Experience daily private sunsets at this cozy home on the Lake Michigan shore. Relax on the deck or in the sunroom while enjoying breathtaking lake views. The open floor plan is perfect for spending time with loved ones and fully supplied kitchen great for meals in. With 70 feet of private frontage on the bluff, the soothing sounds of the waves enhance the tranquility of this vacation retreat. Lake access is just a block away down a path. This secluded location is only 12 minutes from town.

The South Haven is a fantastic area to visit. While at home you will feel in nature and will be mezmorized by the crashing waves. Yet you are just short drive from wineries, orchards, restaurants and the cute town centers of South Haven and Saugatuck..

The home is yours to enjoy

Subtle blue colors and lovely touches throughout- this loving family home has been updated and outfitted with two new king beds. The home is stocked with everything you will need to have a comfortable relaxed vacation. Please leash your pets on the deck for their safety. Please note, this home has a narrow spiral staircase to access the upstairs living space and has well water (Culligan filtration) but expect some discoloration/ smell. Water from the fridge Britta has been filtered for drinking.

Car needed. Biking, Hiking, and Lake activities abound.

There is no direct beach access from this property. It is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. Beach/Water access is down the block on a path down.

The right 1/4 of the deck is no longer usable because of safety from dune erosion. The railings have been reconfigured to restrict access to that area. New for June 2022- We have XFINITY/COMCAST! WiFi Woo hoo- can stream shows. The cell service in the area can be spotty however, because you pick up the Chicago and Michigan towers.

Well behaved pets are invited and pet fee of $250 will be payable direct post booking.

Beach Getaway

What an awesome location! Siting perfectly on a bluff with wide panoramic view of Lake Michigan. This is a perfect place for those who just want to sit down and enjoy the stunning view of the lake with a sip of a favorite beverage and unwind.

Gorgeous views, excellent communication and very clean, well stocked home.I’m taking away a star for the fact that the beds were all pretty worn out. The last night we were there, my husband actually slept on the couch, because one of the beds was pretty soft, and we were sinking right into it. Neither of us are overweight at all, so if you need a firm mattress, you may want to just take note.Otherwise, highly recommend the home.

South Haven Grtaway

Very nice and relaxing time with smooth process and clean residence. Had everything we needed. Able to get to sagatauck and south haven easily. Only issue is wifi is slow and not reliable which owner is aware of. Didn’t really affect our stay as we were not watching tv or on the internet. Cell reception is also a bit spotty. Beach is accessible but fairly rocky. Overall we had a good time and comfortable stay. The view from the back porch is amazing.

Absolutely Perfect Beachfront Getaway

This home is comfortable and well maintained. The views of Lake Michigan are absolutely breathtaking. Being right on the beach bluff made it so easy to enjoy slow mornings with coffee by the water and sunset walks along the shore. We even got to enjoy seeing bald eagles and other hawks. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat, quiet, serene, and restorative.The house itself was spotless, well-stocked, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell the owners really care about creating a welcoming space. Everything from the kitchen setup to the cozy beds was perfect. Something to note is that the spiral staircase is quite narrow, which might be difficult for less mobile/disabled folks. Access to the private beach was very easy - walking or driving. Beachfront was a great place for swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding. The beach has some rocks towards the shore but becomes sandy a little further out, so I would bring water shoes next time. South Haven is charming and close enough (under 15 minutes) for great restaurants, shops, and activities. We loved Sherman’s for ice cream and Clementines for dinner. The walk to the lighthouse is cute too. We can’t wait to come back. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommend!

Nice view

The property was fairly clean and it had a stunning view! The Wi-Fi was terrible, almost unusable. The bedroom on the top floor smelled like dog urine and we had to buy a box of carpet cleaner just to be able to tolerate it. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable, including the bed in the bedroom by the kitchen. The home was well stocked and the balcony is gorgeous. The beach is somewhat difficult to access, but we had a nice time there. Spiral staircase is very difficult to navigate so would not take a person with physical handicaps to this property. The biggest issue we encountered was with the host herself. I'm not saying she's not a nice person, but we were supposed to check out on Saturday and we told her we were going to leave on Friday instead. Cleaners came on Thursday and then she called us on Friday saying there was no late checkout and what will we do still doing there? We had to remind her that we were not supposed to check out until Saturday and it just felt rude and unwelcoming. We would not book from her again because of that. If she had been apologetic, that would have been fine. But she seemed extremely annoyed that we were still on the property and I felt like she should have made sure what she was talking about before saying anything ... Or at the very least apologized. When we got there she checked in with us a couple days later so not the same day. Again, it's in a very nice neighborhood with a beautiful view of the lake. We just personally would not stay there again.

Josh- sorry about the mixup with the date you were leaving, I can only blame human error of trying to keep the calendar straight between multiple channels- I notified the cleaning crew incorrectly of your early departure and was then flustered when they arrived and you were still there. Hope you made good memories in Michigan.

The views of Lake Michigan set this home apart from other rentals! The deck was phenomenal! Open concept of house was so nice. Stacy was very responsive to all our questions. We had a great vacation!

Gorgeous view

We had a great week at this property. There is no outdoor space for small children and no way down to the beach, but this was made clear in the online listing, so no real surprise there. The house was clean, it had everything we needed. And I mean everything: Bathroom products, kitchen supplies, laundry supplies, towels, washcloths, beach stuff, books, puzzles, games, pretty much everything! The wi-fi was great. Previous reviews indicated it was spotty so we weren't expecting much and that upgrade was an awesome surprise. We also went in understanding that cell reception was not great and that is true, and is nothing Stacy has control over. The lower floor where you access the house has the two bedrooms, a full bath and the washer/dryer. This was a bit musty, but given the lake proximity and it is built kind of into a slope, that is to be expected. There is a humidifier available that helped. The steps leading up to the main floor are circular and you are made aware of them in the online listing so we did expect it. They are a bit narrow, but we went up and down just fine all week, (including the 3 yo) and there is a set of outside steps that go around to the back deck if you need to carry anything large up to the main floor. The main floor is where this house really shines. The back deck is breathtaking. The view is everything promised by the online listing. The sunsets were awesome, and just to sit out there and listen to the waves was so relaxing. The kitchen was nice sized, and had everything we needed. We cooked dinner a couple of nights, used the grill just fine, and made breakfast most mornings. It's open concept had plenty of space for our family of 6 adults, 2 older teens, a 3 yo and a dog to spread out. The tv streamed great, it is not hooked up to any cable but we were fine with that. The house is about 15 minutes to South Haven, which worked for us just fine. Great public beaches, lots of cute shopping and restaurants. There is a great Meijer at the edge of South Haven for any emergency needs, and Saugatuck (for more shopping) is about 15 minutes the other way from the house, so we found it to be ideally located and peaceful. We had a really great family week here, and made a lot of memories. It would also be a great house for a girls weekend, or friends getaway. Stacy was very responsive to every question we had, although we really didn't need much. Would not hesitate to stay here again! Thanks, Stacy!!

Perfect Getaway

Our family had a wonderful winter vacation here at the house. The view of the lake is incredible and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Communication with the property manager was clear throughout the entire process. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views! Great layout!

We had a great time at this property with our friends. Everyone enjoyed the exceptional sunsets! We also saw a lot of wild life from the deck. The kids liked the sun room and beach. We also had a great time at the local breweries and orchards. Stacy was an excellent host. Overall it was an excellent experience!
