Süßes Ferienhaus am Long Lake an den Chain O 'Lakes in Waupaca, WI, wird wöchentlich von Samstag bis Samstag für 1500 USD plus 200 USD Kaution von Mai bis September vermietet. Zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Bad für 8 Personen. Ein Queen-Bett, ein Doppelbett, 2 Einzelbetten und eine ausziehbare Couch, die Queen ist. Volle Küche. Kanu inklusive. Bei Anmietung ist eine Woche Pontonmiete erforderlich. Dies wird separat erledigt, nachdem Sie das Cottage auf VRBO gebucht haben. Es ist ein 18 'Ponton mit 40 PS für 500 USD pro Woche mit einer Kaution von 200 USD.

Das Seeufer hat einen Sandstrand und 50 Fuß Sandboden bis zum Abhang, damit Kinder im Wasser spielen können. Wir haben ein langes Dock im T-Stil zum Angeln, Sonnenbaden, Entspannen oder Wasserski. Auf dem Dock ist es den ganzen Tag sonnig. Das Angeln ist ideal für Pan Fish und Bass. Das Wasser ist kristallklar. Sie können tatsächlich sehen, wo die Schnecken krabbelten und morgens Spuren im Sand hinterließen. Bitte kommen Sie und amüsieren Sie sich! Es gibt tolle Restaurants mit dem Boot. Wasserski-Shows zum Anschauen. Kanutouren zu nehmen. Waupaca bietet ausgezeichnete Golfplätze und Tennisplätze. Der Hartmans Creek State Park ist gleich die Straße runter, mit kilometerlangen Radtouren und Wanderungen durch den Wald. Sie werden es hier lieben.

Keine Haustiere erlaubt. Kaution wird immer zurückerstattet, wenn sauber und unbeschädigt.

Classic rustic cottage in a great location with sun all day.The focus at this place is all about the lake - as it should be! Great sandy bottom beach, great amenities like kayaks and a canoe, a great dock with plenty of room to sit all day and the pontoon is so convenient to explore the rest of the connected Chain O’ Lakes.The owner was very communicative and easy to work with. We fully understood that we were renting a rustic cabin and did not expect luxury accommodations. We have rented cabins on the Chain O’ Lakes for years and were simply looking for lake access, shelter, a place to sleep, and a functioning restroom. However, a rustic property should still meet basic standards of safety, sanitation, functionality, and privacy.The cabin had exposed electrical components that raised serious safety concerns. The bathroom provided virtually no privacy because the walls did not reach the ceiling, sounds traveled throughout the cabin, and the door had no proper handle or functioning lock.The stairs leading to the lake were also unsafe. Several concrete steps were loose and wobbly, and on multiple occasions the concrete shifted beneath our feet, requiring us to catch ourselves. This could easily result in a serious injury, particularly for children or anyone with mobility concerns. The adjacent railing was partially held together with electrical tape, raising further concerns about whether it could support someone during a fall.Finally, we were required to pay 500 to rent Chad’s boat even though we brought our own. The boat was in extremely poor condition and appeared not to have been cleaned or maintained for years. It was covered in what appeared to be extensive black mold, including the seats, flooring, and steering wheel, making it unsanitary and unusable. We have included photographs documenting its condition.

The cottage was built the way it is back in the day. Most guests love its rustic charm but its not for people looking for a newer lake home rental. The annual inspection reports are posted on the cottage bulletin board. The pontoon seats are cleaned twice a year with a vinegar and water mixture but are discolored as it says in the description. The motor and bimini top were replaced recently. We have never had a safety issue. The pictures of the cottage are exactly how it is and what to expect upon arrival.

Owner was very responsive in advance of our stay, everything was in order and as advertised. The pontoon was a great addition and gave us access to all the chain has to offer. Access to the Crystal River (paddle) and Heartman Creek State Park (bike/hike) was quick and convenient.

The cottage has a bat problem. One night, two bats were flying around the cabin. My sister had puncture marks so she had to receive 6 anti-rabies shots. Chad came over and killed one bat but he was dismissive of the problem. He pointed out the badminton racket in the bedroom to knock down/kill bats. The cottage, facilities and pontoon boat are all rundown. Must bring your own linens and towels. Bathroom is one step above an outhouse. No washer/dryer.Lots of rules and "big brother" watching.The location is good. The lake is very nice - clean with sand bottom. Fishing was enjoyable, mainly small pan fish.

Unfortunately everyone else loves it here. The cottage is exactly as shown in the pictures. The bat entry location was filled and no problem now. This renter probably needed a hotel more than a cottage.

We ended our week-long stay after only two nights because the host’s behavior made our family feel unsafe. On the second day, the host arrived unannounced and began yelling at me about how our ski boat was tied to the dock. His outburst was so severe that our nine-year-old granddaughter ran to the cottage in tears. It took nearly two hours to calm her, and she no longer wanted to stay. We removed the boat at his insistence and photographed the dock to document that no damage had occurred.The property also had several maintenance issues and did not fully match the listing. The stairs to the lake had loose steps that could create a fall hazard. Although advertised as two bedrooms, the sleeping areas are open to the rest of the cottage with no full-height walls or ceilings, so noise carries throughout. The pontoon boat was heavily stained with black mold and looked nothing like the listing photos. The flotation mat shown prominently in the photos was not included, and the host proposed a separate cash arrangement while asking us not to use the Vrbo message system. After we raised our concerns, the host stopped responding.The beach and lake were enjoyable, but because of the host’s conduct and the property’s condition, we cannot recommend staying here.

The renter broke our Rule not to tie a boat to the end of our dock. He said he was bringing a 15 ft boat and I showed him where it could be tied on the side of the dock across from the pontoon. The boat was much bigger and probobly unable to get in shallow enough so they tied it to the end of the dock. I drove by with my Mom in her pontoon and noticed it and yelled my name and asked them to remove it because we were out on the water. We never entered the property to do so. Rules are in place for a reason and must be followed. After I was notified the boat was removed I informed the renter everything was cool. They chose to leave the following day. All the pictures of the cottage are exactly what to expect when arriving and the annual inspection reports are posted on the bulletin board in the cottage. This renter was just unable to follow clear rules.

Chad was very responsive to any questions we had and made check-in and check-out a breeze! Communications were prompt and clear. The pontoon worked great and we really enjoyed being able to tour around the lakes. Fishing was awesome right off the dock with mostly bluegill and bass caught. There are significant steps to the water but we were aware of this and expected it from the pictures provided. The dock is in great condition with steps right into the water. Nice sand bottom. This is a rustic cottage with not a lot of personal privacy as ceilings are open but it worked fine for our family. Air conditioning is window unit but worked well enough to cool things down. Nice TV with cable although we didn’t watch much. WIFI was nice to have along with board games we could use.

I am disabled and believed this to be a walk out. 29 steps down and up made it difficult. Cottage I has no ceilings or insulation. Open electrical. Charles was very nice. Easy to work with.

All the pictures are originals from the property. There is a picture of the hill down to the lake and also of the interior walls of the cottage. There should be no surprises.

Relax on the lake

This was what our family was looking for.. cottage on a lake, quiet, yet still near a city to get things we needed. Enjoyed the sun, boating around the clear lakes, and get out to great Wisconsin supper clubs..Thanks Charles for a great week!!

Great Get Away

The cabin sits on a beautiful chain of lakes. We enjoyed the pontoon boat everyday. The beach at the cabin is sandy and we swam from the pier everyday. Great place to go, to get away from everything. Also, there is a restaurant on the lake with Dockside service. You don't have to leave your boat!!
