We are locate on one of the cleanest lakes in the state. Great fishing, boating, water sports. Private dock for your convenience. Beautiful sandy beach. House has a nice deck looking at the water with beautiful sunsets. Back bedroom sleeps 5 and has AC. Only 45 minutes to Traverse City and 30 minutes to Turtle Creek casino. Canoe liveries only minutes away. BBQ grill for your use, fire pit, picnic table. House will sleep 9. We also have a pontoon boat available to rent on site and have kayaks and a paddle board that we offer. There is also a private raft. All bedding is provided.

Lovely lake!

Nice beach, clean lake. Cabin was a bit challenging.

I’m not sure why the cabin is challenging. It is not a huge cabin, some areas are smaller but the cabin is clean and all facilities are there. Anything that is needed is provided by the landlord. I understand that Janet was use to a huge bathroom and this is a smaller bathroom with a typical older lakefront septic. The lake is beautiful, the area is beautiful, summer is meant to be outside, enjoy the amenities.

The host, John was awesome. Excellent amenities and checked on us to see if we needed anything. Responded to our questions quickly. Water is absolutely beautiful and prime location. Would definitely stay again

Family Time

This property is right on the water so we could sit on the deck and watch the kids play. The area is absolutely beautiful. John is by far the best property owner we have ever rented from. He provided a very stress-free stay. Will definitely stay again.

Overpriced

Cobbled up 1960s house trailer hidden by siding, only had push button locks on exterior doors. No window in one bedroom, no bolts holding toilet, bugs, bad mold and mildew smell No wifi,and a window banger in one bedroom for air conditioning…..

Hopefully helpful for other guests

The owner was great with communication and responsive. We knew that the place would be rustic but were still surprised. The kitchen was very small and not clean. The bathroom is also extremely small and the shower is elevated which makes it difficult for taller people to shower. Overall cleanliness was not great. The place does not have air conditioning (except for the room with bunk beds) and the weather was very hot for the first part of our stay and it was uncomfortable. The lake is a beautiful lake but we would not stay here again.

It is a rustic cabin because of that it might come across as not clean because it is older. The entire place is deep cleaned after each guest and we have never had an issue with cleanliness. Items are older and may not have the newness that some people are used to. We have multiple guest that come back year after year and enjoy themselves. We are sorry this guest had an issue with cleanliness but we take extreme pride in making sure everything is clean and sanitized.

Lake was absolutely gorgeous and clean. We had a great time on the lake. John was a great host; provided us items that the kitchen didn't have. He was available anytime. Thanks John for a great vacation. We cannot wait to go back

Bear Lake Family Vacation

We had an excellent time staying at this property. We had 4 adults and 5 children and there was room for everyone. The kids especially enjoyed the dock and beach. Perfect swimming location. You really can't beat the location.

A week on the lake

John is the Best host we've come in contact with in a long time. He was there to greet us when we arrived and even offered to help us unload our truck. The house was old, but comfy. The beach was great and the water clean and clear. Dock was long enough to reach the deep water, so no worries. And the public launch is six houses away. Gas grill was available for use as well as a fire pit.

Beautiful Bear Lake

This property is wonderful for enjoying this beautiful lake. The sand beach is perfect and lots of lawn furniture and water toys are included. It was very nice to have a long dock and the public boat launch is close by which was very convenient. The cottage is close to the water so the view was spectacular.
