have found this lake home.

We had an amazing stay at this home in Mount Morris! The community is welcoming, the home had everything we needed, and the lake is absolutely beautiful. We loved being on the quiet inlet, it was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. It’s an ideal spot for families of all ages. The kids had a blast fishing; there were plenty of bluegill and they were easy to catch, so every child was able to reel in some fish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly stay,

Family getaway.

Great property we loved everything about it. The house was clean and the living space was perfect for a large family. The family loved all the amenities, from the games and books to the lake toys and kayaks. We've been coming to Wild Rose for years and we may have found our new favorite getaway.

Family Vacation

This property was a prefect stay for a family getaway vacation. Little to no reception to unplug from phones but excellent wifi if you still needed to stay connected. The owners were fantastic and really display Wisconsin/ Midwestern hospitality. We were looking for a lakefront rental and feel like we made some acquaintance friends in the process.

Wonderful Lake House Getaway

The Lake House is perfect - just as advertised - with plenty of room for a family of 4+. There is a swimming area for small children, and it's close to the county park/beach. It's a peaceful location with lake access. Peggy and Steve are helpful and responsive to questions. I highly recommend this Lake House as a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Morris family vacation

Hosts were super at communicating to all questions in a timely manner. Our family had a great time together, fishing, playing games, and relaxing at the beach. The house was perfect for our needs, loved having the basement for a little separation when needed:) Thank you to Peggy and Steve.

Lovely Property, Lake Just ok

Beautiful property, fully stocked with everything you could need. Very clean and very attentive host. The lake is clean with nice bottom but quite small, as are the other on the chain. The 1/2 bath is not quite a 1/2 bath.

Beautiful Lake House

Communication before check-in was thorough and prompt. We arrived and had a very easy check in. The house was tidy and the landscaping/beach well tended to. The location on channel right next to lake is so peaceful with no wake rules (lake area allows wake 10am-5pm), but you can also see the people as they pass by on their pontoons. Boathouse is stocked with fishing/swimming/floating/lazing supplies. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

The last few summers we have stayed in more rustic cabins in the area, but this property spoiled us in the best way! Lake Life all the amenities you could ask for a fantastic family vacation that went by much too quickly. The lake house was very spacious and inviting, with plenty of seating/table options for dining inside or out and playing family games. We enjoyed time around a campfire multiple nights & grilling out as well.Having use of the included paddle boards, kayaks & fishing poles kept any complaints of “I’m bored” from our kids at bay. The Wi-Fi access was an added bonus, as none of us had great cell reception - and we utilized the Roku TV a bit.For us the location couldn’t have been better. Our favorite beach for relaxing/swimming is Little Silver Lake, and it was less than a 10 minute drive from Mount Morris. All-in-all we were very impressed with the rental and hope to be back again in the future!

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

Absolutely loved this cabin for my young family. We have 2 children (ages 3 and 5) and we found this cabin to be perfect for them. It had a smooth, paved walkway to the water, easy entry to the lake, shallow water (my 5 year old could touch until nearly the end of the pier), sandy area to play, lots of small pan fish under the dock, owners provided baby gates, and the set up of the house was perfect for kids. My boys also loved having various floaties, kayaks/SUP and sand toys to play with (all provided in the exterior shed). The owners were very responsive to emails and texts. Lovely to work with. We would highly recommend this to any family, especially those with young children. Town wasn’t very big but we did enjoy Bird Creek Park (playground + splash pad). Only “con” was the checkout process. I don’t mind cleaning whatsoever, but we did have to clean-clean after ourselves (cleaning the tub, toilet, vanity/mirror, vacuum, haul trash to waste site, etc.) For us it was minor but just not something I was used to. Will definitely stay again!

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house is charming, well maintained and in a very rural area. There is plenty of wildlife to observe. It was particularly nice in the morning to sit on the pier and watch the birds. Also, there is a county park a short distance away. It's a lovely walk up the hill to the park. There are paths that take you through the woods and a spectacular view overlooking the bluff. There is a cleared area in the lake for swimming, however it's quite small. The sandy spot for playing is also quite small. It is more than adequate for young children. Just a bit down the street is a park that can be used for more serious swimming and sand castle building. It is a walkable distance. The sleep accommodations and bathrooms were adequate for the six of us. The house is full of interesting books and games. Outside there is plenty of outdoor furniture and outdoor equipment as well as a great fire pit. We've been doing a lake house vacation for 6 years. This was one of the nicest we've had.
